Here, Tell These People Something They Don’t Know About Me

Now is the time at SDA when we juxtapose!
Washington Post, Sept.4th … “What we’ve said to our members is that ‘Trump is a liability to the future of the nation,’ and we’ve asked them for support for Club for Growth Action to get that message out,” Club for Growth President David McIntosh said in a statement to The Washington Post.
Club for Growth, June 2nd

Well, that’s awkward.

  1. Two points:
    1) Donald Trump has one concern: Donald Trump
    2) Donald Trump is forcing the Republicans to the right.

  2. With due respect I think you’re absolutely wrong.
What’s more hilarious is that establishment candidates like squishy Jeb Bush are screaming their heads off that Trump isn’t a TRUE conservative.
Trump is a “populist,” “looking out for number one,” or however you want to describe him. He’s not that much of a CONSERVATIVE. That’s the more revealing story.
If you want to know the cause of the Trump phenomenon, it’s not much more complicated than looking at the record of the Republicans since they took control of both houses of Congress.
They can’t do this, they can’t do that, they can’t do the other. That was the last straw for a lot of conservative folks. Some of us are sitting back and enjoying it. The Republican Party had a long run in American life but it may be time for a replacement.
Look what happened in Canada from Mulroney onward. It may take some time but something is in the air.

  3. Hoping everyone in canada is tired of serial politicians. The Trudeau , the Layton/ chows, mulcairs , hawksworths
The US is sick of the bush / Clinton’s
Worse there as there are only two parties

  4. Donald Trump does not have to care if anyone likes him..He wants to do the right things, like he has in business for the most part. If anyone thinks the current dud, or any of the running duds are better then Trump, they are dull. Trump could be the last chance for America, and, as goes Canada. This is a pivotal point in history, the grassroots against the hoi poli so to speak, moneywise Trump is hoi poli, inside he is everyman, tough for the media and elites to grasp, so funny watching this unfold, he doesn’t care about being PC or in other words, he wont be emasculated!

  5. You don’t buy Trump, He collects dollar store petty bureaucrats and execs like golf tees.
Pity this board room gangster is what stands as a 3rd party in the devolving US political system. But he does far better alternative than Dem soviet austerity or GOP crony keptonomics
Besides, the freak show he puts on showing up media and political whores for what they are is worth the admission.

  6. I love the way Trump shakes off the arm tackles of the mediocracy. He never internalizes their “outrage” and simply moves forward with his simple but resonating message to make America great again. Compare this to Obama’s devoid of substance “yes we can.” I don’t really see Trump as a conservative, more a libertarian with a sprinkling of conservatism. GOP presidents of the last 100 years or so have had a mix of both, the last truly conservative president was Reagan, and there were few & far between after the turn of the twentieth century.
The GOP worries too much about a candidate not being “conservative” enough. The voter doesn’t know what they mean anyway, having zero interest in comparing ideologies they don’t understand or care about. Trump is a southern Harper, without the shyness and extensive experience in government, and possibly good judgment, because he too feels the individual in civil society should be unbounded from the unnecessary intervention of the state in private affairs, in fact that is where their nation’s greatness lies, not in the fatal conceit of government.
Progressives in both countries abhor the idea of civil society, rather they favour the individual at the behest of government, guided by their infinite wisdom (and powers of taxation). The GOP needs to root those elements out of their policies, so that party can get on with making their country great again.
Anything less cheapens the party to the point where even HRC could beat them in the next election for president.

  7. “Look what happened in Canada from Mulroney onward. It may take some time but something is in the air.”
    Like what?
Call me pessimistic, but I’m not sure things will go well in October.

  8. He signs with a single name like Madonna or Cher
Has a big ego but forgot it won’t fit in the room with trumps

  9. I’m not either. Still, I think there’s an interesting parallel that could be drawn between the “old Conservatives,” Reform, and the “New Conservatives,” and the current Trump phenomenon.
Nobody is guaranteeing a happy outcome, least of all your obedient servant, Drained Brain.

  10. Trump makes interesting enemies. Is it because he is actually talking about stopping illegal immigration? Because no one else has done so in either party in the last 20 years.

  11. He funds his own campaign, but he will most likely ask ALL big donors not to fund his competitors. It is like a loyalty pledge. Those that fund Hillary will lose their money & access to Trumps America….One way Street to the WH
Trump wins the independents and Blue Dog Democrats, the Republicans may split (some cranks not voting) but he wins the WH going away.
I hope he demands that Iran release the 4 prisoners, “before” Obama announces the same.

  12. The next president will likely be picking up to four Scotus judges. He HAS to be conservative enough to pick conservative judges and stick with them.

  13. I like the part of the story where Trump says he’s going to persuade Ford Motor Company (GM, Chrysler etc.) to move their operations back to the USA!! Yes Mr. Trump. And I’m sure they’ll relocate in a hellhole named Detroit where the labour unions can have another go at them, and GM, and Chrysler etc.
Let’s use Ford as an example. In the USA in 2014, FoMoCo sold 2.8 million vehicles. Worldwide out of their three other divisions (Europe, Asia-Africa and South America) they sold 3.3 million vehicles. Add Motorcraft parts and accessories and that adds up to 144 Billion USD$ worldwide. I’m sure they’re anxious to be told how to run their business by Mr. Trump who has considerable assets at 10 billion USD$, however not anywhere near the 210 billion USD$ of assets that William Clay Ford controls for FoMoCo.
Say! William Clay Ford! He’d make a great president!

  14. NAAA THE FORD FAMILY HAS ALWAYS BEEN JEW HATERS AND ANTI SEMITES.
As for Trump tTed Cruz will sort him out as his VP, Allen West as his Sec of Defense , Trey Gowdy as his AG, and Sarah Palin as Energy Secretary. PHew america saved some what until the next election. That is the big one. The next election. all though if Cruz sorts out trump. you could see another Trump presidency

  15. They r right.
The only way Trump is a viable candidate is running against Clinton. Otherwise, he’s a very bad choice for the GOP.

  16. Something tells me that you are right, as the Media Party and the Government Worker Union Party are going all out to campaign for their Liberal/NDP coalition partners.
I am not sure that Trump would make a good president, but I just love the way he is shaking up the RINO bunch. In effect he is giving voices to the “none of the above” sentiment.

  17. Trump gets support because he tells the Pol Correct crowd to go jump. He isn’t even close to being apologetic. As for him being ‘not conservative enough’, most believe that he will take at least some action – on the border and immigration for example.
After the tremendous shake up to the establishment that a Trump Presidency would be, I think that the GOP may start to pay more attention to the grassroots.
