Here, Tell These People Something They Don’t Know About Me

Media mystified;

A Morning Consult tracking online national poll found Trump increasing his lead to 32 percent –21 percentage points ahead of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who garnered 11 percent.
And a new poll from Reuters found Trump leading among Republican voters after the debate with 24 percent, compared to 12 percent for Bush. Trump’s numbers were unchanged from a previous Reuters poll, but Bush’s numbers were down from 17 percent in the online poll.
The new polls underlines a sense that Trump is not like other presidential candidates, and that controversies that would sink others bounce off the billionaire businessman. Many thought comments he made last month denigrating Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) war service would do him in. Instead, Trump’s poll numbers grew.

It’s hard to challenge the credibility of others after you’ve thrown your own away.

  1. Trump/Cruz 2016, Paul/Cruz 2016, Cruz/Walker 2016 throw Huckabee and Fiorina in there for good measure.
Thats about it Folks the rest are squishes for the left.
Christe is a lover of all things obama he talks alot against himbut he sure loves to shake his hand.
Carson is against the 2nd amendment
    Kaish is another bush
    Bush is another well bush
Rubio is a squish and loves amnesty for illigals and will not secure the boarder.
The others like perry and jindal are great cons but not presidential.
Trump has it right i know he has donated to the left right and centre, he was for socialized medicine then he was against it blsah blah blah. listen to him now.
Even if he did one thing (secure the boarder) america would be better.
But i think him and Cruz would sort out alot of garbage in america. I like Rand Paul too Andbeleive it or not Fiorina is a friken tiger she has shown some good backbone as well.
But trump will not let people dictate how he talks what he says and does and for all his faults that is a very strong positive the biggest reason is that he truly loves america. Anyway i think one of those will be the next potus.
    Here’s to hoping anyway.

  2. A no-brainer.
You don’t have to be pro-Donald to see that he is “trumping” the others simply by refusing to be nondescript.

  3. Megyn Kelly was just being a bitch. She thought that Trump would crumple under her masterful expose. She was wrong. When Trump replied to her “that was Rosie O’Donnell” everyone understood. Trump doesn’t go looking for fights but when they come to him he doesn’t back off. Given the state of Obama and Kerry’s selling of the farm to Iran, perhaps a president who doesn’t back off is something to be desired. A lot of Republican candidates without traction might want to consider an early exit. Throw Trump in the presidential race with Carly Fiorina as vice presidential candidate and you might have something.

  4. Megyn was just doing her job by asking questions that will undoubtedly come up later from the Democrat side, period.
Having said that, it’s interesting that Trump is being called out for using the exact same name-calling tactics that lefties have used for decades to silence their opposition.
No matter what criticism Trump has to take (and he can take it as well as dishing it out), you’ve got to admit he’s entertaining.
We’ll eventually see how the thin-skinned lefty victim class will react and how much sympathy the American voting public will have for them. I’m hoping the victim thing has run its course.

  5. “My theory – or should I call it a hypothesis? – is that Trump is what you get, in response, after several decades of political correctness.”
    – David Warren

  6. Well Trump has Split (equal HARD number for and Against) the Republican Vote & the moment of truth becomes real…He can run & win as an independent. It is the Republican party that must get out of the race or follow Trump to the WH…..All the money spent on losers is pissed away….Time to get real…
Trump needs Carly on a Republican ticket, but she may also be available on an Independent ticket…How has she been treated?
The Republicans have JELLY candidates, they fit every jelly mold–like a Swiss army knife. They have a zero vision..Ohio

  7. I find Trump to be very entertaining, especially when he goes after the media, but now this is getting serious.
Really… Are there that many conservatives who are so angry at government that they can’t see what Trump is doing?
I don’t have time to get into specifics, but I’ll keep repeating what I’ve been saying nearly every day since Trump announced. “Conservatives will be awfully disappointed if Trump gets the nom, let alone the keys to the WH”.
He has “evolved” so many times on so many issues, both moral, and political, he can hardly be called a conservative. I implore conservatives, don’t drink too much of that Trump Kool-Aid.

