Can’t argue with that.
Incompetence cannot stand criticism of any kind.
Finally! We get a picture of Killer Marmot.
I never pegged him as wearing a man bun. Huh?
No Kenji, no.
The sewer rat is a cOnSeRvAtIvE. Cuz it says so. No, really, he is, despite every utterance, tirade, comment, copy/pasta screams Liberal Operative.
And, he’s like super duper intelligent too, cuz, yeah it sez so.
Ah shucks. Your obsession with me is getting downright embarrassing.
Fortunately, my obsession with you remains polite and dignified.
“Ah shucks. Your obsession with me is getting downright embarrassing.”
Not nearly as embarrassing as your own obsession with President Donald Trump.
You guys do nothing BUT talk about Donald Trump. I swear you must have his picture taped to your bedroom ceiling.
Still a better image than the mirror glued to your ceiling ~ ~ shudder ~ ~
Goodness, how you underestimate me. I have his CLONE taped to my bedroom ceiling, and feed it caviar.
Yeah, sure.
Keep saying that.
Canadians won’t notice the trade deal with Mexico, and no deal for Canada. Best look to the East.

Wab (perma-smirk) Kinew.
Wipe that smirk off your face, you colonial Premier.
The Communist WIFEBEATER forbids comments on his X.
Worst premier. Yeah, worse than Thug Ford and Drugstore Dave, and that’s saying something.
He was high at the time so there’s that…
Admirably succinct.
Tariffs are dumb. Economists having been making that point for more than two centuries. And tariffs manifestly make life more expensive for Americans, being a tax on importers, who dutifully hand the costs on to consumers. The US’s year-over-year inflation rate sits at 3.5%, the highest of any G7 country.
In fact, I am hard pressed to think of any US economic indicator that has improved since Trump took office. The stock market is up, which is great if you own significant equity. But GDP and jobs growth are mediocre. The balance of trade (which Trump obsesses over) has improved only marginally. And outside of the AI sector, business investment is down.
Which makes one wonder what Trump was liberating on Liberty Day. What has all this achieved?
Tariffs are the second oldest profession.
Just ask the Athenians et al.
“Economists”….as if all economists think the same. If they did, we would only need one. The GDP and jobs growth in the U.S. is far superior to ours and of course, the U.S. has to run all those illegals out of the country and those jobs will be replaced with Americans.
There are a few economists who view tariffs positively. Not many. The leading economists are nearly unanimous in viewing tariffs negatively, and a smart president would heed their advice.
But no, Trump decided Peter Navarro was the man. So far, the results have been mediocre. At some point, even Trump might question whether tariffs are a universal economic elixir.
Just goes to show you that economics isn’t a science. Doesn’t matter “how many”. That’s the same trap you always fall in.
If you’ve got something better than listening to top economists, let’s hear it.
I like to watch paint dry. It’s way better than listening to top economists.
“Leading” economists
aka
“Experts”
aka
“Consensus” of climate scientists
Yeah … we get it.
Okay, where should the president get his advice for the economy?
Like Covid “experts”?
You talk as if there were no ouija boards. Advice is everywhere. One takes it as one finds it.
From multiple sources with divergent viewpoints …
wd you admit that, without very close subsequent analysis, and some guesswork, and like all things that lack 100% certainty, if it were NOT for Trump they wd be worse?
can you imagine (shudder) the cackling shrieking thing running things? hmmmm?
How about both US parties put forward sane, competent candidates for president instead of, say, a woke scatterbrain and a geriatric nutjob? Or is the US no longer capable of that?
“a woke scatterbrain and a geriatric nutjob”
Okay, now do the Republicans.
Yup, the geriatric NUTJOB BIDIHN couldn’t run again, because:
Fraud/‘Figurehead’ of DOCTOR JILL/Demarxist Con Job/Incompetence.
All of the above.
Seems the Sewer Rat is the actual Nutjob on this board.
IT reminds me of the pointy headed twits ‘instructing’ at post-secondary.
-Smartest person in the room, according to them.
-Always quotes stats and sources, as if THAT is the only data required to make the point.
-Pithy, quick to be offended, but makes no haste in offending others.
-Arrogant and claims to a centrist, while being a farleft NUTJOB.
Yeah, that about describes IT.
IT is on X as well, but keeps a low profile.
Pompous arrogance. You reek of it.
My next band, Eureka Fit.
Sorry if someone slagged your hero. Next time, pick a better hero.
Well, I’m certainly holding out for one:

“Geriatric nutjob”
I may have my Trump 2028 poster taped to the ceiling … but you’re molesting your blowup doll with Trump’s face taped onto it. Obsessive compulsive creepstering.
He would know as Indians are a tariff on Canadians and make life more expensive for them.
Wab and the boys are up there with the tariff pirates of the Barbary coast.
Ouch. Dead center tap shot.
And it’s the treaty people who keep you in check as subjects of the King of England, and Blarney Carney for that matter. What’s the Inuit word for dhimmi?
Tariffs are a blunt tool but aren’t as dumb as the folks who require their use. Canada is not a sovereign nation. Trump has attempted negotiations with a Canadian junta, of sorts, with similar results in Iran, both financially controlled by the British imperialists. Perhaps regime change is in order. Why not, it’s like changing the name on a street. Are there any financially literate Eskimos available?
gotta admit when that connexion to the London banks & the mullahs came out l was shocked
to think the grinding insidious and dangerous bunch they were ‘backing’.
https://www.transparency.org.uk/news/londons-role-irans-financial-networks-and-why-it-matters-now
“Canada is not a sovereign nation. ”
Bullshit. King Charles is the King of Canada. He is also king of something like 14 other sovereign countries. King Charles has one meaningful job, that is to appoint a Governor General recommended by the Prime Minister. The Governor General has one meaningful job, that is to appoint a Prime Minister who can maintain support of the House.
Back in the day, everything that was imported into Canada was dutied (taxed? tariffed?). First there was the manufacturers tax, 13.5%. Then add on “standard custom import duties” and “provincial sales tax”. The items brought in had to be “Canadianized”, by paying duties….Their words at the time, not mine.
That’s why if the car makers wanted to sell a car in Canada duty free, they had to build a car in Canada, didn’t have to be the same car, the one built here could be exported, but it was still a sell/build ratio of 1:1.
That’s also why Canada also used to build farm tractors, school buses, household appliances, pretty much everything, build it here, or pay import duties to sell it here.
Yes, we paid sometimes much more for the same items sold in America, but we still had the jobs that go with a prosperous economy.
Don’t let KM know.
How DARE Trump insist we play … fair. As in fair trade. We do what you do.
Trump is always bitching about how unfairly the US is being treated. Alright, how is Canada treating the US unfairly?
Supply management for one. That’s why Canadians “enjoy” paying double to triple what US citizens pay for dairy products.
Canada’s dairy supply management is small potatoes. It pales in comparison to US tariffs on Canadian lumber that have been going on for deacades, and never mind tariffs on steel, aluminum, and copper.
But that’s the US these days. Find some minor issue with Canada, and use that as an excuse to hit us with massive duties.
Look at Doug Ford. He’s not just unfair, he’s downright homely!
Wobbly Canoe is the sleaziest, woke Politician in Canada, with his permanent cocaine smirk and stupid man bun.
Rob Canoe is mellowing a bit. He’s got a serious case of TDS but he didn’t slander Trump this time by calling him a rapist again.
