  1. And these vegans claim their more healthy and live longer What a joke and now three innocents are dead becuase of this vegan nonsense HEY PETA SCREW YOU PETA

  2. Like a good Muslem, choosing to DIE for her belief system. Suicide bombing all you infidel meat eaters ! Sweets for every vegan, everywhere today !

  3. “Woman trying to prove ‘vegans can do anything’ among three dead, 30 sick on Mount Everest”
If it wasn’t for schadenfreude I wouldn’t have any freude at all.

  4. These people are degan’s not vegan’s, every thing that they eat is produced using diesel fuel.

  5. Agreed, Johan. The real point here is not about the debatable merits of vegan. The real issue is that climbing Everest is insane, and that several decades of such activity have turned the summit into a mortuary.

  6. Deal me in on some of that freude ! LOL (apologies to H.Rodham Clinton … sort of)

  7. Sorry Johan, but Vegans are people who denigrate the rest of us on a daily basis, posing as morally and intellectually superior beings.
How many Vegan kids have to die or grow up malnourished before they drop the idiotic lifestyle?
In progville we are forced to wear helmets to ride a bike or skate on a public rink, for our own good. Maybe it’s time we force vegans to eat meat for their own good.
If you wish to be Vegan then drop the moral posture, do what you want, and leave the rest of us alone.

  8. Koolaid is available in a progressively number of flavors and is toxic at the peak.

  9. People who climb mountains aren’t heroes.
People who rescue people who try to climb mountains are heroes.

  10. Oh c’mon. Everest doesn’t care what you eat and has killed a lot more carnivores than vegans.

  11. They’re the ones who opened themselves up to criticism by waving their veganism around in everyone’s faces. Talk about a lack of class…

  12. Maybe.
Perhaps society would be richer, more vibrant if these wanna be mountaineers were left to enjoy the results of their own efforts.
Coddling the clueless has had measurable results.
And just leaving them frozen in an action pose, will do wonders for future tourism.
Can’t wait for my personal anti gravity belt.
Sure it takes guts and organization to rush to the rescue of fools.
    But is it wise?.
As for the Vegan Couple..yup .
Going up against Nature, while being driven to prove a point, is usually fatal.
    Everest keeps proving that,
God and weather wait for no one.

  13. ” Veganism is not a handicap.”
Well, no, it is better described as a mental disorder.

  14. lots of bodies littering the landscape on Everest.
who’s cleaning up the mess? all the empty O2 bottles, abandoned gear, feces, food wrappers, utensils etc etc. typical tourists.

  15. Oh c’mon. Everest doesn’t care what you eat and has killed a lot more carnivores than vegans.
Heh, I guess not many vagetarians have the gumption to try.

  16. The first murder in history was when Kane a Vegan killed his brother Able a meat farmer unlike what was shown in the opening to 200q A SPACE ODDESSY some dumb hairy couch potato bashed in another hairy coach potatoes brains in witha stick

  17. As the old joke goes:
“How do you know if someone is a vegan?”
    “No need….they’ll f**king tell you.”

  18. Don’t confuse Vegan with Vegetarian. Vegans are radical extremists, and generally not very intelligent as evidenced by these two prime examples.
Vegetarians choose a diet that is mostly vegetables, fruits and grains and occasionally includes meat, eggs and dairy. Most of the world’s population is vegetarian.
The Sherpa diet is dominated by starchy foods, supplemented by vegetables, spices, and occasionally meat. Dairy products, especially butter and curds, are important in their diet. Sherpas eat meat, but as practicing Buddhists they will not kill animals themselves.

  19. Yes, but the carnivores went to climb the mountain, not to climb the mountain to prove their morally superior posturing over diet makes them better than carnivores.

  20. I’m gonna have to disagree with the statement that … “most of the world is vegetarian”. Most of the world is most certainly NOT vegetarian. They ARE most certainly Omnivorian. From the smallest village in the most backward, poor, 3rd world jungle to the crowded market stalls in Beijing … everyone is putting a primary protein in their cooking pot, followed by greens and beans and rice. Only the most wealthy, pampered, worry-free 1st worlders even acknowledge what vegetarianism is. If the Klinglit people’s have 100 words to describe snow, the average Chinese citizen knows no symbol for “vegetarian” … other than “cow”

  21. Go reread what I posted. “Vegetarians choose a diet that is mostly vegetables”
Note that I also stated that humans are omnivores.
Don’t make the common mistake of confusing vegetarians with vegans who eat ONLY vegetables.
    Details are important.

  22. “everyone is putting a primary protein in their cooking pot”
…and there is this large country called India as well as much of Africa where the only meat people eat is insects.