  8. If Trump can not handle “unfair” questions with more grace and professionalism then he is not equipped to run for or be president.
The country is not one of your companies, Donald, where you can fire any employee who disagrees with you. If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

  9. I can defend myself and even insult someone without being boorish, arrogant a@@hole. It’s not that hard. I’m hoping Trump proves me wrong but I still believe he is doing everything possible to get the horrible Hillary elected.

  10. It’s fitting they’re called “Anchors”, eh?
Here’s a quick Candy Crowley job application and further huge-asslicking Parking Garage XIII debasement to Hillary, “the real story is in the comments”.
    Level of hate.

  11. After all the BS rhetoric is over, it’s President Hillary in ’16.
I thought the GOP was manned by political pros, but they’ve let this boor take over the show, and now we know they’ll choose the “safe” candidate.
    Romney/McCain for the GOP ticket.

  12. rabbit, Trump calls a spade a spade and people like that, that’s why he is surging in the pols. With your analysis you are actually denigration the general populace. For years now the politicians have been “playing” it your way, and look at the mess we have. Most people miss nonce, just as you miss the reason for Trump’s popularity. If he starts doing as you suggest his numbers will tank. I think we are speaking of LIVs here.

  13. Trump is winning because he is the only candidate who is seriously talking about illegal immigration. If America wants to remain being a country they need to stop illegals and deport the ones that are already in the country. It’d probably be a good idea to reform the legal immigration system. After college I looked into immigrating to the US and it would have been a 5-10 year journey with no guarantees. I’ve never been unemployed in my adult life and make really good money which is just the type of person the US immigration system is designed to turn away. If I was an unemployed, non-english speaking terrorist from shitstainstan they would have rolled out the red carpet.

  14. “Megyn was just doing her job”…
Megyn is all about Megyn. Her voice dripped of contempt. The first two questions were aimed directly at the leading contender, Trump, an attempt to knock him down or out. On her show, she took exception to Rudy Guiliani saying that Obama does not love America; she insulted Guiliani by pushing him to apologize. He refused. Megyn went after Dick Cheney, also, but was sisterhood-soft on Sheryl Sandberg, Jen Psaki and Marie Harf, all lefties. All female. She’s out to prove how tough she is, but nobody is as effective as Mark Levin, who eviscerated Megyn after the debate. NOBODY is more brilliant and scathing than Mark Levin.
Trump does not start fights, but he plays to win.

  15. Disclosure: I do not support D.Trump for the GOP nomination at this time.
So here is the thing; the entire premise of this article; which is derived from “conventional” thinking…is wrong!
What is becoming apparent, and what I appear to be seeing is this(I live in AZ BTW):
both the Right and the Left despise the Donald! It is some weird coalition that is forming in the middle to support Trump.
THIS is what is actually going on, as Democrats and Republicans who are vaguely interested are throwing-in with the Donald; whereas, those like myself(on the Right) and others on the Left (in the know) are wringing their hands trying to figure-out what is happening.
This is uncharted territory; as we could very well end-up with a liberal Republican President.
    JMO

  16. “from directly condemning Trump for making comments targeted at prisoners of war and at women”
This is why we hate the media and love the dark horses that just stand up to them. (Megan Kelly included)
Trump mocked two people in a fight, not groups, not veterans , not women, not prisoners of war. We are beginning to reject the media’s shallow insipid PC conditioning THEY use for the politics of personal destruction against our best candidates. It’s old and we’ve widely spotted them, the media is the slobbering rabid dog lurching down the street at noon about to get a bullet through the head.

