Not sure why we were there at the time, but it cost Suncor (who own PetroCanada now)their PetroCanada oil leases & production located in Libya. I think we used up a half dozen F-18’s in the process, plus some dumb bombs. Can’t think what the ROI was.
So, we now obstruct exports from Alberta/Saskatchewan east or west while still importing Saudi oil & increase imports from the USA into central eastern Canada.
