More Pavilions At Folkfest

James, via email,

Ontario, which prosecutes ordinary folks for slaughtering beef for neighbours, has sneakily allowed 40+ facilities to provide “ritual” Halal slaughter services.
This means that Muslims, without any training or certification, can go to these places and can cut their own goat’s throat without stunning the animal – that would land anyone else before the courts.
And here’s the kicker: the “certification” of these facilities as places where ritual Halal slaughters may be conducted was not granted by any Ontario or federal government agency, but rather, by a Muslim council.

  2. Unbelievable — and yet, not surprising. The Liberals are nothing if not compelte hypocrites.

  3. I wonder what the transgender washroom policy will be for Halal practicing slaughter facilities… In Canada select groups are more equal than individuals. Pathetic.

  4. It’s not that they are complete hypocrites, they are more comparable to a Paris whore where they will suck any dirty c@@k to get what they need.

  5. “This piece of legislation has gone a little too far. I know they’re well intentioned people who want to look out for food safety but they’ve gone just too far,” he says.”
No,they’re certainly NOT “well intentioned”,they ARE bureaucratic thugs who enjoy beating up on people.
And a Muslim farmer could slaughter whatever he wanted, and distribute it as he wanted, with not a peep from the “well intentioned” bastards.
Remember the Good Old Days, when some claimed there were two distinct sets of laws in Canada, one for the rich, one for the rest? Well, now there are THREE sets of laws, the third is for Muslims, and no politician or civil servant will dare to get into a conflict with them.

  6. Sharia by stealth. Aided and abetted by gutless, white, grovelling, atheists.

  7. Liberals are liberal. They are the party of choice for any and all special interest groups for starters, they promise the moon and deliver when and if it suits. People don’t mind being lied to by Liberals, they break promises/lie and it’s all forgiven, not so with Conservatives. The province of Ontario is one of the best examples we’ll ever see. Corruption? What corruption?
Sharia law is here, we have no control over those who live under it, the Trudeau Charter covers that nicely. They want to bleed a lamb to death on their property? So be it, no questions asked. They want to beat their wives, so be it.

  8. Cannot help but wonder if an institution’s willingness to support a particular culture’s demands has anything to do with that institution’s proximity to an airport.
Consider the Toronto Star and CBC, both with head offices just a few hundred meters north of the approach and departure paths for the Toronto Island Airport.
The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs offices in Guelph are about 8000 meters away from the end of runway 23 at the Guelph Air Park.
Flying planes into things works. It works so well that you only have to do it once — or three times in one day — to cower an entire civilization.

  9. Went to my MP’s constituency office yesterday to talk about the violence of muslims in the UK, Europe and throughout the muslim world and why would Canada want this to be replicated here. The attack dog of a receptionist called me a bigot and racist for challenging our refugee program of allowing 50,000 muslims to come here. She was your typical Liberal, totally not interested in my facts on Rotherham and Cologne. No interest in my points or allowing me to have my say on this immigration.
Missed my chance as she ordered me out of their office to ask if muslims are so wonderful why are we spending billions on security in every venue? She was exactly like my Liberal friends, nothing gets through.

  10. You nailed it Shawn! (not me but couldn’t’a said it better meself).
If you have a similarly perfect description for our prime minister, tap those keys man!

  11. Boy, wait till Ontario Conservative leader Paddy “tiger” Brown gets a hold of this!
You know….just like he’s tearing them a new one on how Green Energy is ruining the province.
Heeeeeeeere, Paddy, Paddy, Paddy! Here boy! Sic ’em, fellow!
Now where did he get to now?
Hey! Who spilled the lemonade on the floor …. and down the stairs….and under the couch…?

So? OntariOWE is all ready a muzzie caliphate. Why can’t they enforce and practice their own special brand of civilization? I thought religion and gubermint weren’t suppose to cross? Oh wait. That’s the United Stupid States. Even they don’t follow their Constitution anymore(not all of them)

  13. Ain’t it odd how many of our “shared values” we have to jettison in order to accommodate the “shared values” of Islam?

  14. Interesting the controversy around the sex curriculum in Ontario schools quieted down right around the time the Religion of Peace started getting special treatment from Kim Dong Wynne.

  15. Been a life long conservative but there is absolutely no way that I can support a leader who is willingly drinking the climate change catastrophe Kool-Aid. The PCs in Ontario do not have a snow balls chance in He!! of getting elected with this guy in charge. So where does that leave us, for all intents and purposes I think we are well and truely scroowed. Look forward to at least four and probably eight years of Torontos version of liberalism, God help us all!

I think there’s a hell of an opportunity for the emergence of a true conservative party. Otherwise, I’ll be casting my vote for the Libertarians, along with the old pot-heads and the concealed carry nuts.

  18. Wrote the OMAFRA regards the cruelty of these halal operations and got the following reply:
Thank you for contacting the Agricultural Information Contact Centre with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. We appreciate this opportunity to respond to your inquiry. Animal welfare is a shared responsibility between industry, producers, and the provincial and federal governments. Our government is committed to a strong animal welfare system and supports industry in their development of scientifically informed codes of practice and on-farm animal care assessment programs. We actively promote animal welfare through research, education, inspection/enforcement activities and industry collaboration.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has jurisdiction over the slaughter of food animals in provincially inspected meat plants, abattoirs, and other approved sources under Ontario Regulation (O.