  17. Bah! The media want their politicians “sophisticated”, whatever that means, and Sarah Palin and Donald Trump are not sophisticated. I would imagine that Donald Trump could order wine better than most media people, but he would consider that an insignificant accomplishment. But Americans are not sophisticated. They want brains, they want toughness, they want “right-thoughtedness” (no traitors need apply). this Trump supplies, together with a vast experience of the world. Sarah Palin doesn’t quite have his force of character, and didn’t have the time to develop the necessary experience.
Canadians are not very sophisticated either. Sarah Palin could be a Newfoundland character, right down to the moose hunting (speaking of which, moose season in NL is about a month away). Of course the media down here on the Rock laughed and sneered at her as the CBC taught them, never thinking they were laughing and sneering at themselves.
If Donald Trump is elected President he will do fine. He is probably more of a sophisticate and a gentleman than Jack Kennedy (a crude Irish boor) anyway – but Kennedy was very much protected by the media, more successfully than the rat Obama. And Kennedy had good staff and knew how to learn his lines.

  18. Trump, the long-time Clinton friend and donor, will continue with his impression of a right-wing blowhard up until he is either forced out by the GOP or pout-quits to run as an independent.
The split on the right will ensure a Hillary victory; the plan all along.

  19. Megyn may be softer on the sisters, but the fact remains Trump would have had to face those questions at some point of his campaign.
His answers were far from diplomatic and were overly aggressive.
Tweeting out that Megyn is a bimbo the day after … not true, but it fit the pattern of power through name-calling that’s becoming apparent throughout the campaign.
Trump has managed to get away from it because nobody can accuse him of being in the pocket of anybody, since he will readily admit that he’s bought politicians in the past.
Interesting and entertaining but at the same time cringe-worthy on the name-calling level.

  20. NME666:
The only thing you know about “my way” is that I prefer candidates who respond like adults when presented with challenging or even hostile questions, so don’t presume.
And so far as “denigrating the general populace”, that makes so little sense that a rebuttal isn’t needed.

  21. i wonder if there would even be a story if it was Chris Wallace Trump went after. i think not!
the press is pouncing because according to them: women need protecting!
“Personally, I hate sexual harassment laws. The original force behind them were disgruntled lesbians who felt they were not given the same opportunities. Along with ugly women, who are jealous of pretty women who got all the breaks in the work force. My cause to action is simple, women are victims. They need special help. Look, at the evolution of these sexual harassment laws. What we are really saying is women really should qualify under the Federal Disability Act. They are less able. They cannot cope with romance in the office. They cannot contend with having to do a job and have a man smile at them. It is too much. Look where we use to be, first quid pro quo, then hostile environment, and now Seinfeld episodes. Women can’t take it they bruise too easily. The laws are here to protect the weak and most vulnerable in society. She is woman, protect her!”
    – Richard Fish, “The Playing Field”

  22. The Clintons are using the ’92 playbook again, this time setting up Trump to be this cycle’s Ross Perot.
Trump will never be elected – even if by some miracle he wins the nomination – there are too many who will never vote for him because either 1) they don’t like his abrasive, childish behavior or 2) they’re conservatives who have looked at his record and realize his political leanings fall somewhere between center-left and far-left. This is a man who supported Obama twice – he didn’t suddenly have a conservative awakening at almost 70.
The man is a friend of the Clintons, though, and has an ego that can probably be seen from several galaxies away with the right telescope. I don’t believe he has the capacity to deliberately run just to set up Hillary to win, but I do believe the Clintons have the capacity to position somebody to whisper just the right things into his ear to encourage him to try.
He’ll either pick up the nomination and lose, or lose the nomination and run as an independent – which inevitably will hand the presidency to the Democratic nominee.

  23. I really don’t know if Trump is simply in it for sh1ts and giggles or if he is truly serious. Im not sure he is truly of any political affiliation – more whatever suits his need on any given day. But he is stirring things up in the Inside the Beltway Republican Party (that being the party of Lindsay Graham, McCain, Colin Powell, McConnell, et al)
He certainly has the pundits mystified as to why he is not blowing up. My theory is that he is brash, bold, loud and proud and not afraid to offend. To much of the world this describes the average stereotypical American and they view those characteristics in a sneering, condescending fashion.
However I think a lot of Americans are very proud to be Brash Bold Loud and Proud and not afraid to offend, and for them they see Trump in themselves.
I personally like that aspect of Trump – he’s done it and he likes you to know it. As the saying goes, it aint braggin if you can do it, and Trump has proven he knows how to be successful and fight adversity and adversaries and come out on top.
America put a man on the moon almost 50 years ago with that quintessential American can do, failing is not an option, attitude. That does not exist in either party today in this age of political correctness gone amok. The world needs America to get that back, imperfect as it may have been.
Trump is tapping into that, and if he truly serious about being a contender, he will – if nothing else – push the political pendulum back towards the right (it has a long long way to go to actually get back on the right hand side of center)

