But after more than six months of research and tracking; over 1,200 law enforcement actions and more than 300 terrorists identified; and a commendation for our efforts; DHS shut down the investigation at the request of the Department of State and DHS’ own Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division. They claimed that since the Islamist groups in question were not Specially Designated Terrorist Organizations (SDTOs) tracking individuals related to these groups was a violation of the travelers’ civil liberties. These were almost exclusively foreign nationals: When were they granted the civil rights and liberties of American citizens?
Worse still, the administration then went back and erased the dots we were diligently connecting. Even as DHS closed my investigation, I knew that data I was looking at could prove significant to future counterterror efforts and tried to prevent the information from being lost to law enforcement. In 2013, I met with the DHS Inspector General in coordination with several members of Congress to attempt to warn the American people’s elected representatives about the threat.
In retaliation, DHS and the Department of Justice subjected me to a series of investigations and adverse actions, including one by that same Inspector General. None of them showed any wrongdoing; they seemed aimed at stopping me from blowing the whistle on this problem. Earlier this year, I was finally able to honorably retire from government and I’m now taking my story to the American people as a warning.

The ‘connect the dots’ theme is interesting since I’m currently reading ‘The Finish: The Killing of Osama Bin Laden”, by Mark Bowden.
In the book, he speaks extensively of the ability of America’s defence systems: DHS, NSA,the CIA, FBI, the military and so on, to ‘connect the dots’ that pop up around the world. He speaks of the sophistication of not only state of the art software and supercomputers, but the ‘on the ground’ resources as well as everything from drones to spy satellites able to track individuals for months on end.
But it’s all for nothing if those that make the decisions on how to use/deploy those resources are more concerned about the ‘civil liberties’ of shady characters from Yemen to Turkistan than the well being of their own citizens.
All the intelligence state apparatus imaginable is useless under a slime-ball (Muslim?) POTUS. Israel is likely the only state that hasn’t fatally infected its security with PC.
The American Left, and the US Administration, are deeply in love with ISIS, and will advance it however they can.
It still amazes me that some Americans still think that Obamba is on their side!
The West would never have been destroyed militarily. A few years from now those of us in hiding or in the resistance or in exile somewhere will know: we were taken out from the inside, with traitors using our own freedoms, laws, and sense of fairness and decency against us.
It will start with unbeatable electoral numbers from leftists’ shiny new (mostly illegal) immigrant voter bases, to give those who “win” the elections all the “legitimate” democratic powers they need to enact the West’s complete downfall (Obama’s well down that destructive road already.)
Sorry about my pessimism. But I’m quite certain that no upcoming election will save the US or Canada or England ever again. The next Reagan or Churchill won’t have the number of votes he’ll need to win. That’s why Hillary’s so harshly arrogant, even as the email scandal proves she should be in jail, or at least asked to withdraw for endangering national security. She’s arrogant because she knows she already has the election “won”. The next decades are going to unleash something on the West’s freedoms that will turn our decent, good, prosperous lands into something of a distopian nightmare, at least for the non-favorite groups. I’m so sad for my children; they won’t have what dearly-bought freedoms gave my generation and previous ones in the magnificent, magnificent West.

Well said…once one does some serious research and adds that to the belief (mine for sure), that what these Islamics have been saying for years: “We will obliterate you, we will obliterate Tel Aviv, Death to America…were not just some cute protest slogans….these guys mean exactly what they say.
The issue is of course is that we have been infiltrated since the late 40’s with Muslim Brotherhood operatives that have insinuated themselves in every aspect of our societies….starting with the Universities and then into the Media and Politics. All part and parcel of their “PROJECT”….to destroy Western civilization from within.
