    1. As long as Alberta remains a part of Canada, no pipeline will be built. Nothing to do with Trudeau. Doesn’t matter who’s in charge. It is no longer possible to build anything in Canada. If you can find one member of a “disadvantaged” group, anywhere in the world, to voice a complaint, a Canadian judge will stop it.

          1. Parliament already has the authority but won’t use it. They prefer to let their corrupt Liberal courts take the heat.

    2. Andy 2% will not build any either; he’s too afraid of the CBC, globa and mail and liberal judges.

  1. Since our courts have become more political than Parliament, when can we start electing judges? Maybe that is something Max could take up.

  2. Well if Alberta goes UDI there is no more Canadian Courts to deal with, it automatically kicks them out of the process. After these 6 they will have another 6-8 or 10. Because the SCOC is corrupted. If you need a pipeline Canada already signed those UN treaty’s on Landlocked countries they would have to give access to tidewater. Otherwise shut down all rail and road traffic through Alberta, shut down BC gas pipelines crossing into Alberta, and shut off all pipelines flowing to BC. Play hardball. Send an envoy to Washington publicly and announce we would like to discuss becoming a state even if we do not do that, but this raises the issues Internationally. Go UDI Alberta.

      1. There’s the trouble of that international border. Meaning, an act of Congress would be required.

  3. Not giving up, the environmental groups that were rejected are now considering going to the supreme court.

    1. There will never be a physical civil war in Canada. those who fought and died for our freedom will never again exist in this sad excuse for a country. a people who are like minded and are morally responsible no longer exist in this third world banana rama country called Canada. this place is a shadow of that which I grew up in. do not tell me I am wrong because I am rarely wrong when it comes to embracing freedom. I always look for someone who will stand up and scream at the pc fools and language police in this idiotic place. I seem to be alone. if you are not willing to destroy your enemy your enemy will destroy you.

      1. A civil war need not involve bullets. I can hardly call legislation specifically designed to prevent Alberta from building pipelines an olive branch.

      2. In order for Free Men and Women to prevail, the Canadians will have to seek inward and find that instinctual core of Hardiness and Fortitude of Canadian Forebears. The days of coddling and hand holding will then be over. They will have to find their inner warrior mindset. The mindset that my pioneer ancestors had when they arrived in Alberta in 1905 and homesteaded a 1/2 section. And are now lying in Pioneer cemeteries. Canadian history is full of Rebellions, so the latent potential is there.

    1. British Columbia, other than the Peace Country doesn’t have treaties. The government owned the land by conquest until 20 or 30 years ago when some piece of shit judge decided the Indians still owned it despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

          1. The last time when a proper right-wing party that formed the provincial government in B. C. was when the Socreds were in charge. Unfortunately, the party shot itself in the foot and it sank out of sight without a trace.

          2. Are you JKing me? Gordon C headed the most right of center government in NA at the time. That party has drifted left but I’ve heard they kinda sorta reversed that. The Liberals of BC are not like their federal counterparts.

    2. And let me add a HINT: to the Indigenous tribesfolk … The Tides Foundation doesn’t give two white man’s shits about you. The Tides Foundation is USING “your” lands as surely as any other white men. They are TAKING your land away from you. Just wait till these same palefaces tell you what wildlife you can and cannot harvest on your own lands. The atides Foundation is treating you like cigar store Indians … wooden novelties for their own amusement.

  4. Well thank goodness we have Canada on our side or Alberta wouldn’t get any pipelines built.

What a pathetic bunch of victims we are. Countless billions of dollars taken from us over generations and now we can’t even get a simple pipeline twinned. And we don’t have the balls to say “enough” of this? Unbelievable! We deserve every thumb that gets jabbed in our eye and every kick to the groin.

Kenney should be calling for a referendum question on separation to be put on the ballots this fall (although I know he has no interest in it). That’s about 30 years too long we’ve been putting up with this bullshite and it just keeps getting worse.

  5. Hey Alberta everybody east of Winnipeg is laughing at you and you’re going to do squat except maybe have a tantrum or fart or blame Juthtin and Jerry and Katie oh my.

  6. Cor Wot a surprise!

Almost as surprising as the EU servants in the British parliament overthrowing the democrat will of the people. I bet the EU paymasters are busy these days, so many titles, awards and positions to distribute.

  7. I don’t think Alberta is going anywhere.

I was there decades ago when Albertans, including myself, were just as sick and tired of being repeatedly f**ked over by the east. Then came the Reform Party with grand promises of grass-roots policies and political power for the west. But, in the end, we were manipulated and bamboozled into injecting all that energy and enthusiasm into reinvigorating a tired, useless old eastern Conservative Party. We were suckers…. how sickening to ponder that in 2019 we have the lib-lite Andrew Scheer led CPC as pretty much a direct result of the Reform Party’s progression.

Anyways, this is a different Alberta, now. It is infected to it’s roots with liberal progressive-ism, just like the rest of the free world. Separating does not erase this. Hell, Edmonton was a libtard stronghold even decades ago and conservative Calgarians don’t even have enough political weight to get rid of their anti-western Muslim mayor.

A couple of olive branches from the east, and too many ‘squishies’ will gladly accept a somewhat known future as markedly preferable to a wildly unpredictable one. That is simply human nature.

Don’t get me wrong here, I would love to see Albertans(including 1/2 my family) succeed in achieving independence and giving the finger to the east, I just don’t see it realistically happening.

    1. Sadly CO, I have to completely agree with everything you said. Like you, I was pretty hopeful for the Reform Party and was a member from their inception.

