When The FBI Does It, That Means That It’s Not Illegal

Maybe they were talking about a different “insurance policy” …

The Department of Justice lost its latest battle with Congress Thursday when it allowed House Intelligence Committee members to view classified documents about a top-secret intelligence source that was part of the FBI’s investigation of the Trump campaign. Even without official confirmation of that source’s name, the news so far holds some stunning implications.

I don’t think the FBI is being straight. I’m speculating, of course, but I think it’s going to turn out that they were spying on Trump from surprisingly early on, and that they didn’t expect him to win, and that when he did win, the Russian “collusion” thing was hyped up as a smokescreen.

    1. One interesting comment at the above link – Stefan Halper and BJ Clinton were at Oxford at the same time. Curious no?

    2. I thought the mole was going to be Carter Page, the subject of the FISA Warrant. It would make as much sense as any of this entire FBI fiasco. Why not plant a paid FBI informant in the Trump for President Campaign, and then finger your own paid informant as the Russian Spy?

The FBI started a FISA Warrant to track Carter Page as a potential Russian Spy, and just coincidentally wiretap and read all the texts and emails of everyone in the entire Trump Campaign. It would be only fitting for this farce of an investigation if the FBI said their own man was the potential spy. Their FISA warranted surveillance gave them access to everyone in the campaign, and a lot of donors and news media under the “two hops” rule. Here is an explanation,

      1. Rd, IMHO that scenario is repeated in every investigation…They wire tap their own undercover agents without Warrants… That means that they can’t use those investigative recordings in Court proceedings…. The Obama slime used those raw recording by Illegal unmasking. Just because they recorded someone drunk & puffing does not make that information Truth & a fact…

Lots of undercover FBI & CiA agents in every American Corporation….Suck it up…

  1. What? the clintons couldn’t have Trump killed after the election, so this would be the next best thing, if they succeeded.

    1. … sad to say … but I wouldn’t yet take that off the table. If the Deep state co-conspirators were savvy enough to “purchase” an insurance policy … then they were savvy enough to cover their insurance policy in the re-insurance marketplace.

  2. I am convinced that what we see here is not a democrat vs republican battle but rather a globalist vs nationalist battle. Trump was recruited by the nationalist forces and as such was a target of the globalists long before the campaign started with globalists across the globe doing their best to defeat Trump. Nothing personal Donald but the globalists simply want to remain in control of the US government like they are in control of the European, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand etc governments. The nationalists win in the US would pose an existential threat to the globalist agenda. Of course the globalist candidate decided to cheat her way into the white house and forgot to campaign which cost her the election and so the globalists fell back to plan B which was never to remove Trump but rather to make him so ineffective he would turn to the globalist side for help. Step one discredit Trump with a Mueller probe. However the globalists got played. They didn’t realize the nationalists were onto their game and had turned Mueller into their agent. Mueller simply provided cover for the nationalist forces to begin draining the globalist swamp. Each day we are seeing people higher up the food chain being exposed as globalist agents even as the nationalists are making major strides on the international scene completely disrupting the globalist money train. First Saudi Arabia, then North Korea/China now Iran. Soon to follow will be the EU, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

    1. Joe, perhaps the struggle is between rugged individualism and preening collectivism – what I believe.

Collectivism always reverts to power which the concentration of is abhorrent to individualists.

Nationalism is fuel for collectivism, with a few individualistic enclaves elsewhere, just as radicalized btw.

Km’s Stalinism is statism pure, the natural end to collectivism, as sure as a supernova. What is happening in the US is akin to his brand of fascism. Democrats freaking out about torture which they previously supported or criticizing Trump for negotiating with Kim, which again Bill Clinton et al going forward were quite happy with. This hypocrisy demonstrates issues don’t matter with DeMarxists, and reveals them as the alt-left power hungry lunatics they are.

On this issue, Strassel, a fine journalist imho, is only speculating and says so, but then again a year ago we were only speculating about illegal surveillance of the Trump team. Let me speculate further; if Comey and mentor Mueller did have a mole, they lose twice.

First, the have found zilch, nothing, nada zero. Second, where is their legal basis for this. What warrant was that? Mueller is going down in flames anyway, soon to retire to write his impeach Trump findings, lots of bad stuff coming from the FBI IG for DeMarxists, who will have to double down on their impervious imperialism and most likely have to call out the summer shock troops to save voters from the results of elections – again.

Such a sad spectacle. I still hold out for perp walks to cleanse and heal the insulted American body politic.

    2. This is in reply to Joe. Somehow it isn’t listed this way. In terms of political philosophy, of course I agree that Trump defeated the globalists in the person not only of Hillary, but most of the Republican candidates. However, I strongly disagree that there are “nationalists forces” who recruited Trump, turned Mueller into a nationalist agent (I don’t believe that one bit), and are draining the swamp. This makes it sound like Trump is beholden to these “nationalist forces.” That is utter nonsense. The best thing about Trump as an outsider is that he is beholden to no one except us deplorables who elected him. That is why he can say what he wants, and do what he wants. If you are so convinced about these “nationalist forces”, name some of the most prominent people in them.

      1. I pretty much agree with joe and Old Bruin. I can’t imagine any opposition political party (in a democratic western nation) putting this much effort and as a consequence risking so much to destroy a nations leader and for all practical purposes overthrow an elected government unless there was a lot more to lose. This was the globalists/leftists moment in American history to destroy what has been the most powerful and most free nation on earth. Trump stepped up, knowingly or not, and disrupted the plan which would probably have been irreversable if Clinton had gotten her eight years in power. The globalist/leftist agenda is starting to become obvious, we can only hope that the electrate in democratic nations can learn in time that the freedoms they have can easily be lost. What we’re now seeing in all levels of the educational system is further proof how big a threat we are facing, a couple of generations have already been indoctrinated as the next foot soldiers of the left.

        1. Well said a prairie guy, and I agree totally with your comment. With Hillary the Frankfurt School Globalists would have taken control of the US as they have in Canada and most of Europe. Recall Trudeau saying on the eve of his election that Canada was now a post-national state. Our educational system is an extension of the Frankfurt School Globalists and meant to turn out Eloi.

      2. Trump is not carrying this load all on his own. He has powerful allies working the back channels. I know it is nice to have the lone good guy defeat evil but that is not how it is done. It takes an army.

    3. All true, let the games begin!

Except these unelected types who believe in ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT will always have a tug of war as to WHERE the center of their universe will be. Permanently in Europe? I wonder?

It sounds like repeat business… yes we’ll create two places to govern from, rather dictate from, and we’ll alternate the sessions between the two. That way we can control things better, we can see what’s going on, we can give patronage to the surrounding countryside. We, that way, won’t be so bored, and get trips out of it, all at taxpayers expense of course. We will raise taxes too!

The creation of Upper and Lower Canada, this is us, and we’re part of the the franchise, now gone global. Does sound like a familiar book title from a few years ago: THINK BIG.

  3. “And it even began spinning that daddy of all superspook arguments—that revealing any detail about this particular asset could result in “loss of human lives.””

No kidding. Anything that has to do with exposing a Clinton crime has fatal consequences.

  4. No word on the update to Strassel’s “journalism”?

    “Correction
The FBI briefed House Intelligence Committee members about a top-secret intelligence source but did not allow them to see documents. An earlier version of this article misstated this.”

IOW: this is nothing. It’s a nothing column with nothing sources.
