Has any of these self avowed Federalists,made the case for continuation of Confederation?
Do they “know” that the benefits to us in the West are so great,that they need no discussion?
Cause I do not get it.
The numbers are brutal,from the raw data we are destined to fail,if we continue borrowing against children unborn and breaking the productive.
The future we are passing on to the next generation,is stark.
Systemic theft,institutional madness, celebration of perversion and castigation of productive practises.
Citizens are seen as “the problem” and criminals as the ‘victims”.
We have no “safe spaces” otherwise known as national borders and inside those formerly important lines,we share no values nor vision of the future.
Inviting even more parasites into our economy,benefits whom?
Inviting ,as in paying benefits to, non citizens to live at our expense,to vote as quickly as possible…this builds what?
Spending ever increasing volumes of public wealth on welfare,is now referred to as “Investing in the future”.
So what is the case for “Confederated Canada”?
According to my perception a smaller country with common values may be our only hope and a clear path to a wealthier future.
Because we tried.

Reform failed .
Reform failed because East and West have very few values in common.
Eastern Canada is a well established Kleptocracy, an almost perfect model of the dictionary meaning of Kleptocracy.
The West despises this systemic corruption,except for the urban centres where outposts of Ottawa thrive.
We are now living the dream.
Treason does thrive,where none dare call it treason.
Now our government of record openly steals,proudly steals and spits in the property owners eye.
We need a new country.

Actually the parasites are those that feed on those that come here to enrich the Canadian society with their ancient bullshit.
Those are just incidental.
The actual parasites extract from the working, tax paying Canadians billions of dollars.
Just another way to look at it.
Clearly, if we had wanted someone who understood Western Heritage to represent us Federally, we should’ve voted Liberal. Our mistake.
I submit to you that the goal of the Liberal Government is Western separation. Once the West leaves Canada, Trudeau can claim that what is left of of the country can achieve its Paris Agreement climate change target.
If Trudeau and the Liberals win the next election then this Ontario boy is out of here. It will be either Alberta or the U.S. for me. If Alberta gets its act together and leaves then I will go there. But, if they continue to be a doormat for the Canadian elites then it’s the U.S. for me.
I have been thinking along the same lines and agree with your theory on Liberal intentions.
My concern here in Alberta is our Federalist Premier and a younger generation that has been bought off. We could well go NDipper again.
Premier Kenny is holding a losing hand in this poker game with Trudeau. If he does not get some new cards, like favourable terms from the orange man including:
• support for a separation referendum of 50% =1,
• a US dollar currency,
• preferred trading status,
• military protection, and
• complete and total independence from Canada without any strings attached to the U.S. …
• other than to kick any Chinese owned oil, gas, mining entities the hell out of a newly independent Alberta
then Kenny will be remembered as the “doormat” premier from the West.
Can’t stand Rempel. At least she’s got some get up and go, but she’s basically using the same tactic here that opponents of Ed Stelmach used provincially 10 years ago. (They asked him to name his favourite Alberta artists and he mumbled something about his town’s highschool band or something.)
Anyway, this is just a weak attempt at loaded questions with gotcha answers. The effect will be the same as everything that Cuckservatives do…nothing.

I watched to about the 4 minute mark and couldn’t take it. Remple embarrassed herself trying to make cheap political points at the expense of a know nothing librano minister. I’m not entertained by crap like this trying to produce a gotcha. He might be stupid but so is Remple thinking this type shit has value. It doesn’t.
Remple needs to refocus on the crisis that is going on in Alberta and Canada and quit wasting her time emoting and asking nothing questions while the country burns.
Our real Heritage Minister is Ahmed Hussen and his ilk. To them, true western heritage consists of importing as many of their clan to Canada and making it a permanent realm of Allah.

Basic data seem to show that the optimal population for a prosperous, stable, cohesive country is < 10 million, and usually 5-7 million people.

Completely agreed. The prairie provinces plus Alaska and most of the Rocky Mountain states form the Confederation of Northwest America. Enough resources, and educated people.
It was 1967 and the Confederation Train had just made it to Saskatoon (late May, early June as I was still in public school). A group was formed called the “Canada West Project” to determine what Western Canadian culture was, after all of the flack from Ottawa and their general disdain. It disbanded a few years later and as I recall, the report said that they had difficulty framing on paper what constituted Western Canadian culture – in short, they couldn’t agree. Please feel to correct me if my memory of events is incorrect as I could be wrong and if you do, please cite a source that I may read.
So as much as I despise the Liberal Party of Canada, and while I don’t think that the Minister of Culture is very bright, it is a very hard question to answer, and at this moment, not really important. Culture is preserved by groups of people, not by government regulation or intervention, in my opinion. If people like your art, and can afford it, they will buy it and that is a very personal matter. Artists have always had to struggle for patronage (I have three of them in my house). If the country doesn’t get back to work, art will become a very low priority, no matter which culture we are talking about.

Governments have no business being involved in heritage or culture. These ministries should not exist at the federal and provincial level. Expecting a Liberal MP from Quebec to have any appreciation of western heritage is a lost cause. Remple should be trying to pare down leviathan not attempting to make it function where it is impossible.
