A most fascinating and informative 20-minute podcast on the history of internal conflict in America can be heard here. Historical events are presented in a somewhat different way than you’ve likely heard before. For example,the Revolutionary War of Independence is described as what is really the first civil war in the land mass that eventually became America. Then came, what we call today, the American Civil War but at the time it wasn’t exactly thought of that way. Now, in the second decade of the 21st Century, are we witnesses to the early stages of what future historians will call the 3rd U.S. Civil War?

Some of us have thought that a 3rd US Civil War has been waging for quite some time now. The difference between this one and the previous two is that, like frogs being boiled slowly, most people will not realize that one is being waged until they have lost all their freedoms. This one had no Battle of Bunker Hill or Battle of Fort Sumter, nor a storming of the Winter Palace, but a slow insidious Saul Alinsky rules for radicals.
Not comment about the podcast, but I honestly don’t remember reading or hearing the words
‘tribal’ or ‘tribe’ to describe American politics until, say, about three years ago.
Now it’s everywhere.
Yes, it’s an undeclared war at this time, one being fought by the slow creep of socialism at all governance levels. There is likely to be an actual physical war, but that will be down the road, when the socialists pretty much have all control, and seek to ban all guns. That’s when TSHTF and a real war breaks out. Unfortunately, it will be the true patriots fighting government authorities, in what will likely be a losing battle to the forces of the USSA.

“They will be fighting for domination.” Uh no. They will be ordering others to fight. And hiding behind armed guards. So one possible tactic would be to cdissaude the guards from do that job.
Then again 2 whole branches of the US gov amounts to 535 + 9 bodies. And about 1/4 of that would guarantee a change. Collateral damage would still be enormous but less than Gettysburg or an Antietam.

In the old days, red meant Dem and blue was Republican. In the 80’s, the Dems wanted to shake the Socialist stain and CBS and ABC started to switch the colors. Eventually NBC capitulated and it’s been the current color scheme since. I seem to recall Dan Rather being big on making the switch.
Will there actually be a 3rd civil war in the USA? Maybe but I think it will be more of a race war than a civil war. I say that because the left are experts at exploiting the blacks, { been doing it for a hundred years } and now they are recruiting the DACA crowd and other associated non documented wannabees. The mainstream media is on board with this program as are the so called educators and university professors.
Given that the lefties/socialists already control the media,and the education system all they require now is to remove the right of citizens to own fire arms. When the population can no longer defend themselves against an aggressor dictatorship is inevitable.
It may appear to be a race war initially, but the radical Alinskyite left be will controlling the gullible and using them as cannon fodder. Just like the Bolsheviks infiltrated the Russian military during the war and agitated the troops to rebel. There were only a few thousand Bolsheviks and they pulled it off because they were the more ruthless, had no scruples about killing, and had a message that resonated with the workers and peasants.
If it comes to a civil war one side will be fighting for freedom, the other for the collective.
I agree there is no way that any left wing journalist, high school teacher or university professor will ever take up arms or endanger themselves for any cause. That sacrifice is to be made by others or as you described ” cannon fodder “. However that does not change the fact that the left will maximize their opportunity of using race to further their agenda.

