1. The YouTube video on that page tells it all. Using logic and reaso–or, for that matter, courtesy–with people like that is about as pointless as trying to explain partial differential equations to a moose.

2. I actually blame the parents – the rot in the public schools goes back at least 30-40 years. I graduated high school in 1970 in Edmonton. Already there was a large majority of teachers who proudly voted NDP AND Communist. Therefore a lot of the parents of this age group, were themselves indoctrinated by the teachers.
   But I have hope for the future. The local Christian school is growing in enrollment (I even think they have to build another building). Parents are starting to “wise up” to the lack of education (reading, writing and arithmetic) which their children are receiving. Perhaps public education will be gone in another 20 years. One can only hope.

3. Trigger Warning: Statements below may cause angst, anger, denial, and other negative emotions.
   Women have many redeeming qualities but they are irrational, excessively emotional, and should not be allowed to vote or hold office.
   The examples supporting this statement are numerous (you have just seen one example) and readily available but few men will say these things in public because……..
   P.S. I do NOT hate women. Quite the contrary.

4. Mao-lings. Fantastic term by David to describe these anarcho-communists. As Alan Dershowitz says, the aim of the Antifa and the various splinter groups such as these have the sole aim of tearing down western civilization.
   Big Momma, exactly. Many here know the story I tell of a friend of mine and a step brother who both attended different teachers colleges, McMaster, Hamilton, and University of Saskatchewan, in the late 50s and had communists among their peers. We now see the fruit of these 5th columnists.

   Where I grew up and went to school, almost all of the teachers kept their political views to themselves. It wouldn’t surprise me if many were conservative as the town was in a remote part of the country with oil and farming being the main industries at the time.
   One outstanding exception was a hard-core communist who taught English while I was in Grade 11. That course, or, at least, the way he ran it, was clearly an attempt at indoctrinating us. If we expressed opinions different than what he wanted us to have, we were severely penalized in our grading.
   Eventually he became a laughingstock in the school. Even his teaching colleagues didn’t take him seriously. (Shortly after I finished my Ph. D., I called several of my former teachers to tell them what happened and to thank them for making it possible. I happened to mention that commie in the conversation with one of them and he started laughing.)
   He left that school just as I graduated from Grade 12. He told me he was packing up and moving back to Saskatchewan where, I gathered, he took up farming. It would have been a good place for him as there he could preach Marx and Lenin to his wheat without any restrictions or opposition.

8. Your reference about the teachers colleges and that some of the students were communists reminds me of a group of teachers I had while I was growing up.
   During the mid-1960s, a number of teachers from Australia moved to my part of the country. Apparently, teaching positions were hard to come by in those days and Canada seemed like a good place to go.
   I recall that they were good at their jobs, though there were some whose political views didn’t match mine at the time. That led to a bit of friction as I’m sure those teachers, like the commie I mentioned in my earlier comment, let their politics influence their grading.
   One of them taught an economics course, but his left-leaning views popped up on occasion, particularly since I was his student during the 1972 federal election. We butted heads about that, but we did it respectfully, though neither of us converted the other to our respective points of view.
   As I mentioned earlier, I called some of my former teachers after I got my doctorate and he was one of those I spoke with. I brought up that course during our discussion, commenting on how much I actually enjoyed it. I mentioned that I hadn’t come over to his side of the political spectrum, but he seemed to respect that.

9. Back in the 1980s, I got as report card on my son saying that he “was too right-wing”; there was political rot back then and it appears to have only got worse.

    PS … the more images I see of the disaffected, unhappy, PROG’s … the more I have come to understand the genesis of their discontent … they are simply UGLY people … inside and out. They are striking out at “someone” for their unlucky draw in the genetic roulette.

13. The next civil war IS coming. Cf. Jefferson’s admonitions in his Tree of Liberty letter. We’ve forestalled the purgative effects of revolt for generations in the mistaken belief that we’ve magically somehow *evolved.* Codswallop. We ain’t evolved. Not one damned bit. We’re just as broken and ruthless as we were the day we were chased outta Eden… and just as unrepentant. The problem is that our useful idiot Mao-lings (a big thank you to our wordsmith for this nugget!) truly, deeply believe that they *are* the evolved, perfected humans full of Goodness and Light… and if you can’t see the noetic light emanating from their purple-coiffed heads (even through the black hoodies) well… here’s a soda can filled with concrete to awaken your nous!
    But here’s the catch — and I don’t think the Mao-lings see it — what they’re igniting will burn them first. That’s not a threat; it’s just history.
    And here’s the catch to the catch: The rest of us aren’t going to be like Solzhenitsyn’s folks “paling in terror at every bang on the door.” Well, maybe in Boston where they’re happy little sheep content to be ordered from their homes at the point of a rifle, trotting down the street in their skivvies. The rest of us Deplorables in flyover country aren’t going to go so quietly.

    it could prove to be mighty interesting if such a crowd EVER tried to rough up THIS grey haired old hippie.
    I detest violence and force ESPECIALLY when it is aimed at me.
    it is a disheartening truth that the world today is chock full of violence and force, I will deal with it only when backed into a corner and by gawd, like I said in a recent men’s prayer meeting, my attitude in those circumstances is one of, well, looks like I could get hurt. at that moment I hand the entire sit’n over to my Lord and Creator and instantly my facial expression and body language reflect the attitude that my objective at that point is to hurt as many of them as I can.
    it is not bluff. they see it. it creates doubt and fear in their minds, at which point they continue to behave like the bullies they are and back down because they are COWARDS.
    I have no fight training, not even martial arts, but my reflexes are blisteringly fast. I do not feel the impact in my hands hitting things, and can therefore hit real hard many times.
    god damn these microfascists. they really, really need to take a step back and reconsider their favourite ‘targets’.
