    1. The word is that he was driving his RCMP detail crazy with requests for selfies, so they gave him some mugshot books and told him to choose some new independent Senators and non-partisan, non-biased Liberal Judges.

  1. What iceberg? I don’t see an iceberg? The band is still playing. All is well. The midnight buffet is almost ready.

Why yes, the doors are solid wood and should float, why do you ask?

    1. Two weeks ago my sister-in-law (60 years old) went off on a cruise, leaving from Miami. My wife warned her not to go. This morning we hear she is quarantined on the ship, feeling very sick.

    2. Yeah, lets bring in MOAR infected convenient Canadians from Iran, as no flights are barred, no travel bans.

      What could possibly go wrong?

    3. … and if necessary we can lock up the plebs from the lower decks where they belong.

  2. Turdhole still hiding under the bed… Liberal Ministers continue to lie to the public aided and abetted by their corrupt over paid Liberal Party Media… “screening” (there is none) travel restrictions” ( there are none) but that doesn’t stop Liberal mouthpieces and their Media from saying the exact opposite… Liberals are truly evil… Do you have to pass a stupid test to be part of the Turdhole Media cartel or is the absence of any measurable character or personal integrity sufficient enough for entry… ? I sure hope Juthtin the Turdhole has enough Meth and imported Vodka stashed under the bed… we wouldn’t want the stupid asshole to run out of his essential supplies… I mean spending 14 days hiding under the bed while the country burns and remains leaderless is the ultimate act of heroism, or at least thats what the taxpayer funded Media says. I wonder if that racist Jughead the Turban guy is hiding under the same bed as Juthtin the Turdhole… maybe they’re plague buddy’s.

    1. Pure propaganda in Blairs Tweet on March 13 (copy and paste)…
We have enhanced screening measures in place at all international airports, as well as land/rail/marine ports of entry. We are taking the necessary steps to ensure that Canadians are safe in the face of COVID-19. https://canada.ca/en/border-services-agency/news/2020/03/statement-fromjohn-ossowski-the-president-of-the-canada-border-services-agency.html

I landed at Pearson at 4 PM March 13…that screening he referred to was one question on the computerised passport station..have you been to Italy, Iran, or a province in China? That was it!

So I am self isolating by choice, not because our inept beaurocrats have a clue.

      1. On a touchscreen. That you touch with your hands. After thousands of people have also touched the same screen with their hands.

    2. I read on the Fox news crawl, the minstrel was…..”governing from his home, while in self imposed isolation”.
Hahahaha hehehehe hohohohoho, lmao, GOVERNING, surely they jest?

  3. Came through Pearson yesterday afternoon from La Guardia New York, Escorted in pairs to customs. Were not asked ANY questions. Through and out in under five minutes.

  4. Lack of leadership by federal, provincial and municipal governments in this country is depressing.

Governments have ONE JOB, to protect their citizens. They’ve ALL failed.

    1. Holy Guacamole MM, it’s like you think these people work for us, or something.

This is Canada, where all us citizen peons should feel privileged to be in servitude to our political masters.

    2. If a Liberal lies (don’t they always), and the Media doesn’t report it (and they never do), does that mean it never happened?

Why is there no one trying to hold our biased, dishonest, partisan, co-opted, fake news synonym Canadian Main Stream Media to account?

      No one. Nada. Zippo.

Just how useless, ineffective and incompetent can one Conservative Party be?

  5. We’re at the fourth turning where there is widespread loss of faith in institutions, tbh they are so rotten that it’s mostly facade left. One well aimed push and they will disintegrate and we can start anew. This year feels like 1989 when the Iron Curtain that looked so strong and threatening, collapsed under its own weight. I haven’t felt this optimistic for years.

  6. This is no time for ineptitude and outright stupidity in the leadership of this country. Trudeau has no idea what to do and sadly his whole gang are just as clueless. Popping out from his “cottage” with the breathless dramatics doesn’t cut it, it didn’t stop foolish, inconsiderate people from boarding planes and flying off for March break.

    1. And don’t forget that our greatest concern should be for Prinz Dummkopf’s comfort and safety. Without that, how can he dispense the love and guidance that he so selflessly bestows upon us?

