Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Once again an upset Canadian takes a gentle approach to identify Foreign corruption of Canada’s Sovereignty. Cheers;
Can Canada’s PM, HARPER turn the “TIDES”?
The time has come for PM Harper to take the lead by imposing an export tax on our oil going south so that there is no American profit made by discounting the price of our oil.
Naturally this will lead to the US filing a request for a NAFTA panel. But these things take months to reach a decision. (Maybe until Obama’s term of office expires.) If 20% of US oil is suddenly raised to world prices with the loss of these discounts, it will throw the market into turmoil. This will focus this idiot’s attention on something other than so-called environmental concerns.
Let the trendy Hollywood environmentalists find out just how dependant the entire US is on oil and it’s distillates. We’re losing something like $50-billion per year because we don’t have an outlet to the ocean.
the government should override every group and that includes the scoc when it comes to insuring that we are prosperous year round and warm in the winter. if the people in BC hate Canada so much that they are unwilling to participate in the economy then override them. if the Indians are tired of getting everything for nothing then cut them off and override them. build a pipeline west and east and to hell with the idiots and morons who think we can survive as a country without trade and oil.
We don’t impose an export tax.We shut the damn tap off.TIDES is a foreign entity operating in our country.Freeze their assets and shut them down.Drastic? Nope.Common dog f@@k when you are trying to protect your country.Oh.And don’t lose sight of the fact that the biggest threats to Canada right now are the eco-freaks and our own politicions. They make the muzzies look like kindergarten flunkies.
That’s something I dont understand, why, as a country, we dont stick it to the Americans and take a stand.
Are we afraid of being invaded?
Our left would have a difficult decision, they hate Americans, but they hate PMSH….who would they side with?
At least the taps arent being shut off.
Vivian Krause feels that American money coming into Canada to fund anti oil groups is environmentally motivated. She has done great work exposing the flow of this money but I suggest a even more ominous intent.
Land locking Canadian oil production forces Canada to subsidize the American market which dictates price to an extent but also the volume. IMHO Canada could/should be producing 7-8 million bpd of crude instead of the 3.3 million bpd we do currently. Every Canadian should understand what that would mean to our country financially. It would obviously support the social welfare system that we currently are building through debt. More significantly it would afford Canada a more independent foreign and trade policy. A more independent Canada scares the USA and that is why their money is being used to thwart Canadian oil development.
Krause states she has not found evidence of Saudi or Russian involvement. It should be noted her research is done by filings that non-profits and endowments must make public. When Harper visited Israel some months ago a email that Israeli intelligence intercepted from a Saudi prince to the King was released. The email outlined the threat that increased Canadian oil production represented to the Saudi government. If the Saudi’s feel threatened then how could the Russians feel any different?
If these fears have any basis then how could we think that foreign money will not be used to influence the upcoming Federal election. It will be used and the CPC had better realize this.
Yeah Vivian Krause has been doing her homework.
Where is the money coming from? Silly question.
Give yer head a good shake.
Opportunity and motive.
The only elements with the resources to fund are also those with a motive.
In fact those elements would be incredibly stupid not to…..Russia, OPEC, US big oil, Berkshire Hathaway (Buffet), to name a few.
Even Norway with declining oil revenue has a motive.
It is probable/logical that the fackable shale beneath the Ukraine fuels(pun) the Russia/Ukraine aggression. Developed by an independent Ukraine it would be strong competition….under Russian control an incredibly valuable asset.
Agreed. I believe that the Conservative government should declare that the Northern Gateway pipeline to be an essential piece of infrastructure to Canada’s national interest, on a par with the CPR and Trans-Canada Highway, and that any entity attempting to thwart its construction is therefore engaged in sedition.

Doesn’t much matter what the government does, the Indians have been handed the keys to the gate of pipeline development.
It’s certainly not a stretch to infer that TIDES money was also involved achieving this Supreme Court decision. Those who won were reported to be shocked with their victory.
SUNNews has waved red flags as to what this could lead to in BC-look what’s been going on in Caledonia.
