  5. I do take a “balanced and principled” approach to the Middle East: I support Israel.
    So, as a matter of fact, do Saudi Arabia and Egypt, though they may not be too happy about doing so.
    Have we reached the 5%-of-popuation level yet, where Muslims start becoming a threat and a hazard?
    Mulcair and Justin seem to be outdoing themselves as Muslim-huggers. Well, I sent my donation to the CPC a couple
    of weeks ago, and I’ll be sending another one before Christmas. As Justin has pretty much said that he intends
    to implement NEP II on the backs of the West, and Mulcair will help him no doubt if they are in a coalition, …

    I notice that Mike Crawley is listed in Wikipedia as current President of the Liberal Party of Canada. One of his
    accomplishments is founding a wind power company. Talleyrand said that society is divided into the shearers and
    the shorn, and that a person desiring power must always side with the former. I guess Justin has read his Talleyrand.

  6. Mulcair is concerned about the “unacceptable level” of civilian casualties. Has the NDP defined the acceptable level of civilian casualties for conflicts like these? Have they defined “civilian” in a conflict where combatants are not uniformed soldiers? If “no one can remain unmoved” by the casualties, why is there not similar outrage by the NDP in Syria and Iraq? Criticism and opposition are easy, policy with real world consequences are what separate the leaders from the scripted actors.

  7. Memo to the Honourable Thomas Mulcair: Those who would seek a diplomatic solution to naked military aggression have already lost the war to the aggressors.
    The Palistinians have had numerous opportunities over the last eighty years to accept a two state solution. They are only interested in a single solution, the elimination of Israel. As the only democratic state in the Mid-East, Israel should not have to worry about opposition parties in other Western democracies siding with the Palistinians on supposed humanitarian grounds. If Mulcair was a statesman, rather than a second rate politician trolling for votes, he would understand that democracy is not something that can be granted or gifted to the downtrodden and oppressed. Democracy must be fought for, and forever after defended. Western society has been evolving democracy since the era of the Greeks, in that time we have shed untold oceans of blood. The politicians that would pressure Israel into an agreement on humanitarian grounds are being duped. Hamas, Boko Harem, Al Qaeda, Taliban, et al are all fingers on the same hand, and their ultimate goal is the strangle Western Society. They have been trying to accomplish this for the last fourteen hundred years and politicians that fail to recognize this should resign from political office in the West and try and preach democracy in the oppressed sectors of the globe. Good Luck with that.

Mully is simply following his socialist bible.Trudeau isn’t far behind, watch for it, in fact he’s already given us plenty of evidence he’s with the Commie states and prays with those who preach hatred against Jews and Christians. If that’s what these jackasses want in their parties voters have clear choices, are they for or against a strong Canada that lives by the tenets we were built upon and our forefathers fought for.

  9. Well said Antenor. When will all of the civilized world realize the ideology (not religion) of Islamism, whatever its stripe or location, is the enemy to all? When will we stop playing footsies with meglomaniacal killers and their corrupt apologists hiding, in every sense, behind their civilians?
    This blind spot on the left over Israel is troubling.
    Obviously nobody likes casualties but let’s face the facts. There are two sacrificial lambs being offered up: The Israelis as the clear target for extermination by their enemies, and the Palestinian people trapped in the Gaza and elsewhere by their supposed Arab friends, who have no use for them other than as propaganda tools, who have done more to keep them in poverty and despair than “the Zionists” could or would ever want.

  12. There’s a civil war going on within the federal NDP. Thus far, the Mulcair approach has been similar to that of the government. However, the extreme left within the Dippers was manifestly unhappy with that, as manifested by Beaches MP Matt Kellway, urban affairs critic, early last week.
    So yes, Mulcair is getting squeezed between what’s right and what’s necessary to keep the party together. Make no mistake, this is a wedge issue for them, and the problem the Dippers have is that the more they move to the left the more they leave mainstream Canadians on this issue. Their response will inevitably be more strenuous attacks on the government for its policy of what they call “bullhorn diplomacy” to try to deflect attention from their own very serious internal divisions.

    Not quite,only at 3.5 % so far, but give ’em a few more years.Justin has promised to increase family class immigration,so it won’t take long.
    The NDP is going back to third place next November, maybe 40 seats if they’re lucky. Dippers are like Liberals, will follow anyone they see as popular and-or attractive.
    Mulcair is going to witness a lot of young NDP’ers vote for Mr.hair and teeth.

    cgh, I suspect that not all Liberals are enamored with the empty chair Trudeau’s coziness with Muslims and the crooked chiefs either. A Liberal friend of mine is not happy about this.

  15. Ken, you’re right. Where do we think the Harper majority government came from? A whole load of disgruntled former Liberal voters, that’s who. Appearances to the contrary, Chretien was conservative enough in his views to keep at least some hold on mainstream Canada. It was Martin who represented a shift to the left for the Libs, a tendency which grew under each of his successors, Dion, Iggy and now Shiny Pony.
    And at each shift, the number of deserters from the Liberal cause grew. And the result has been the annihilation of Liberal vote in rural and small town Canada. Shiny Pony is simply ponying up more of the same and twice as hard, so the disenchantment of right-side-of-the-Party Liberals will only get worse.
    And the Libs don’t like getting wedgied any more than the Dippers do.

  17. Canada sends $67,000,000.00 in foreign aid to the Palestinians annually, 1.3%o of its total budget, substantially more than any other region in the middle east. For example, Egypt and Iraq both receive approx. $10million in aid. Mulclair does not have much of a platform.

    And they wonder why Saskatchewan has refused to elect an NDP M.P.
    Calgary, we are told by SunnewsTV, now has about 10 percent Muslims.
    That would explain why the pro-Hamas demonstrators attacked and beat
    men and women across the street demonstrating for Israel.
    It is also explains why so many jihadi terrorists are coming out of
    Calgary, to fight in Iraq and Syria, and trained to do the same here,
    too.
    The Clash of Civilizations is being played out in Canada now, too.
    It’s due to fed. immigration policy.

    I take no comfort at all from your theory that there are conservative leaning Liebels still within that party. They are already well established within the CPC. What was the PC Party of Canada led by Joe Clark other than a Liebel Party spinoff.
    Bottom line is that Ontario will vote for Turdeau as they see him as their meal ticket out of the debt they have racked up under another Liebel provincial government. Yes another NEP II will come simply to accelerate the already excessive flow of wealth to the east. If the Harper experiment in Ottawa goes down in flames, as I suspect, I doubt the West will stand for another raping.
    What Harper has built can be easily destroyed and it will. The flaky economics of the Liebel Party will reassert. During NEP I drilling was abandoned so the Libels started a program where tax breaks were given based on feet drilled. Very logical and very productive. Not!

McGill University’s entrance requirements had nothing to do with the hatred of Quebeckers for Jews, except in the sense that Jews had to try to get into McGill because the French Catholic colleges refused to take them. McGill was constituted as a Protestant institution, intended for Protestants. For that reason they wanted the mass of the student body to be Protestant and had restrictions on how many students of other religions they would accept. Hatred of Jews had nothing to do with it; Jews only went to McGill in the first place because they weren’t hated there.