Nah. Who cares if he gets sick? If he does, he can finally “identify” with the common people he claims he cares about but openly despises.

      1. “Without that, how can he dispense the lo e and guidance that he so selflessly bestows upon himself and his buds.” There, fixed it for you.

        1. My original comment was, of course, meant to be tongue in cheek. I’ve mentioned on several occasions the one time I listened to a broadcast from Radio Pyongyang in the mid-1980s. The announcer kept using a phrase something like “the love and guidance of our Dear Leader”, referring to the original dictator, Kim Il-Sung, who was still alive at the time, and attributing any and all accomplishments to him.

I’d wager that HRH Prinz Dummkopf von Schwartzesgesicht fancies himself to be like him.

  7. Tried to call the Canadian consulate in Miami Friday. Gave up because of press 1, then press 3, then press 1 again, press 5, press 6, go back to the main menu then reset and repeat. All of the recorded voices of course were French Canadian. Us Canadians are on our own down here. You can say what you want about Trump but at least he is taking charge. He is well ahead of the Pandemic curve. Of course CNN and MSNBC would tell you otherwise.

  8. Guess those Congolese coming through at Roxham Road are fully screened……not.

  9. I guess I’ll really start worrying when I hear that it has killed Keith Richards.

  10. The corporate media have been beating the drums against “panic buying” and “stocking up” with toilet paper and non-perishables. They say there is plenty for everybody. But wait. The last two days the corporate media have been singing about “social distance” and the benefits of staying at home. This is the result of seeing their Hero Justin, at his Saturday presser, isolating himself. But that’s why people are, rationally, stocking up, so they can go months without shopping and exposing themselves to the virus.

My wife and I are mostly done our stocking-up shopping. We are retirees. We made the decision yesterday that no one will enter our house after next week, and we will be hunkering down. And our schmucky-city of Fredericton has no caronavirus cases; only two in New Brunswick.

  11. ‘that’s why people are, rationally, stocking up, so they can go months without shopping and exposing themselves to the virus’
Are you exposed to any risk when you have to fight cheek to jowl crowds to stock up on that TP or is that a dumb question?

    1. On Friday we drove out to Costco where the wife took one look at the overfilled parking lot and the people streaming into the building and said, “forget it, wild horses would not drag me in there today”.

  12. Of course they’re not going to ask any questions. That would be racist.

If they were serious, all international flights into Canada would have already ceased, with those in the air told to turn back. Better Matt than me.

  13. So, I just finished scrolling the headlines of both Breitbart and FoxNews’s home pages and found the word ‘coronavirus’ mentioned dozens of times, just the word ‘virus’ mentioned a handful, and the word ‘Wuhan’ NOT ONCE between them!

No damn wonder the right has been getting it’s ass kicked in the propaganda wars these past many years. Other than Trump himself, we often seem so unable to catch up to the left’s lies and smears, let alone ever get out in front of them.

    Sigh.

  14. Government worker returns from vacation, catches up on the hysteria and theatre.

Perhaps that’s unfair, it has been months since regularly reading our government media like the National Post, Globe & Mail, CBC, etc. etc… maybe Gurney is a decent fellow, but if so, then it’s likely the government disciples who read his paper don’t like him anyway, he’s in a lose lose situation.

Instead of The National Post reminding everyone that Justin Trudeau is very pretty, again, perhaps he could find time to mention that the federal government picked up passport holders from virus zones and unleashed them on Canadians, besides handing out another thousand-million dollars to their friends, that is the sum total of action by our Liberal government.

If Matt Gurney could make that known and understood by real Canadians then he will have performed a great public service.

  15. I think their current plan is to very hard pretend that they are doing something. And if pretending is too hard just keep repeating how hard you are doing something.

Probably a logical plan. It is too late to do anything with the resources they have now. They know we will be Italy in a couple of weeks at the latest, probably sooner.

So the objective is to make sure that there is enough health support for elites and the MSM prostitutes (when it is over and corpses are incinerated they will need the MSM to sing hosannas to their brilliant leadership during the crisis). Whatever they have left after priorities are taken care off is best used to help publik sektor and protected minorities.
