Oh sure, a play about yesterdays news while emotions are still running hot and the losing side still feels they were screwed by the system. If a mountain of evidence can’t change their preconceived notions, I doubt if a play could. Dumb idea bordering on stupid and almost a guarantee for another riot outside of the theater. The actors may have quit for the wrong reason, but showing Mike Brown as anything other than a future saint would probably put their lives in danger. A 3 day run for this ill conceived project also seems overly optimistic.
Looks like they got themselves a truth translator.
They quit because they were on the first train to Baltimore.
I think Hollywood could usefully stop whining about McCarthyism now.
I dunno Mamba, given that McCarthy was right, maybe Hollywood could start whining about it from the more Truthy perspective.
That could only happen after a Zombie Apocalypse kills every liberal in Holloywood, of course. But given Baltimore that might be more a matter of time than anything else. Hollywood right now is experiencing a human wave of future landscapers and hotel maids, they could go full-on Zombie at the drop of a food stamp card.
Outside of Al Jolson, good luck finding a black actor to play Micheal Brown.

The ones to instigate these riots should be held responible and especialy financialy liable for the whole thing Fine each rioter $2500 lock up the looters then deport every one of them

Sounds good but it wouldn’t work. To raise the money they would have to sell a lot more drugs and do more break-ins. Deport them where ? Most were born in the nest they’re fouling and I doubt if 10% even know who their father was, much less where they came from originally. I like the idea of chain gangs to clean up the mess they made for as long as it takes. Live in work camp tents and take away every amenity that they hold dear. Barb wire fences and Marine drill sergeant in charge. Perimeter guards with live ammo, dogs and orders to shoot if necessary. No criminal record if they behave for the duration. They want a war, rob and pillage ? Let them know the consequences of anarchy and mob rule. The soft touch won’t work. Hammer them.
