Most “trans men” and “trans women” asked whether they would date their opposite “trans gender” will give the correct answer, but many, perhaps most, will be lying.
But the entire idea behind pride parades is that you must be forced to watch and approve. Without your forced approval of their actions, they’re just a bunch of kooks. And they don’t like to be thought of that way.
Reminds me of the old Bob Hope joke when California decriminalized homosexuality.

Is it any wonder that the discipline of psychology is viewed with a jaundiced eye? The path of least resistance is generally the path of failure.
Proving that you have to be insane to seek help from a psychologist.

The biggest difference is in the pelvic structure. Women’s are wide to accommodate child bearing, but not good for running or heavy lifting.
I remember at work during lunch time, when most everyone went out to lunch, these two women found me and asked me to put the Sparkletts jug into the receptacle. Now these women towered over me, but had to ask a man, even li’l ole me, to do that. Luckily I had lifted weights in my youth, and managed to do it without incident (yes, it was a matter of pride). But as you noted, most of it was due to the difference in my shoulders and other skeletal and muscular structures.

I can think of one reason …
87% of cis-gender (heterosexuals) would not date a trans person. That leaves 13% who would, an astonishingly high number. That 13% probably makes available 1000 people for every trans person around. So what is the problem?
13% are virtue signalling I’d say. When faced with a so called feminine penis or worse an dickectimy I think they’d have second thoughts.

Hard to say how many are virtue signaling, exceptionally unattractive lesbian cat ladies and their male equivalents aka incels are bound to be overrepresented within those 13%.

The dating and mating game is discriminatory. People are looking for certain traits and exclude the majority of people they meet. The list of desirable traits includes intelligence, looks, humor, earning potential, physical fitness, good hygiene, work ethic, trustworthiness, mental stability, political views and, for many people, a family with children. Transpeople are going to have a helluva time competing in the dating game because they fail to meet many of these standards just like a very ugly or very fat “cis” person, for example.

I read of one high school class survey in which the class was asked what was the most important trait in somebody they’d consider marrying. They all answered “intelligence”.
Then they were handed-out a page with pictures of people, and asked to check-off the ‘intelligent’ ones. The males all checked-off the best-looking females; can’t remember specifically what the females checked-off but I suspect it was the buffest studs.
Yes, men consistently prefer attractive, fit young women. Although a less attractive but very rich heiress is likely a close second.
Women have more variability. For instance : physically attractive, reasonably attractive plus wealth and/or status. Reasonably attractive and financially viable plus funny, very intelligent and/or charming, etc. Some women like bad boys or have unresolved daddy issues, Far more acceptable combinations. Far more complicated calculations.
But, straight women will always want a biological, anatomically correct man and lesbian women want a biological, anatomically correct woman…that won’t change much, if at all.

People looking for mates look for a person who reflects themselves. A mate with a value system that mirrors themselves. The core values have to be similar in order to respect one another.
For example a person who values honesty forthrightness and courage wont respect a dishonest coward.
The color of hair, height or looks etc are optional values. Not a deal breaker.
Just because there’s a circus in town doesn’t mean we all want to have a part in the acts.
In fact, I suspect these same psychologists who are confused why people exclude transgender people as dating prospects would have no trouble explaining why people exclude very fat, very ugly, very poor, chronically unemployed people. In other words, the psychologists are only pretending they don’t understand.
A bodybuilder was discussing on you tube why transwomen athletes have an unfair physical advantage and why woke academics and politicians refuse to acknowledge the obvious. He referred to it as :

The only people that can’t get their head about it is the Psychologists.
Is it because they pretend that life is not really what it is unless they decide it to be so?
This study says a whole lot more about the junk science of psychology than it does about anybody’s relational preferences.
Because even in bog-standard old-fashioned boy-meets-girl dating, we tend to be fairly careful and discriminating about how much of the other person’s baggage we’re willing to take on.
Why chance dating someone when their personal instability is already openly manifested?

The real number would be closer to 99.5%. A lot of respondents obviously felt pressured to answer politically correctly, but in actuality are just as averse to the idea as the majority.
And those psychologists aren’t puzzled at all, they’re just pressured by political correctness too, and too cowardly to admit it.
When the truth is politically incorrect, you tend to get a lot of correct answers that aren’t true.
Do these idiot psychologists not consider the role of pheromones in attraction? A scalpel applied to the crotch and hormone treatment is not going to change the pheromone profiles and thus the sending of confusing signals to potential partners. That transsexual may look the part at a distance but close up you will not get the right vibes (unless you are drunk). Nature is hard to fool.
