Only the best and brightest need apply

Watch: emotionally incontinent Yale student practically screams at an administrator for not speaking out against other students’ Halloween costumes.
From an op-ed in The Yale Herald written by one of the offended students:

…we don’t want to debate more. We want to be able to go home at night in a place where we feel welcome and wanted….Christakis needs to stop instigating more debate. He needs to stop trying to argue with people who are hurting, regardless of his personal opinions.

Mercy.

  1. This is just a wild guess, but I have a hunch that this broad isn’t enrolled in engineering. Just sayin’.

  2. Christakis needs to stop instigating more debate. He needs to stop trying to argue with people who are hurting, regardless of his personal opinions.

She’s right, you know. He should just expel them all and let Yale get on with teaching.

  3. I read the original e-mail. One has to do mental gymnastics to find anything remotely offensive in the e-mail (casus belli). But then I’m not a SJW, so I don’t take offence from my own shadow either.

  4. PMS, emotionally out of control. “I take a man, then I take away logic and reason.” Jack Nicholson, As Good as It Gets.
(I am a hetro-patriarchal type guy. What are you gonna do about it!)

  5. Its called Indoctrination and Hitler,Stalin and Mao were good at this just like the NEA(National Educations Asociations)dose with the kids in our school today

  6. Tantrums, hysteria, delusions – can the dean have her sent for psych evaluation? If not just expel the whiney doosh – looks like a mass murderer in the making

  7. The depressing fact is that these idiots will have a far more successful and rewarding career than the rest of us, either in public services or politics.
Although they display intellectual and emotional abilities far below the level of the average plankton, they have the right background and contacts so they will succeed.

  8. I look forward to the day Sharia law comes to North America and dumb tw*ts like that are put in their place, i.e. under a burlap sack or up to her neck in the ground, ready for a little stoning. Yessiree, I do look forward to that sweet islamic patriarchy – then the dumb tw*ts will really have something to cry about.

  9. Hopefully this is a real meltdown by some mentally deranged Marxist snowflake from an elite family
and not just some overwrought feminist bullshitter on a pity scholarship sharing her “feelings”.

  10. She’d make a good Muslim lawyer. I read the email that inspired her tirade. It was a well written logically explained argument for the kids to grow a thicker skin. This is an example of the fight between those who support freedom of expression and those that want to kill it. Individualist vs. Communist.

  11. Yes she’s going to go out in the world and make “comfortable homes” for everyone.
Just ask Sonia Sotomayor and Eric Holder how.

  12. Only her opinion matters, “QUIET” She is screaming and delusional, a big mug of shut the f**k up is in order.
If the Administrator was acting like her, he would be out of his job in a split second.
    The “leaders of tomorrow”
Must stock up on the necessaries, tinned goods and ammo, hell is here.

  13. Spurwing Plover says: “Indoctrination”. And that is exactly the problem. Most campus administrators today have been formed by one of the many spawns of critical theory, and most policies in place today on colleges and universities center on grievances and identity. I will give a mundane example: during a review of some of the programs in the institution where I teach, it was deemed necessary to incorporate, in the teaching, aboriginal views on the subject matter. So, the computer sciences department has to literally bend backwards to, somehow, introduce that perspective. This extreme form of identity politics does not foster “unity and understanding”. It accentuates, deepens and perpetuates “social struggles”. Lukacs defined dialectical materialism as the knowledge of society as a whole, knowledge which, in itself, was immediately the class consciousness of the proletariat. Colleges and Universities across North America would make Marx, Engels, Lenin, Lukacs and Mao really proud.

  14. in the teaching, aboriginal views on the subject matter
Is an aboriginal anything like an indian, or as the on piece linked to using Afro, is it an effort to strengthen this PC BS. We need to watch our language so that we do NOT enable these twits.

  15. If I was Christakis, I would have lost my temper and told the fool, “It’s time for you to grow the F*** up.”
