As much as I have absolutely no use for Gilles Duceppe and all that he stands for, I would lose no sleep if the Bloc took most, if not all, of the seats that they lost to the NDP in the last election. Of course, I would prefer that the Conservatives took these seats but we all know that’s not realistic.
The campaign has just begun and already I’m sick and tired of the media and the smug Mulcair tossing around the “Orange Crush” bullshit at every opportunity. These simpletons don’t seem to realize that what happened in 2011 was an anomaly never to be repeated.
Hats off to Mr. Lilley!
We have heard this line so often and so long that we all believe it. Hopefully you are right Brian.
I just spent a week wandering around Montreal and drinking coffee in a myriad of goofy cafes.
Three things you need to know.
1. There are so many fine looking women of every possible race in that town, and they are so done up fancy, and almost all of them are happy, that I have freaking whiplash. So many gorgeous girls with nice legs, holy freaking crap.
2. Everybody is speaking English, and nobody appears to give a shit about anything. Compare and contrast with grinchy Toronto, which looks like a gloomfest inhabited by hateful creatures escaped from Purgatory.
3. I am Paranoia Boy when I’m out and about. Code Orange all the time, hyper vigilance. Can’t shut it off. I walked around that town for a whole week and my radar didn’t ping once. I actually felt safer than I do in the middle of a ten acre field. I probably wasn’t, but I felt that way. Probably the fine looking women interfering with my Spidey Sense.
Just my two cents worth for today. Everything we read in the news is 100% bullshit. Just keep it in mind.
