Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"I got so much traffic after your post my web host asked me to buy a larger traffic allowance." - Dr.Ross McKitrick
Holy hell, woman. When you send someone traffic, you send someone TRAFFIC.My hosting provider thought I was being DDoSed. - Sean McCormick
"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
…“he’d seen a rat eating through the bandage of an injured man while he was asleep. “The rat chewed off the bandage he had, and literally the flesh off him, eating the dead flesh off his arm,””
… and did nothing to help.
“… and did nothing to help.”
I’m sure the rat had that under control, no help needed.
Dr. Drew Pinsky has been warning about this for years. Of course, he has been dismissed by the usual suspects.
It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to predict rats will come if you leave mountains of garbage lying around.
Except in California, apparently. So surprising, the Commies are shocked that this has happened. “How can this be?!” they exclaim.
Ohhhhhh mommmaaaaaa … but the Huffington Post has claimed Trump’s CDC did nothing to keep us all safe from the ratbourne hanta virus!
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/experts-stress-trumps-cdc-not-110019627.html
Ohhhhhhhhhhh mommmmaaaaaaaa … experts WARNED! Trump is baaaaad MmmmKay?
I hadn’t made that connection. Rodent-carried hanta virus outbreak, be very afraid… but they won’t pick up the garbage?
Kind of like they never stopped flights from China during Covid.
Given how much cheaper and easier it is to clean garbage off city streets compared to creating an entire new vaccine for hanta viruses (good luck with that), wouldn’t the government be doing it if the virus outbreak was actually dangerous? Yeah, I think they would be.
Every time I think I’ve taken the measure of evil in government, I’m wrong. Deliberately letting typhus and hanta viruses spread in California cities is a new low. Like they’ve hit bottom and now they’re digging.
Yeah … I don’t need “experts”… Public Health “experts” … telling me which rat borne virus, plague, or bacteria to fear … rather, just clean the damn streets. And don’t let human pigs fester on the streets. That’s downright Medieval
Medieval towns didn’t let guys lie around in the middle of the place, camping next to the road. Also, towns even in those days had rat catchers.
To me the spectacle of watching these politicians talking a different story from both sides of their mouths never fails to amaze. OMG hanta virus but no we can’t clean up because racism. OMG Covid but no we can’t curb the rioters because racism.
And they’ve been lying like that forever! Since I was a little kid. Black Day in July was the Detroit riots in 1967! It’s been SIXTY FREAKIN’ YEARS. Still doing it.
I think this could be the municipal government’s answer to the homeless population. Let Nature be the MAID of Los Angeles.
I thought hanta viruses were spread by living hanta mouth?
Rat borne parasites
My band name
Parasitic rats?
Boomtown Rats … taken.
how about
Shantytown Rats?
Legacy media and public health officials provided nonstop information about the cyclospora and salmonella outbreaks this summer. Funny that both say nothing about typhoid in LA. How many typhoid cases occurred during the World Cup games in LA while the public was kept in the dark? Public health officials and legacy media sure are selective in determining exactly which diseases pose a public health risk – the narratuve, you know.
Blind worms gnawing at the foundations of civilization.
Soft times produce stupid men.
Stupid men produce hard times.
We have been so soft, that we have become stupid beyond belief.
The 4 Horsemen ride again.
Or as the Bard Kipling quote, “The God’s of The Copybook Heading with terror and slaughter return”.
Thanks to conscientious greenies and their backyard composters, Ottawa’s 4-legged rat population is doing fine too.
My pothead neighbor mixes baking soda with whatever food and it has greatly reduced my need to shoot them.
Roughly equal amounts of flour and plaster of Paris, mix in some bouillon granules. Turns to rock and causes severe … constipation.
well well well. aaaaaaaaaand by curious coincidence just watched a clip from ‘dr zhivago’ the good doctor is pointing out ‘there is typhus in the city’ whereupon the good comrades inform him THERE. IS. NO. TYPHUS. IN. THE. CITY.
so naturally he expresses relief. p.s. are these capitalist rats?
L – Running for the Democratic Primary for the upcoming 2028 presidential election, and taking the lead: Gavin “Typhus” Newsome.
Ty for short.
“My name is my dress code: tie, no fuss…”
GYM’s a rat bastard, so there’s that.
Liberal Nirvana continues to evolve. We’ll soon have to build walls around blue cities to keep the morons and their plagues captive.
And then there is Alberta, which began a war on rats when they were first detected invading from the east (Saskatchewan) and now has a rat-free status. It takes diligence, but it’s worth it. Though do remember an article – very much back in the day – where a researcher using lab rats lamented that he was required to keep very good care of his “good” rats and was wondering how he could some “bad” rats instead.
I’m going to start a Rural Alberta Advantage tribute act and call it Rat-Free Status.
