        Still fail to include the 78% Nitrogen gas in our atmosphere which have unique properties in itself.

        1. What rotates our planet? — Inertia. Newton’s first law of motion – An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion.

          What keep it in an orb shape? —- Gravity. Big things fall down.

          You have heat and light but what happens to that flaming gases? — What flaming gasses? The product is helium and it is likely captured by the sun’s gravity.

          The rest of it is unanswerable. The force of gravity is greater than the centrifugal force of rotation. There is hope though. It will all be answered in Grade 10 science.

In the Doctor Dread thread yesterday James made the comment that boomers put us where we are, and I thought that after having agreed with him, and having others state that they did not vote for this and are boomers, it dawned on me that of course the boomers are responsible, they were the majority for decades. All governments in the country essentially were voted for by boomers for those decades. They are the older folks running around with masks on and hiding a at home while criticizing healthy people for getting out and trying to live their lives. They are the one’s driving the insanity surrounding the whu who flu.

  9. Since the pandemic has basically shut down the economy, it would make sense to temporarily lay off about 30% of civil servants. This is not a punishment but simply facing reality. They could be on E.I and the savings would be substantial

    1. I think that makes a lot of sense. Otherwise, only one group is hurt — and expected to pay for the damage. Often you can argue that public servants pay helps the communities they are in, but with local businesses closed, that cannot happen. Public servants are simply a further drain on the economy. I don’t believe Harper would have been so stupid in handling the pandemic. I miss Stephen Harper — a lot.

    1. Alberta has many abandoned towns. The Coal Branch, south of Edson Alberta, and toward the mountains was a branch of the Grand Trunk Pacific. There are about 20 abandoned mining towns left in the wake of the railway switch to diesel and the home heating switch to natural gas. A few towns still have people and I think there is a mine or two left mining coal for China so they can have cheap electricity so their manufacturing thrives while ours dies..
