Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

All is going according to plan – now you’ve got Democrat congressman calling on Obama to declare martial law

gotta repeat what Colonialista said:
“.. To the jack booted thugs it does not matter how much you despise “urban culture”, “inner city youths” (or whatever the current PC term is), you are the same as the rioters. If you ain’t blue, you are the potential threat to be intimidated and brutalized under the slightest excuse. ”
in Canada too.
“gotta repeat what Colonialista said…….”
Yea, yea, not many people doubt that we now live in a Police State with “jack boot” steroid head Rambo wannabe cops looking at us all like the VC.
The point is – How did we get there?
Open Borders, Welfare dregs, epidemic drug culture, the War on Terror in the Middle East, all while we flood our communities with middle easterners (sorry – Homegrown Terrorists), yes that is how we got there.
The whole black Trayvon BS shtick is getting pretty old, since our streets are full up of Little Trayvons fueled by the same “elitist powers” that have used the Useful Idiots on the Liberal Left to perfectly set up the Police State by all the means listed above.
Piss on them all, the end result will first be anarchy in Liberal Urban centers, then if it spreads from there it’ll be civil war.
There’s no easy out of this Liberal multicultural mess now.
It won’t be Civil War because there won’t be two competing visions of the state, both vying for supremacy. It will be what Mark Steyn once referred to as “the nightmare of permanent conflict” – the Balkanization of the US.
It’ll be closer to Somalia. Think feral gangs, warlords, and large swathes of the state effectively surrendered by the authorities due to the frequency with which entire police patrols get wiped out to a man…Like modern Nigeria, Jamaica (Kingston) or the favelas of Brazil. Only far worse.
As the police militarise, so too will the opposition forces, with firepower commensurate to ensure their survival…

In the US there will be military, National Guard, and police that will abandon “The State” as well as veterans, Militia, and professionals from a variety of other sources.
I’m fairly confident that an “American insurgency” would redefine the term as it has been used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
If it breaks down enough, it will be Civil War.
To be clear though I couldn’t disagree that the majority of the country will turn feral and mimic most of the other countries you’ve mentioned. That’s what “they” are counting on. In fact preparing for, while softening the once economically and mentally strong American public.
I’m of the opinion now for everyone’s sake that sooner is better than later, well before they are “prepared” enough, while the remnants of the real American public is still strong enough to stand up to the otherwise creeping tyranny.
you guys forget that outside forces will take advantage of your scenarios. Like mex, ME and even eastern europe/russian rebels and terrorists. That will change things, if it happens, and make anarchy look like nothing.
I don’t believe in conspiracies of the type you are suggesting.
For starters, never attribute to malice what can be ascribed to hubris, intellectual arrogance and selfishness. Second, why would anyone knowingly dismantle the once-prosperous, happy and secure USA in order to replace it with something in which their own survival is far, far, far from guaranteed? Makes no sense, especially not to anyone professing to be some kind of Machiavellian evil mastermind, no?
I think what you are seeing is a cycle of statement, action, response, repeated again and again. Each round produces more chaos, uncertainty, which needs to be addressed by ever-increasingly arrogant and over-bearing apparatchiks in order to keep a lid on “civil society”.
Witness the cycle of militarization of US police forces, followed by increasingly hot rhetoric form their opponents…

I not sure what type of “conspiracy” you think I’m suggesting.

You’ll need to ask Mao, Lenin, Pol Pot, or Trotsky a few among a list too long to recite here.
Nation grabbing either from abroad or from within is an old game, we see it happening in the Ukraine today, why do you believe that the US is exempt from “malice” and simply a circumstantial victim of “hubris, intellectual arrogance and selfishness”?
Open Borders alone should be enough to make an intelligent citizen ask what’s up with our leadership. Especially since the same leadership spends so much taxpayer money to protect foreign borders around the world.
“It won’t be Civil War because there won’t be two competing visions of the state, both vying for supremacy”.
Yeah well factions are beginning to appear..
For Starters TEA, OWS….then there is a growing polarization of red and blue states…
Most do not understand that the WAR OF NORTHERN AGGRESION in the 1860’s was more or less truly a war between the states….in effect demoncrats versus republicans….
Others call it a triumph of the military industrial complex….
I figure any who think they understand it has not been properly briefed.

Agreed, there is also the side(s) of tyranny verses freedom, operating outside of Red verses Blue.
Of course EVERYONE claims to be on the side of “freedom”, but in practice it’ll be Progressive Martial Law and UN mandates verses the people.
A political fog of war has confused the public as to who is the “good guy” and who is the bad, easily confounding the useful idiots on the Liberal Left, but also on the Right as well.
Political sides will eventually be more distinctly drawn, but it may very well be a borderless Civil War between the State verses the People.
At this juncture, there is no doubt the People would win hands down, but what about later?
There will be two sides.
Makers versus takers.
Or if the makers lose, it will be takers versus takers.
Either way it falls.
The take is currently so high that makers recognize they are being punished for productive behaviour.
Lying stealing and protecting this behaviour is rewarded by the state.
Tribalism is growing, as the state, these posing police being a good example, lose all concept of civil society.
This is just the beginning.. enjoy.
Civil society is an ideal, an illusion that depends upon the roles being played with sufficient conviction to convince the fools and bandits.
I guess if we value the wealth and security that living within this illusion bring, we will have to convince the idiots of the error of their thieving ways.
However the enemy state must be recognized, as a government full of fools and bandits, also known as a kleptocracy is the open enemy of productive people.
These parasites will commit every crime, sink below any known ethical low to maintain their grip on the public teat.
Just look to the absolute terror and horror from our Federal Liberals at being kicked to 3rd party status.
H.Christ, john robertson, is it that bad?
I seen it as such briefly, but not continuous.
Anyway illusion can be a good thing.
