    1. Someone with more power than most of us wants Trudeau gone. NYT is a barometer of who is in and who is out. They are also controlled media. Maybe the dark skinned Carlos Slim ( a Muslim, I believe) did not care for the performance.

  4. I’m wondering when the Trudeau Liberals will get the “scandal plagued government” title by the media. It’s not like the Liberals haven’t earned it. You know a conservative government would have already gotten that treatment much sooner. A list :

    Multiple breaking of ethics laws by Trudeau and other MPs

    The pressure, slander and firing of an aboriginal MP

    The firing another prominent woman MP

    Backroom deals with white collar criminal corporations. Then trying to cover up the corruption by blocking all investigations by committees, watchdogs and even the RCMP

    Trying to cover for anti-semitic candidates

    The “thank you for your donation” to an aboriginal woman protester as she dragged out after asking for clean drinking water for her people, to the applause of rich Liberal donors

    The Prime Minister an international embarrassment due to his multiple racist acts

    Sexism, racism, corruption…its all there, and more.

    1. You seem to be forgetting that the CBC acts as the propaganda arm of the Liberal government and the others are not much better if any. Sun News was effectively banished and there is no real opposition to the “woke” narrative. Harper’s biggest failure was not privatizing the CBC when he had a chance. What Trump realizes is they are going to hate and try to destroy him regardless so he might as well fight back as hard as they attack.

  8. OK I agree one hundred %. I find a couple of things very telling..He Trudeau is totally lacking in morals, ethics, integrity and honesty..it now seems he is a racist as well. To blame ” white privilege” as he has done, only shows he is NOT sorry and will tray and blame anyone but take responsibility for himself. Have you ever noticed that the person or persons screaming racism and all the other “ism’s” the loudest, in the end are shown to be the worst offender.       1. I don’t blame them for not switching leaders in the middle of an election, but post-election ( win or lose) Trudeau should be given the boot. I also find it offensive that they are getting black spokespeople to defend him. Quite a few have done so. They come across as Uncle Toms. It’s demeaning for them and the party should not be coercing them into doing this. The other thing it does is label them as affirmative action participants — kind of like they needed a pat on the head from Trudeau to be recognized. The whole episode is insulting to Blacks (and Browns). Anyway, Canadians cannot be so dumb as to let Liberals get in again. Surely they cannot.

  11. Blackface Groper ranted today that gun violence is Harper’s fault. Shouldn’t we ban Harper to solve the problem? And maybe stupid can explain how banning assault rifles is going to solve the problem in cities, when all the shootings are caused by handguns, usually smuggled in from the States. Many of them come through indian reserves. Is he going to crack down on indian reserves smuggling guns? Meanwhile Gerald Butts is busy today getting MPs to tweet out videos and pictures of Hitler Scheer meeting so called gun lobbyists. That is much worse that wearing blackface.

  12. People are still out their defending him. One acquaintance of mine is angry at Conservatives for resorting to pettiness. I could not believe that she was unaware of the dirty politics perpetually played by Liberals. They are the masters. Anyway, she seemed oblivious and was angry about the photo release (she did not even know about the sleazy video.) I pointed out that Conservatives did not release the photo. “They knew about it.” she says. Again, I was flabbergasted. Too many dumb people out there, and this particular woman is smart. Canadians thinking about voting Liberal should consider whether or not this is someone we want representing us on the world stage. Truthfully, I think many international leaders already know he is a fool. It’s Canadians who need to start paying attention.

Any pictures around of Justin hanging around with the boys when he was a younger guy? You know, working on cars, pickup hockey, drinking party? No, eh?

Maybe there is some cunning master plan here, U.S. media (although liberal) leading the attack on a Canadian prime minister could inflame nationalist sentiment which is more or less the base of the Liberal vote? Perhaps this is all being done to keep Justin front and centre for days then as the focus inevitably switches to more serious issues, the lower information voters just have the image of Justin seared into their minds.

    There is no middle ground any more with a polarized electorate and country. There probably is no critical mass of decent Canadians who would vote him out of office on principle either. It’s a matter of each tribe to their own longhouse and beat the drums night and day until the votes are counted. It may leave a faint imprint on the results. But perhaps more telling will be the later campaign focus on the SNC Lavalin and removal of JWR issues. Those could have more impact than this rather diversionary scandal which will be whatever each voter thinks it to be. I have to admit, if I were a Liberal supporter (this is a really difficult thought experiment) I would probably shrug this off thinking well what does it actually matter now, he was like this as a younger man but now he’s different. Let’s face it, we’re making the same call on Max Bernier, who left his important documents at a friend’s apartment back in the day, or Andy Scheer who didn’t finish his vegetables perhaps. Or the once intoxicated Liz May. Each tribe, as I said, in their longhouse, oblivious.

    It will be the goodies offered at each potlatch that pulls in the numbers to chant and beat those drums.

Forget the blackface he is getting away with, he also seems ‘in the clear’ with his ‘manhandling’ of this young woman … there is very, very little media fuss on this – maybe if he did not have the makeup on folks would zero in on this fact. All kinds of questions flying about, but what about the girl … was she staff or student? Was she ok with his handling of her like that? This has ‘scuzzy slime ball pervert’ written all over it and he should be raked over the coals for it.

      On the plane when Trudeau gave his first news conference about this new scandal, a Presser asked that question ie: about who the girl was and Trudeau looked down and smiled and replied that “she’s a friend.”

      I believe that all this is just a diversion from the real scandal, that is, the more serious one , that of the SNC Affair.

    Will LPC support drop far enough to give the cpc a victory- hopefully a majority?

    I doubt polling will show a big drop and lord knows the media will do their darndest to prop up their employer.

    But when Canadians motivated enough to go vote look at the ballot, will four years of ridicule make them vote something (anything) other than liberal?

  23. Couple of letters to G&M editor

    As someone of South Asian and Muslim background, I’m not offended by what Justin Trudeau wore (although a 29-year-old teacher should have known better).

    What I do find concerning is Mr. Trudeau’s hypocrisy. The same man who would likely be calling for Andrew Scheer’s leadership resignation if he were in the same position is now preaching forgiveness. He would likely not allow someone to run as a Liberal candidate if they had partaken in blackface even once. Yet it seems his own rules don’t apply to himself, because he was “too privileged” to know any better.

    Mr. Trudeau needs to uphold the moral code he has set for everyone else.

    When asked why he has never said anything about wearing blackface or brownface, Justin Trudeau said it was because he was embarrassed. When asked why he didn’t initially mention the third incident, he said he didn’t remember because he didn’t realize how important it was.

    If Mr. Trudeau didn’t recognize how important it was, then what was he embarrassed about? It seems that he made a calculated risk that these pictures would never surface. But now that they have, he seems to believe he will be able to charm his way out.

Wake up. It was good for laughs for a couple of days, but now it’s old. Scheer still is wandering out in the wilderness on how this can be used.
