1. Britain: a stupid little country.
   What Canada will be when it grows up.

2. Gotta have the scratch for that free grain distribution and celebratory games.

The military teaches boys to take on manly responsibilities of national and personal armed defense – it gives them a sense of patriotism and it trains you to recognise enemy activity and deal with it with martial skills – 2 things a klepto-tyranny cannot have infecting the male population which it has spent years making into emasculated simpering submissive wimps.
   Britain is another EU colony under imperial happy-face fascism, soon to be converted into a city-state of agenda 21 global feudalism – cant have armed men running free with these plans in the execution stages

Like back in the 1990’s when King William the Rapists was in charge cutting back on national defense to spend money on suuch rediclous ideas like Midnight Basketball its always the plans of whiny little liberals to cut back on national defences to finance some dumb pet project of theirs like Midnight Basketball or luxerious housing for child molesters and rapists

   They could at least wait and implement it after all the mayhem
   caused by the upcoming financial meltdown settles into low level
   terrorism and enthusiastic general criminality.

7. I dont see a prob with this if handled correctly.
   a fully trained pick-of-the-crop military would be very efficient. the best technology and armed to the teeth, trained in a host of roles.
   electronically guided bullets dont need to be fed and housed and paid a pension etc.
   sadly, that wont happen. cut cut cut. gee, that sounds like the conservative mantra.

8. Yet even reduced to 50,000 soldiers, the regular British Army will still be over twice as large as the regular Canadian Army and 73 percent the size of the entire regular Canadian Armed Forces.
   The territory of the UK covers 243,610 sq km with a population of 65 million.
   The territory of Canada covers 9.985 million sq km with a population of 35 million.

    Putin just signed an order on October 3rd drafting 150,000 young Russian men.

11. Switzerland has compulsory National Service, why not Britain and Canada? Notice I omitted the Great.

13. Maybe the war on Carbon hasn’t left the treasury able to afford the contingency of a real war. They are however contributing personnel to the fighting in the ME. Unfortunately, it’s ISIS they are supplying with fighters. Churchill must be spinning in his grave.
