    1. It is said that Cuomo declined to purchase 16,000 Ventilators needed to stockpile New York’s emergency supply at a cost of $576M. That’s roughly $36,000.00 per ventilator. So I went looking for the cost of ventilator machines … and found one of the most complex, high tech models on its own stand with computer screen and all the bells and whistles … for $17,000.00.
      Why does the Government pay DOUBLE the HIGHEST market price for essential medical equipment? Because it’s play money. Your money.

      Yeah … there will be plenty of “takers” on the Government RFP’s for more ventilators. Takers.

      2. It does speak well of Mr. Cuomo that he declined to buy the ventilators. I haven’t been a fan of his in the past, but he’s looked pretty good for the past three weeks or so.

  2. That’s potentially great news. It would be helpful to know the reliability of the test i.e. false positive and false negative.

  3. That’s amazing considering it was 24 hours per test a week ago. Production numbers are a good start. Korea was up to 100,000 tests per day but it helped them beat it down. Alberta has performed 37,673 tests with 542 positives. With only two deaths were are doing better than Germany at 0.37% mortality. So far.

    Speaking of Deutschland, a relative is a professor of language over there. She said “…all industry is shut down. Greta would be proud”. I replied “Everyone is unemployed and contemplating suicide. Greta’s job is one”. I thought we were on Messenger but it was Facebook. I think her German prof friends will be shocked.

  4. Big pharma is not interested in dead people. They want as many billions of people to live on Earth as its carrying capacity allows, all chronically sick and in need of perpetual medication. Take your blinds off!

    1. Big Pharma and big Industry in general does see you as customer or perhaps employee both are valued by them, for the greens on the other hand you are a burden on the planet that needs to be reduced or eliminated.

    2. What’s your issue? Simply don’t take their medicines. Maybe practice some wholistic, ritualistic, tribal medicines. Go eat some fern fronds to settle your stomach. Me? I’ll take the greatest pill ever invented that keeps my congenital high blood pressure at bay. Each pill that I take (daily) costs about $0.15 ea.

  6. That’s great. More and faster testing is certainly helpful. However, what people who have the virus need is treatment. Treatment right now!

    I just watched Tucker Carlson interview an MD who is based at a New York City hospital. The MD spoke of how overwhelmed they are at his hospital trying to treat ChiCom virus patients. When asked whether ventilators help people survive. He replied, “…only in a few cases”.

    He was later asked what steps he is taking to protect himself? After mentioning the usual frequent replacement of masks, gloves, gowns, etc., he let slip he also takes a “prophilactic” medication.

    (Exactly what Scott Adams was saying in his podcast posted on SDA yesterday. You mean to tell me this MD is taking himself, but not giving to his dying patients! OUTRAGEOUS! Criminal Negligence Causing Death!)

    Well here I was, waiting for Tucker to follow-up on that to ask about the 30,000 doses of hydroxychloroquine & Z-pac that President Trump has sent to New York City and whether the MD had received and had started using any of this medication, but HE SAID NOTHING…

    In the next interview with Dr. Mark Siegal (sp?), one of Tucker’s producers slid a question to Tucker to ask Dr. Siegal about this “prophylactic” medication. Dr. Siegal replied that it was likely hydroxychloroquine. It seemed obvious from their discussion that Tucker did not know what this medication was?!?!?!

    Someone needs to ask Andrew Cuomo (or one of these MDs if they get the chance) how many of the patients that have died since Tuesday (now that today is Friday, that’s an eternity for anyone who has been fighting for their life to breathe) were given Hydroxychlorquine & Z-Pac?
    So far, I have not heard a single “journalist?” asking this? Anyone else heard whether someone has been asking about hydroxychloroquine?

      In fact there were originally 26 patients in the treatment group, but 3 were dropped because they got worse, 1 died, 1 quit, and 1 couldn’t tolerate the drug. It’s possible HCQ actually *increased* mortality, but simply inadequate data to draw conclusions.

    What I am trying to find out is whether MDs in NYC have started using these doses of hydroxychloroquine & Z-pac they’ve been sent (worried some may be choosing not to use) and, if so, what results they are seeing?

    Now test everybody—and that means everybody.

    And if he tests positive, hold him for six weeks in an isolation centre, no exceptions, no excuses. Make sure the isolation room is high enough off the ground that a jump from the window is not survivable.

    Let him scream “RACIST!” at the top of his lungs until they start filling up with fluid.

    That done, there will be no excuse not to let everybody attend a wonderful Easter service, and go back to work on Monday.

    Keep the Chinese out of the United States from now on—and keep the US border with Canada closed to visitors until Ottawa is willing to do the same.

  14. That last point concerns something called ‘convalescent serum’ and it’s a very old tool against disease it was even used against polio. If you’ve had it and beat it, your serum (not so much plasma) can be injected into other people for antibodies. I’m surprised China doesn’t leap at the opportunity to become a world serum superpower.
