  1. “Cultures” don’t force anyone to do anything. Only people-often governments-do that. Regardless, wearing a Niqab is a right. Stop being a snowflake and deal with it.

Only a twisted leftist Christianity-hater would EXCUSE the oppression of brown-skinned women; by clothing, denial of education, arranged marriages before menses, and denial of opportunities (like driving an automobile) … in the name of “religious freedom”. It is morally equivalent (and repugnant) as excusing Priests fondling little boys … in the name of “religious freedom”.
    I am sure liberal “thinkers”, like the Capital-letter barnacle attached to SDA, have no problem with a religion that throws homosexuals off rooftops … but go apeshit over a religion that simply doesn’t “believe” in gay marriage. Their moral barometers are so far up their own asses, they can’t get a proper reading.

    I know you mean that we in the west have always thought of ourselves as being Christian.
    Sadly, the west is now post-Christian; we can’t fool ourselves anymore about that.

    My traditional CULTURE is empirically superior, it is Judeo/Christian based, and we only kill people if we have to in order to survive and protect our culture. And YES I am willing to pay a dime of taxes because it is strategically significant to protect the CULTURE that created this superior way of LIFE.

  12. Yes that is true, but this, the only world worth living in was build on three pillars: Greek philosophy, Roman law and Christianity. It is the only world worth defending, and we got nothing to apologize for. Anything we have done poorly, the competition would have done worse.

  16. Canada maybe turned 150 this year but it’s progressive leaders are acting like most of that history of selfless hard work and sacrifice to build a nation of free individuals doesn’t exist. Now our civic, provincial and federal leaders spend their time pandering to special interest groups so they may be rewarded with a chocolate bar for being good boys and girls for learning to ignore the obvious. The obvious in this case is that face coverings are oppressive to the individual and their identity. When not complying with religious/family decree can lead to someone’s mistreatment, torture or murder within the borders of our nation the support of our authorities for that aspect should disappear. Not doubled down. Lil’ Potato and his Sunny Ways band of buffoons are beyond disappointment with not a shred of principled moral guidance between them.

    Canada doesn’t force women to wear a niqab. If Kate’s remark is about another country that does, then it would seem rather moot.

  18. Sure it’s a “right”, but you are not necessarily entitled to get government services if you refuse to show your face. In Public spaces someone wearing a mask is intimidating to others. Public spaces are shared spaces.

    Don’t be disingenuous now. A MAN wearing a ski mask in a bank might well be intimidating but a Muslim WOMAN with a covered face certainly is not.

  20. Since the living body-bag indicates a non-person (female in Islam), I’ll go along and pretend they do not exist. That is, I refuse to interact with them at any level and in any situation, same as I would an Antifa thug. If failing to show one’s face is a right, so is my inability to see through fabric.
