Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Levant’s twitter is funny. Cruel, but funny.
Southey is the idiot that accused Alexander of personally killing the Syrian boy found on a beach. The one who’s father turned out to be a smuggler, and who’s aunt never actually tried to get him to Canada.
Good riddance, hope she never writes again.
I like Ezra’s humor.
Two more intellectual giants bite the dust. Both of these IG’s should offer their services to the progressive fan club at Huffpoop, they’d fit right in over there.
Anyone besides me ever notice how so many female columnists will use a 25 year old photo of themselves at the top of their column, then when you see an update pic, yesterday’s college sorta-cutie is today’s Wicked Witch of the MSM?
btw, what in hell is Kellie Leitch doing giving an interview to Huffpo?
http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2017/08/30/kellie-leitch-shut-out-of-andrew-scheers-conservative-shadow-cabinet_a_23191234/?utm_hp_ref=ca-homepage
This is great. So happy to see these two loons vanquished.
Leah Mclaren did not take it well- http://www.canadalandshow.com/globe-and-mail-axes-tabatha-southey-leah-mclaren/
And what the hell is Scheer doing shutting out Brad Trost and Kellie Leitch from his shadow cabinet? This guy (Scheer) is looking more and more like an awful choice for leader as time goes on.
Ezra proves that you can’t spell “schadenfreude” without F and U!
They should look up little Omar Khadr, he has lots of money, owes them plenty for their selfless support, and can bring “culture” into their lives.
Maybe Omar will even spring for plane tickets to Venezuela.
Omar might need a couple of new brides. I don’t think he will get virginity from either of these f’n hags.
All that is required to consummate this story is for a lawsuit contending gender bias.
With their dismissal, the IQ of the Mop and Pail when up by 50%. That should now put that publication intellectually on par with a toadstool.
I did not find that either one ever had anything worthwhile to say. Unfortunately, that goes for most columnists at the Globe. I am quite sick of Lawrence Martin and Geoffrey Simpson. Doug Saunders is also not worth reading. The only one I like — a little bit — is Margaret Wente . . . and only some of the time.
That is unfortunate. He does a disservice to both. Kellie would have done very well, but he may have had to be careful about which portfolio. Immigration would have been too sensitive and she would have been attacked by the media. Why not health? She is an effective MP and should be given profile. The `Canadian Values`position she took had a lot of support and will get more. For now, it need not be the focus of any appointment for her. She is a strong Conservative and deserves more of a voice. This is probably true for Trost also, but I have not followed him as much.
Tabs is gone! She was always beyond useless, a sneering urban snob from Younge St. Good effin riddance. Always wondered why she got paid for the DRIVEL she wrote
The Mop and Pail is also cutting much of its midweek Artsy crap and sports. Not that print sports means much anymore, its irrelevant before it hits the paper, especially the Mop and Pail, which always seemed to print 2 or 3 day old sports stories in the past.
What a glorious day to see that OUT OF TOUCH media source wither! I scan their headlines every few days,a nd just wonder what planet those editors live on. Then I realize its Cheranna, and it all makes sense.
I agree.
Good riddance is right. They are both politically suited for work in Maduro’s newspapers.
“what the hell is Scheer doing shutting out Brad Trost and Kellie Leitch from his shadow cabinet? ”
Using common sense. Both of those people are hazards that have no place in the CPC caucus let alone shadow cabinet. Their presence in parliament is an embarrassment.
” The `Canadian Values`position she took had a lot of support and will get more.”
No it didn’t. If her stupid ‘values test’ had a lot of support she would have gotten a lot closer to winning. Thankfully that trash got taken to the curb.
The only thing which would improve the firings of Tabatha and Leah would be if Omar Kh. carved up Heather Mallick.
” Immigration would have been to sensitive and she would have been attacked by the media . ” Anyone with a lick of sense wearing the Conservative label will be attacked by the media . Fear of the media is exactly what caused the Duffy fiasco . Kellie and her attitude is exactly what is needed- with no apologies. The only way Scheer won’t be attacked is if he acts and does as our leader with the great hair , and I for one do not find that palatable .
Yep. This and his flip flop on University free speech. And Kellie did better than Trost in the first ballot, from what I’ve seen.
Leach did herself in. It was win or take the high jump. Her ideas were rejected.
Scherr had no option but to torpedo her. Good for him for having the gonads to get it done.
I’m cautiously optimistic about him. He served his apprenticeship under Harper. I think he knows how the game is played.
A couple of years ago I referred to Tabatha Southey here as “the opposite of a must-read”. Nothing that I’ve read since then has budged my opinion one iota.
Leah McLaren’s column wasn’t that bad until she became a mother a few years ago.
I agree that Doug Saunders doesn’t have much to offer and Lawrence Martin has been just mindlessly awful for literally decades. Margaret Wente is by a decent margin the most sensible columnist they have.
As for Heather Mallick, she jumps from one thing to another sometimes bordering on incoherence but all in all she’s a better read than most of the Globe’s stable.
Is Leah McLaren going to milk this too?
(you’re welcome…)
Karma
Pure unadulterated karma.
“Good for him for having the gonads to get it done.”
If Andy Scheer had gonads he wouldn’t be the Liberal steer that stood beside Trudeau on the Paris climate deal.

Exactly!
Scheer? Why do conservatives choose leaders who are un-electable dorks. Om top of that, he’s trying to out-Liberal Trudeau. Reminds me of both Stanfield and Clark and hell – throw in Campbell. She was an un-electable dork who tried to out-Liberal the Liberals. I despised her.
“Why do conservatives choose leaders who are un-electable dorks”
Because many Conservatives are stuck in 1958 and believe the Country is still searching for another Diefenbaker.
In the long list of mediocre PM’s,Kim Campbell stands out as the absolutely worst of the lot. The phony bit** lied to anyone and everyone about her credentials to claw her way to the top,and on the way jumped from elected positions in city politics to Provincial politics to federal politics without completing her mandate in either of the first two, the epitome of the political opportunist.
Mulroney was shocked when he finally realized what a loser he’d promoted in Campbell, another fool sucked in by a woman.
Canada is a liberal country. No conservative spewing right wing ideas like we do on SDA would have a chance of forming government. That’s why our ‘conservatives’ govern like Harper. It’s the ‘art of the possible’.
Scheer knows this. He is going to do just fine against bongo.
The person I despise the most at the Globe is Doug Saunders. Absolutely a paid shill for the globalist multicultural agenda. He hates the West, he hates the nation of Canada, and he always writes with a pseudointellectual patina of “evidence” for his agenda that does not withstand a second look, but might convince those who know nothing about the topics he writes.
But yeah, good riddance to bad trash with the other two.
As for Leitch and Trost being out – it’s a politically smart move. Those two are team players, and they understand the situation too. Kudos to Leitch for the way she handled it, Trost too. Their time will come again
