  5. When you can make a promise to get elected that you break and won’t be held accountable, you can say anything you want.
    No need to even have the intention of being honest with voters, deplorable hicks they be, not genuflecting to their fake fixes.
    They clearly don’t believe their own press clippings, which they gleefully embrace from their seaside villas and gated enclaves.
    There are enough beautiful people in NY, LA and San Fran to carry the day for the neo-regents. Except they aren’t.
    That’s Trump’s fault, or the voters, or the EC, even Comey, or perhaps cosmic rays, but never them or their selfish ambitions.
    With emotion their only weapon, all goes to their whim, now given over to the Squad ignoramuses and their green raw deal.

  6. Biden’s number one characteristic is his vanity.

    It explains pretty-much everything about his actions including this hazardous-to-his-health run for POTUS.

    But vanity is not a strong driver and a couple more health scares and a continuing negative trend in popularity and he might not be in the race for Iowa.

    The real question marks at this point is how long will the black Dems monolithically be in his camp. And if they do (monolithically) break from him who do they move to?

    Warren literally is polling less than 1% with blacks. Sanders isn’t much better. Is the tough-on-crime, out of touch with the blue collars Harris the one? And I doubt blacks are switching to a gay married man.

    So with Biden gone and the options bleak for blacks will their turn out levels be even worse than they were for HRC? Is it an opportunity for trump to close the deal with them?

    1. Not sure if you have seen recent photos of her – I doubt she’s running.

      But – if the convention is contested – that it looks like it’s going to a second ballot where super (establishment) delegates will be allowed to vote and the rest of the delegates are kind of released to vote wherever they want maybe she rises from the ashes.

      1. Clearly she’s not well, I’ve seen her in the mauve tent in recent photos here at SDA, though no video of her walking or speaking (not wanting to see this really). Is it possible she sees an 18 months campaign as far too long with her ragged health? and knowing that more exposure doesn’t really play well in her favor.

        My thoughts are that she may do this “for America” – “for the world” …

        She has until mid January 2020 to make the first primary. I looked for a hard date and it doesn’t seem to be a set date whereby it’s too late for her.

          Americans have a “write-in” slot on their presidential ballots. They can write in any name they want.
          As a last ditch, any genuine qualified American can be president if enough people write in the same name.

    So my point is politicians and gang greens don’t need to interfere. Birth rates are already declining.

    Now the population of the world will peak at just over 9 billion since we have not yet reached the steady population birth rate of 2.1.

  12. The numbers are bogus. The population went from 2.5 billion in 1945 to almost 8 billion today. The numbers that matter are not western birth rates it is Islamic birth rates, indian birth rates, Chinese birth rates and you have no idea just how high they are.

            I said the BIRTH RATE is declining. You said that was “bogus”.

            You have provided no evidence that birth rates are not declining.

            It is possible for birth rates to decline, yet have a population increase.

            Even if the birth rate drops below the replacement rate of 2.1 births per woman, the population will still increase for a time. Then if the birth rate stays below 2.1, the population declines.

    To illustrate a point of cognitive discord with Dems and Leftists in general, it needs to be highlighted that being for open borders and throwing wide the gates to immigration are at cross purposes with the notion that population reduction is necessary due to 1st world CO2 generation. Leave these 3rd world migrants where they are. Don’t bring them here to use ever increasing amounts of energy.

Let’s go back to the days before combustion engines provided transportation, when the streets of our cities were filled with horse manure (sort of like the sidewalks of San Francisco with human and dog manure, except that I suspect that San Franciscans like that). It was just great – you could pick up communicable diseases, which you can’t from automobile exhaust. And the smell is pretty wonderful, too.

    2. We can’t go back to horses; once they get rid of reliable power and get us out of cars, and shut down public transport, you won’t be able to go any place you can’t walk to.

      Do you have the tool to clip a horse’s teeth?

      Do you know how to make a horseshoe?

      The infrastructure is just gone. And without diesel Macks to bring the lumber, no one is rebuilding it. How many people still have an operable wind powered well pump, as your city water ain’t coming anymore without reliable power.

