Yea, I am out there too, and I bet we all would be, but I also suspect that most of us will balk at letting CBC know who we are; therefore our “data will be deleted” thereby preserving the self-fulfilling situating of the answer that this thing will produce.
I’m out there in the periphery like you, Kate! A lone star, only skimming the cluster. (sheep) For a generation or more we’ve allowed the likes of panty waists like the CBC try to define us. Multiculturalism, as described by Mark Steyn affirms that believing in everything effectively means you believe in nothing and our core value is that we have no core value. It’s a different country since my grandparent’s generation fought in WWII.
When the country has no common goal, what are we as a nation to fight for should we be facing a full scale war again? The right for sissy university students to protest a free speech rally? The right for Ahmed to cut off the genitals of his daughter? The concept of “for King and Country” rings hollow in the ear of the millenials and Gen X-ers. I think you’re best off to teach your kids (or yourself) how to hunt, fish, trap and how to plant a garden. Could be very useful skills when socialism slams us into the eventual brick wall. At least you’ll have a fighting chance. I suppose firearms skills would come in handy as as well.
There’s days I’d like to cash out and move to a warm island (or remote lake) somewhere.
I’m right in your neighborhood. In any event, they’ll delete the anti-leftist crowd like they’ve done on CBC.Ca for years now!!
Well, looking in at that cloud…no worries about anyone sneaking around behind me….
I am my own galaxy, no clusters for me.
It’s stuff like this that just reinforces the CBC groupthink
I’m wayyy out there on the Alt.Canadian periphery … but where are all the HOCKEY FANS who should be out here with me? What the hell? Do they all LOVE Hockey … and … Climate change? Then they’re NOT my mates. The nearest “guy” to me was a … 58yo retired veteran … yeah … sounds aboot right.
Yes … of course I’m not really Canadian … but answered as I would … if … I were Canadian. But I did answer that Americans and Canadians are damn near equal in every way.
I took the survey I’m out in the fringe. It looks like I have a lot of company.
Surveys can be set up so that one will get whatever results one wants to have, which explains why I found many of the questions to be leading.
The CBC gets all that money from the federal government to come up with rubbish like this?
Only in the non-STEM world of CBC/Radio-Canada could anyone create such an image. 2 dimensions, no colours.
=====
In 3 dimensions (twistable), where would “you” be exactly Kate? And if there were colours?
======
In our own minds, we’re all Napoleons. Each one of us is a pixel, a colour.
Yet, according to the CBC, many of us congregate together.
Out on the outer belt as well. The nearest person to me was a 72 year old farmer from Saskatchewan.
LOVE to know what the three clusters are – and which one is the “Glo-BULL Warming is gonna killusol” nexus. I’m about as far from all three clusters as you can get, and still be on the graphic.
This is a Libeal Party poll, right?
I’m out in Kateville as well. I like it out here.
Surprisingly, the survey indicates I’m far from the most dense parts of the universe.
Happy to be out in the periphery away from the Borg and with the other folks here.
Come on, Americans, that thing isn’t closed to non-residents as far as I can tell! Help everyone troll the heck out of it!
I’m in the neighbourhood too! I slammed the CBC in my response, and expect to be deleted.
Canadian living in the USA. I am in the hinterlands of the CBC group think galaxy
They through me into intergalactic space
I like to sit with my back to the wall. Must have been a gunfighter in a former life.
We’re building a nice little lobe on the body politic.
You do realize that if that tumour gets too big and dense they will give it a dose of chemo and possibly excise it surgically, right?
It’s a shame what CBC thinks the norm is.
Heh, your agent is positively in with the quasars.
If you think you are an outlier now just wait until the the “nice hair” voters start answering this. When I finished answering the visualization showed 15 clusters and the average age shown in the majority of the clusters was in the mid to high 50s. The youngest cluster with a mean age of 44, was tagged as Socialist, Activist, Intellectual, and get this Privileged.
And no CBC you are not getting my personal information since you want to moderate my responses and have not guaranteed my anonymity which is standard practice for a survey of this type especially when a third party is involved.