I’m pretty well on record for saying that mankind is tribal by nature (we are). And all this globalist, universalist nonsense will just end in violence, death, and destruction. We do fine when our tribe isn’t being disrupted and imposed-upon by opposing tribes … or by globalist fools. How did school bussing work out? The suburbs were created to ESCAPE the ugly multi-culti urban stew. And now the suburbs have been invaded by a 2nd wave of urban escapees … who WE escaped from. So we are now fleeing to the sparsely populated RED States. It’s going to be really amusing to watch how the BLUE Elites and their imported underclass coexist. Prediction: They won’t. The BLUE Elites will retreat behind walled compounds until CA resembles Afghanistan with each home surrounded by a 10 ft tall concrete wall. The irony of Trump’s wall erected in miniature around every BLUE home … will be an irony so delicious … I’ll gain 20lb.
Trump’s election was the first maneuver in the 3rd civil war. The Republican Party had abandoned the ‘Reds’. So we found our own Washington-Lincoln-Trump to set us FREE! Our revolution is fully underway, and the opposition has broken every law, and mobilized the vast Federal bureaucracy against us. Oh yes … if you don’t believe the Civil War-3 hasn’t already started … then you simply aren’t listening and watching the FBI. The BLUES are thrashing like a goldfish spilled from its bowl. Their reaction to the (truly) RED President has been … all out WAR.
There won’t be just 2 factions. There will be dozens.
And just as the U.S. has been interfering in other nation’s civil wars since the middle 20th century, other nations will train, arm, and support various factions in a 3rd U.S. civil war, count on it.
Russia and the ChiComs aren’t going to let such a crisis go to waste and the intent will be to keep it going for as long as possible.
The emotional ones are grossly overrated.

My thoughts, (as an American)
1. As Dennis Prager always says, we are already in an undeclared Civil War. It’s just a cold war (for now).
2. I hope it doesn’t come to a hot war of course, but unfortunately it almost seems inevitable at this point, as the left is always on the March – continuously instigating, confrontational, belligerent, and will not be satiated until they impose communism on us all. They live for this aim. It consumes them. War is inevitable if current trend lines persist.
3. If it does become a hot war, the progz are clearly at a disadvantage, concentrated as they are within dense urban ares, with hardly any guns, and with no access to food, as we control all the farms. Also, hardly any progressives go to West Point, so they have no military training. This will be the shortest civil war in history.

In Russia, the Greens fought the Reds and Whites in the Saratov region. In Ukraine, it was a succession of Ukrainian independence movements, fighting the Reds, Whites, and the anarchist bands of Nestor Makhno and Grigoriev. Elsewhere on the periphery, national elements, such as Latvians, Uzbecks etc fought for independence.
I suspect that if the US would descend into a civil war the south-west would become a Latino enclave, the east and west coasts would become progressive bastions and the center would be conservative. All of these groupings could also hive off into radical and moderate contenders.
The south-west alone would have a half dozen separate Mexican drug cartels. The negros would have the Nation of Islam, the New Black Panthers, and who knows how many smaller religious cults.
Russia and the PRC would arm, train, and support a plethora radical groups with no aim to win, but aiming to bleed America white through unending civil strife.
People foolishly think in terms of the culturally/racially monolithic groups that used to live in the U.S. in the 18th and 19th centuries. These thinkers suffer from a impoverishment of the imagination and an inability to grasp the reality of the times we live in.
What we have is right authoritarians/communitarians vs left authoritarians/communitarians. God help us if these two ever stuck a ‘Non-Aggression Pact’ but I think it’s too late for that (then again, that is basically what happened in the most recent budget showdown-everyone got to spend all the money on everything). I am pretty scared because this is likely going to end the same way as Fascism vs Communism did: the far left wins or at least becomes a lot more significant.

Excellent points. There are certainly MORE than two Tribes in America. One thing we rarely hear about the increasing murder rates in Chicago is that it is not only black-on-Black murder but Mexican-on-Black murder. But that doesn’t fit the dominant white-on-Black racist narrative. Yeah, there will be dozens of factions dividing up in this Civil War … just as the troops in the last American Civil War were identified by their regional Company.
War is just destructive. It is even more destructive when you do it where you have to live.
War is brutal. It is even more brutal when it is a civil war and you have to live in the same place where the people you fight against propose to live in the same place as you do and are undermining your Tribe and it’s values. How can you be merciful to them when you capture them? How can you forgive them for wrecking your homeland?
As I’ve said earlier and many times before this thread, there are many nation states, powerful nation states, that will not simply sit back and let the United States of America have a Civil war in the 21st century in seclusion without adding fuel to the fire.
HELL, their wouldn’t even be a question of there being a 3rd American civil war if these evil foreign nations were not fomenting these traitors to bring about a conflict, a fracture of American civilization, in the first place.