  24. “Megyn may be softer on the sisters, but the fact remains Trump would have had to face those questions at some point of his campaign.” Set you free
That is the second time you have used that theme “that what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” It is a common practice in upper Corporate empires to evaluate competence. When done it is hidden from the target, not done in front of 24 million.
What you need to answer is why did FOX select Megyn to front the attack on Trump? Was it because she was a female?
The career of Megyn will not depend on FOX Management (100% behind Megyn & Trunp) The fall out will be felt by her fellow FOX journalists & staff. Nobody respects toadies

  25. Hmmm. I admire your apparent inside knowledge of newsroom politics.
Megyn has brought in good numbers for FOX and was the only opinion show host on the panel … Chris Wallace and Brett Bair are both from the hard news side.
From a showbiz point of view, Megyn asking the questions has more impact than either Wallace or Bair could have delivered.
Whether you like the question or not, it was more hardball than anything you’ll see from the wussy Canadian media.

  26. Just checked ratings for last Friday.
Megyn is very close to overtaking O’Reilly as the No. 1 FOX opinion show. I’d predict it will happen very soon.

  27. If Trump runs as an independent then at least one of Cruz, Walker, Carly or another would adopt Trump’s illegal immigration stance to distance themselves from the others if they haven’t already and win the whole thing. I don’t think Trump would draw many conservatives or even republicans away either way.

  28. I hope you’re right, but I’m not optimistic.
In 92, it only required taking a few points away from Bush to hand the election to Clinton. In 2016, with the GOP nominee requiring enough of a lead to overcome widespread, institutionalized voting fraud, a few points toward Trump would very likely alter the outcome of the election.

  29. and Ratings mean?… remember Bill Cosby Show was cancelled in 1992 at the top of his popularity…NBC made a business decision.
Nobody else picked him up.. just gone.. Why?

  30. Hey right now Trump and Cruz are the 2 top dogs and i would love to see that on a ticket or Cruz/Paul
To those of you who think Donald is a lefty , show me another lefty that wants to build a wall a big wall along the USA mexico boarder? show me someone who wants to kick out the illegals ,drop the illegals from USA jails back into their home countries?
Also remember there is big business in corrections and the justice industry and they are employed by criminals the more the merrier.
Alot of stupid people in here talking about sophisticated politicians and a certain way to talk and not be a boorish a$$hole
Well you can suck it!! I want a politician who can get stuff done and i don’t care how he speaks. or walks, or acts,or thinks,or eats,or what he drives or owns.

  31. We can all expect that Megyn will ask Clinton: Do you & Bill have a new cigar Humidor?…. not likely!

  32. The desperation of the parasites and the socialist neocons from the GOP establishment is obvious. Now Faux News is using Alynsky tactics to try to eliminate the conservative candidate from the fray and to wipe out all discourse contrary to the objectives of the Left and the corrupt. Megyn Kelly is like all Faux News bimbos a retarded presstitute on the payroll of the GOP establishment.
It was only a matter of time until the leftists in the GOP establishment would resort to the same Alinsky tactics that their ideological comrades have been using with great effectiveness to stigmatize perfectly reasonable opinions that go against their interests.
But Trump has single-handedly destroyed the complete scaffolding of the leftist attack scheme coming from the Left and Faux News and it drives them nuts because he won’t back down and he won’t apologize. He has emerged from the onslaught not only unscathed but also reinforced and his positions validated. Trump has demonstrated that they have no power if you double down and stand your ground and they are desperate because people are realizing that.