I have to admit that being in my later years without any children, I could really give two figs about the future of this confederation. It would be nice to see Alberta separate, but it won’t happen, and as you say…it would likely just be another liberal shitehole sooner or later.

Now, I am mostly content to bide my time in relative comfort from a life of effort and watch the place crumble around me. 🙂

    2. “Calgarians don’t even have enough political weight to get rid of their anti-western Muslim mayor”

Muslims vote as a block. The only way to defeat Nenshi is to have one single non-Muslim opponent running against him.
Vote splitting is what got Nenshi elected in the first place.

    3. “their anti-western Muslim mayor.”

The fact that you’d say something so idiotic and that this kind of sentiment is getting flushed down history’s toilet is reason to cheer. You lose not because your opponent deserves to win but because you deserve to lose.

      “Muslims vote as a block.”

      Citation needed.

      1. I’m citing my once-upon-a-time Muslim barber. He lives in Calgary and told me so. His father and brothers are barbers too.
His uncle is a cobbler. Big family, lots of votes.

    4. I do not disagree with you whatsoever. Separation should have happened in ’81. The NEP was a harbinger of things to come…and voila, wouldnt ya know it..?? Along comes UN led PO Filth # 2 named Trudeau.
Twice bonned.? I’m sick of this Fkn BS country.

That Alberta is lost is now an almost foregone Conclusion.
      Very Sad to say.

      1. We are being sold to China !!!!!
Time for Albertans to bone up on their French, because that is the language of your MASTERS !!!
The brain drain will continue, as anyone with marketable skills will be leaving the country for capitalist countries where starvation is NOT on the menu. I hope the rest of Canaduh doesn’t come to regret this, but I can guarantee they WILL come to regret selling us out.

  8. The Chinese don’t “consult” their subject nationalities on whether something should get built. They haul them off to re-education camps and replace them with Chinese.

And they get stuff built. Quickly.

In China the pipeline would have been built long ago, in a matter of months, no environmental or “indigenous” consultation needed.

Why do you think Chairman Xi detests Trudeau so much? Xi is probably as genuinely appalled as any Albertan at his puppet’s inability to deliver on the pipeline, much less any of the other promises China was made for their support of the Liberal party in 2015.

    1. The Chinese don’t “consult” their subject nationalities on whether something should get built. They haul them off to re-education camps and replace them with Chinese.

Which is likely why Prinz Dummkopf admires that country so much.

    1. Separation is a Fwench thing. Myself give me Independence. UDI like the 13 Colonies did in the USA. Go UDI Alberta, use the sledge hammer.

    1. Here’s some fairness for you…
Funny how a huge new Quebec cement plant was given the go-ahead by the Federal Liberals last year, no fuss and almost no questions asked. It will be the single largest carbon emmissions source east of Lloydminster, Sask.

      1. Chris, in Kingston Ontario a Chinese baby food/dairy plant is almost complete. It is the largest such facility that I have seen anywhere. There was no notice on the news about it and until the construction started no one knew what was being built. As you say, no muss, no fuss, no questions.

  9. One thing Turdeau could have done to help the pipeline along was to have taken the license granted, turned it into an act of Parliament subject to no other law, declared it in the national interest, necessary for peace, order, and good government, and made it notwithstanding the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

    1. There are probably a whole pantload of things to move the pipeline along, he COULD have done. But how many of them did he do? ZERO
He didn’t want the pipeline to move ahead, as he stated over and over again, during his campaign. So, from that factoid, I would deduce that his voters did not want a pipeline, either. Good old Frank Lego even told us as much.

So, we should connect the dots and think for ourselves. I know what conclusions I draw from these facts.

  10. I think I know whuts going on here.
certain long standing ottawa mandarins are getting the snc lavalin ducks in a row sose they get the biggest pc of the pipeline pie.

  11. “Muslims vote as a block. ”

Maybe, Oz. But city people tend to be dependent and servile, so they vote for politicians who promise to wipe their arses and supply the toilet paper. And I don’t think religion – or the lack of it – has much to do with that.

    1. “But city people tend to be dependent and servile”
      Yes.

“I don’t think religion – or the lack of it – has much to do with that.”
Calgary has a Muslim Mayor, the only large Canadian city that does.
Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary, depends on his the Muslim voting block.

Palestinian thugs attacked a family of Calgary Jews in front of city hall and police did nothing. No arrests despite the attack being recorded on camera. So Ezra Levant held a rally.
      https://calgaryherald.com/news/local-news/hundreds-rally-in-support-of-israel-at-city-hall
Nenshi’s response was underwhelming. Ezra finally did get action with this rally(wife and I drove in from Airdrie to attend)
No violence at rally. Mostly oldsters like us, except for younger Jews. Large police presence, main Cop Shop is a couple blocks away.
Nehsi knows which side of his bread the butter is on.

      1. “Nenshi, Mayor of Calgary, depends on his the Muslim voting block.”

You keep saying this. You don’t demonstrate it.

  12. I read all of the articles regarding this decision in the NP this morning and came to the conclusion that it was not entirely the judge’s fault. The FNs came fully prepared and the government lawyers offered nothing, not a word. Proving that Trudeau is only ragging the puck on TMX until after the election. Write your Liberal MP if you have one. I am.

  13. “The FNs came fully prepared and the government lawyers offered nothing, not a word.” The FN’s lawyers are the Government Lawyers, one and the same…The SCOC created FN hell in Canada by making Royal Declarations. The Court is acting like a Metis dictator.

How did the SCOC get the RIGHT to make Royal Declarations.….Where in the Canadian Constitution does The Parliament lose the right of sovereignty. Declare all Royal Declarations by the SCOC to be an illegal usurping of a Democracy….
