Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

It boggles the mind. (Wheaton College is a private American four-year Evangelical Protestant Christian liberal arts college in Wheaton, Illinois)
Tenured Wheaton College professor put on leave after wearing hijab, saying Christians and Muslims worship ‘same god’

You’re going to Yale and you need a crib sheet to talk with your family?
The placemat says: “LISTEN mindfully before formulating a thoughtful response. BREATHE.”
Because normal family members just don’t GET the Hale Bop rightness. Yet. We must mindfully force obeisance.
Sorry. Bad spelling alert: I should have written Hale Bopp.
Holiday placemat? Hah! More like an indoctrination or “re-education” placemat.
I had some run ins with my kids over tuition costs when they were in university. We managed to get through that and the kids graduated with little or no student debt (and with educations they’ve been able to parlay into relatively lucrative careers).
It’s a good thing for them that they weren’t coming home with this bull sh!t.
I can’t agree more Red. One would think it would be a no brainer.
Social justice for the holidays?
Why don’t these spoiled, pasty, padded brats buy a toy for a kid who would otherwise go without?
Oh, but that’s proactive and social justice warriors just don’t do proactive.
Can you make paper airplanes out of these ‘place-mats’? I like the longer, stronger paper ones, get some good glide on those ones.
Once again, as Kate has pointed out time again and again it’s not about free thinking at universities it’s all about conform-a-versities.
God, how I long for the good old days when engineers rode Lady Godiva around the university campus on a horse, foresters spent most their spare time singing the Lumberjack song and the only radicals on campus was the table with the red tablecloth in front of the liberal arts building manned by the Free Albania Society.
Seems the only pre-requeset for urinalversity (not a spelling error)is a lobotomy.
“To gain some perspective on their viewpoint.”
SMH. People who don’t learn from history…
are these schools educating anyone anymore?