  33. Opposition to illegal immigration isn’t exclusive to the political right. While the Democratic party leadership embraces illegals, polls consistently show approximately 80% of the country (which, by definition, must include a significant number of Democrats) are opposed to illegal immigration.
Trump is not a conservative. I’m going to repeat that in the hopes that it might sink in. Trump is not a conservative. He’s not even close to being conservative. But don’t take my word for it; take it from a conservative who could talk tough to liberals without being a self-centered, sulking child – Andrew Breitbart: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vl55q2nK76k
Breitbart could be rude, abrasive, and blunt – I loved him for it. Trump is childish. There’s a significant difference, and it’s a shame that so many choose to ignore it.
Remember a few years ago, when conservatives lined up behind Chris Christie because he talked tough to the teacher’s union? Remember how that turned out?
Eventually, you and a lot of other people are going to wake up to the fact that the person you invited into your bed is not the person you convinced yourself that he was. Right now, the hysteria for Trump resembles nothing more than the ugliness that was the Paulbot voting block of the previous election cycles.

  34. I like Trump i could see Him and Cruz on a ticket i think Cruz would sort himout really fast. i like Rand Paul too. I think Cruz is probably going to be the nominee.

  35. rabbit
“The only thing you know about “my way” is that I prefer candidates who respond like adults when presented with challenging or even hostile questions, so don’t presume.”
yah butt, the people who support Trump like his style, and not your style, is that a little difficult for you to understand. And the fact that you think your opinion is better that their’s because it’s your opinion puts you in a position were you “denigrate them”, quite frankly you can take and stuff your opinion as far as his supporters are concerned. I think that the “Donald” is a childish idiot, and have thought such for years, but I can identify with why ppl like him, he’s honest. I have said in here before that I can take many in here for a walk in the real world, and you appear to be one of those who could benefit from a little real world education.

  36. For once i agree with NME never thought i would say it but i do agree.
Why does the media and the rest of the conservatives tend to insult and hate the Trump supporters? Why ?
This lambasting of anyone who supports trump sounds a lot like the liberal Marxists whipping people into line. That is not how conservatism works we all support our guys and who ever is the nominee even if i don’t like him i will still support him because he will be better than Hillary or Sanders

  37. soooooo basically, public opinion has finally caught up to the reality of american media 40 years ago?
    yup !

  38. soooooo basically, public opinion has finally caught up to the reality of american media 40 years ago?
    yup !

  39. Trump is a puffed up jackass. I don’t care how far ahead he is in the polls does anybody really think he’s got what it takes to lead the USA? If jr. trudeau isn’t ready neither is Trump. He’s a sideshow carnie.
The GOP can do better than this.
My prediction – it wont be either Trump or Clinton.

  40. I don’t understand all the hatred for Trump from the right.
What do we always say? “What this country needs is a businessman in office.” Well now you’ve got a potential one. Maybe two. Imagine a Trump/Fiorina ticket. She’d be the best attack dog on Hillary you can imagine.
So he has some bozo eruptions. So what? That’s his style, and people are ready for it. The reason politicians never talk straight is that when they do, they get punished for it. With Trump, he knows the media, and is shameless. He’s like the Incredible Hulk, the more he’s attacked, the stronger he gets.
So if he’s a RINO. Never had one of those in office, nope nope nope. What’s the old saying “pick the most conservative who’s still electable”. So you’d rather have Hillary than Trump? That’s what you’ll get if you go with most of the current GOP lineup.
Really, he’s an independent. THAT is why he pisses off the Republican establishment. He can’t be controlled. He can’t be bought. Yes if he’s behind the wheel who knows where he’ll take the country… but I’m sure he’ll do better than Obama. Worst case scenario he gets turfed in 4 years.
They said the same things about Reagan: a cowboy, an actor, etc. Ended up being the best president since Lincoln. Give him the keys to the whitehouse and he might rise to the occasion.
His response to Kelly should have been “is that the best you can do?”. So far that his only real mistake.
I like him. If I was USian, I’d vote for him. Heck maybe I’ll fly down and volunteer for him.

  41. rand paul is a joke;
he never will, nor should, EVER get near the WH
    just the truth folks