      1. One of the reasons I desperately want to escape CA and find 30-40 acres in the country, is so I can finish my life living a “rogue” existence. In my remote country property, I will:

        – Own and use my cache of firearms, in defiance of the mandatory “gun surrender”
        – Raise my own cattle, sheep, chickens and all forms of “banned meat”
        – create a massive underground storage of diesel and petrol.
        – create a diesel backup generator for the coming brownouts and blackouts
        – warehouse my favorite automobiles and diesel-guzzling farm equipment
        – grow my own personal use crops
        – create a “root cellar” of food for the coming eco-famine
        – build whatever gawdammned house I desire, without busybody neighbors, and their officious government bureaucrats have to say.
        – Eat whatever I want, whenever I want
        – Drink through a plastic straw whenever and wherever I want
        – Never see a homeless encampment or street toilet ever again.
        – Chase any eco-zealots, or EPA officials off my property … by force, if necessary
        – Hunt and fish – responsibly

      In London then, they just pushed the horse manure to the side during the day. They had to haul away the horse manure piled two yards high along the sidewalk every night. But I bet if one walks among that stuff every day, he gets used to the odor and hardly notices it.

  16. I love how all the “old guys and gals” who are running are in their late 60’s and late 70’s. They already have lived a good full life.
    When I looked at the UN graph linked above, it is only the countries in Africa which are still producing at a terrific rate – average family size is 4.8 children – so really 5 children.
    I have always said that once a woman has some schooling, even only reading, writing and basic arithmetic, they stop having large families. Once the children are in school, the mothers can then start working outside of the home, running small businesses or working in a factory to help with the family income. Education for women over the last 60 years has helped reduce the birthrates in the rest of the world.

  17. The mere fact that this pre-scripted “eco-Town Hall” was part of a US Presidential campaign, and broadcast widely reveals that we’ve already LOST our society to the EXTREMIST looney left! The ABSURDITY of the questions (comments really) and the ABSURDITY of the candidates answers indicates that the American people are so science-illiterate that they’ll believe anything. This entire “TownHall” made-for-TV infomercial for the Green New Deal in its many alternate manifestations … should have been dissected and dismissed in its entirety by a SANE culture.

    Pete Butifudgepacker spoke of the POISON we are spewing into God’s pristine air … and how we should fall on our knees (he’s got the knee pads) and pray for Green New Deal “salvation”. So now … Co2 is “poison”. We are DOOMED if this IDIOTIC crap goes unchallenged … unmocked! Confusing Co2 with pollution is like confusing LEGAL immigration, with illegal crossing of our borders. The LEFT use confusion as their stock and trade.

    Just listening to these numbskull Dim. Candidates talk about destroying our energy infrastructure almost caused me to burst a blood vessel in BOTH my eyes … which, of course, would have been “caused” by global warming … of my blood … boiling my blood!

    1. The EPA under Obama did declare CO2 a pollutant. I have not heard that had been changed.
      So politically he is correct, though not technically.

      1. The “Endangerment” ruling by the EPA was made in the dark of night using highly flawed “science” that was hidden from public scrutiny. Literally, none of their “science” was shown and subjected to critical examination. The Trump Admin. needs to reopen the Endangerment Finding … and overturn it on merit. On critical, unbiased, examination.

        Note: there still is NO smoking gun, direct evidence, that increased Co2 … 0.04 of our atmosphere is warming the planet. No scientific PROOF. Hint: a bell jar is NOT an accurate representation of our atmosphere … not even close.

  18. Imho, Elizabeth Warren is the presumptive favourite; or should be. So the longer Biden hangs around the better.
    Her schtick is pure progressive gold; blame big bad government induced poverty creation on racism, hurting blacks most.
    Never mind those disadvantaged blacks reside mainly in DeMarxist enclaves where they silently suffer their fate.
    Climate change is racist, despite utterly regressive carbon taxes and regulation; add to that state sanctioned homelessness.
    Border security is racist, not denied funding. Elizabeth knows where the hobgoblins of racism and “unfairness” reside.
    If we get off fossils fuels within ten years, as she promises, utopia will break out because racism will end. Yeah.
    It is well within the ignorance levels and political capability of American voters to fall for this; things are getting interesting.
    The fact that yours truly and many others think she’s a nasty, blithering idiot is of no consequence over at CNN.
    If she can get them power, the Dems and their family members in the media, then she is their brilliant saviour.
