Who could possibly say no to any of them?
The pictures of the sleeping critters remind me of some baby photos of my canine step-brother that my mother took. The little guy was the runt of the litter, which might be why my father chose him.
It turns out to have been a good move. The two of them took to each other right away. Some of the pictures show the critter fast asleep on my father’s lap or curled up with him while napping on the couch.
Ya gotta love these creatures!
As a kid I used to be smitten with this TV show and used to tune in, even the theme song brings back memories…does anyone remember this?
Here he is, London, aka “The Littlest Hobo” from 1963 in his First Episode, in
“Blue Water Sailor” — looks like he’s in Vancouver. (25:53)

My next-door neighbours are a pair of senior citizens. She’s not handling Fauci’s Folly (otherwise known here as Tam’s Typhoid) very well, so whenever her daughter visits, she takes along her puppy as “therapy” for her mother.
The little furball is only a few months old and I already made friends with it. She’s a bundle of energy and she’s quick to show what she thinks of me with her tongue.
They are SO cute. I’ll be bookmarking that page! Thanks for sharing Nancy, you brought a smile to my face.
My pleasure, you’re welcome. That whole site, “Bored Panda” has some great photos on practically every topic, including some very hilarious stuff, Mr K.
Enjoy!
Awwwww…Nancy. Thanks for posting this. What a great way to start the day, with lots of smiles! Dogs are the best. After all, dog IS God spelled backwards, lol!

The 21st Century as envisioned in 1967:

Don’t forget that 2001: A Space Odyssey was released in 1968. We’re nowhere close to what Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke had foreseen.
In addition, we’re 2 years past Blade Runner.
I mentioned the BBC TV series Star Cops the other day. It was produced in the late 1980s and it takes place later this decade. In the vision of the show, there should be a number of space stations in orbit in cislunar space, and there would also be a number of habitations on the moon as well as on Mars.
On the other hand, 2001 predicted tablet computers and Star Cops forsaw smartphones.
Cislunar space? What? No translunar space? Sorry, B A. I couldn’t resist. I learn something new every day; I had to look that one up.
don’t cry for me canada just pay me off

In other words, buy now, but pay only if you like what you got or if you want to.
Yup, that’ll sure help with government deficit spending, won’t it?
It reminds me of a student who once worked on my teeth at the university dental clinic. She told me that once she got her practice going, she’ll be charging her clientele more because of her student debts.
Uh, no, young lady, that’s not how it works. You can charge whatever your patients can afford to pay, within the limits set by your profession. From that income, you have to pay your bills, because you need to remain solvent in order to continue practicing. You also need to set something aside for your taxes because the government requires it.
From whatever’s left over, you take what you need in order to keep a roof over your head and food on the table. Anything remaining from that can be used to pay off your loans and that might not be much.
Welcome to the real world.
