“Who Gets to Tell the Story?” That question was supposed to be the theme of a “press freedom” event this week at Columbia University, home to one of the world’s leading journalism schools. However, as first reported by the Columbia Spectator, the event was canceled after student journalists had the audacity of offering their own views on the coverage of the alleged Cornell rape case.
After the independent student newspaper The Sundial ran a column by deputy editor Nikos Mohammadi and writer Christina Ma criticizing the one-sided coverage of the allegations, the Columbia students went into a familiar groupthink, cancel mode. The students were shocked that Mohammadi and Ma took the invitation to “tell the story” literally by offering a different perspective on the still developing case.[…]
Alliance president Aum Desai has responded to the controversy with an explanation of the cancellation that is perfectly Orwellian: “We did so not in spite of, but because of our commitment to free expression.”

That is why certain Aum Desai went to school.
He can talk shit and be taken seriously.
Decline of learing (sic) in real time.
Why do I never know any of these idiots, the latest being Aum Desai, but also various Board of Education members, English police administrators….?! We wouldn’t stay friends for long, but at least I could tell him or her what I think!
“not in spite of but because of” ALL tells us how far the left has gone.
so there is that . . . . . .
Every day that goes by makes me considerably more cynical about a rape. A women doesn’t need weeks to decide whether or not she was raped. The more time that goes by makes it harder for a male to prove his innocence. Why have I never been on a jury?