Reading the responses, you can’t help other than think virtually all of it is the CeeBeeCee crowd.
Normal people as the SDA commentators and posters, with many and widely varied views on many and variety of subjects, can’t easily come to one point of view although they generally agree with the particular branch of thought as it were.
Who says being on the fringe is always a bad thing? Think about The Bell Curve and wonder if there’s any correlation.
Got 5 questions in, threw up in my mouth…then exited..
The answers I was looking for would put me outside the graph boundaries.
I must say though…is was a great way to spend $576,500 of “free” government money.
Now back to my bunker…
The fact that someone at headquarters has time to create this creepy quiz belies the usual complaints that CBC is underfunded. They have too much money and time on their hands.
Why exactly should the State broadcaster have a position on climate change?, or Can US relations? That they do is painfully obvious to anyone watching a news cast for 3 minutes. The only reason for a state broadcaster might be to objectively report news, but that laughable concept disappeared with hula hoops, if it ever existed.
Step 2 in this exercise would be to ID outliers so they could be contacted for “reeducation”. Sounds extreme, but there are people employed at CBC and other government branches who would willingly undertake such a program.
The problem is that most people who comment here will be outliers, and will not likely give there personal information to the CBC. I am, and I didn’t. The results might look completely different if the outliers gave their personal information. We might not be as far from the norm as this makes it look.
It’s the CBC, do you have to ask?
Show’s me on the far, far left, on the back of the head of the
old guy (yelling “get off my lawn” I suppose). Must be a mirror image.
“Sounds extreme, but there are people employed at CBC and other government branches who would willingly undertake such a program.”
Most of them would, Martin. They think trimming those outliers off and keeping just the thick clusters is what they are supposed to be doing.
Educate the masses, get them all moving in the same direction, cut the stragglers loose.
.
I did the survey and didn’t use any profanities … however, I did criticize the Trudeaus … so they have not allowed my survey up on site … You can’t say anything bad about the LIberals and their messiah.
After a few tries, it becomes apparent that the clusters are all SJWs who did not answer “10” to anything. So if you want to go on record as part of the herd, that’s the right answer.
Apparently boldly going where no man has gone before!
I think my little spermy thingy was still bouncing off the wall trying to reach the nearest light. Don’t think CBC will allow me to mingle with the other lights.
Paging Dr. Freud. Paging Dr. Freud … Dr. Freud to the CBC … stat!! LOL
C’mon all you cbc watchin’ listenin’SDA’ers – you play right into their hand.
Ignore them. Shun them. They are not worthy of attention.
While your comment is principally true, it is important to show that like the Global Warming consensus, there is no consensus agreeing with the CBC on what constitutes Canadian culture.
Often it is a thread title here at SDA, “Are we still part of this thing?” referring to the UN.(especially as it attacks Israel)
It should be noted that Israel is still a UN member for the precise reason of being present to defend itself and to show that those opposed to UN anti-Israel biased policy are not alone.
A mindset map of Canada, including any undocumented mindsets
I think we are rubbing shoulders.
I think we are rubbing shoulders.
What is this all about? I answered the questions and ended so far out on the left lower quadrant that there was no indication of anyone else near me. I was not asked for any subsequent personal information…just sat there accomplishing nothing. I finally gave it up after about 5 minutes. A total waste of time, mine and the CBCs.
I hope everybody else chose ‘Environmental Activist’ as their occupation.
there was a thingy last night about the search for a gigantic 9th planet in the kuiper belt, 5-10 billion kms distant.
thats where I live. LOL !!!
Glad to know I have neighbours who like their space, don’t give a quasar about where the mothership is or if I ever see it again.
When I look at the clusters all I can see is a lot of fuel for the black hole they will soon enough become. That giant ducking sound is both the black hole and the CBC, indistinguishable.
Hung up 5 times!
CBC is going to an on line streaming service.
No surprise – this shows that it will be beyond them.
It’s not much of a survey if they keep removing comments they don’t like.
Hey ! We’re neighbors.
Hi Neighbour!
