This Is Not Your Grandma’s Humane Society

One man’s basketball team is another man’s Basset Hound;

I’m not bothered that people say idiotic things; I’m bothered that individuals are losing their jobs or having something they own taken away from them because their opinion rubs against the grain. In my view, Sterling is a jerk, but being a jerk isn’t a felony, nor is it a crime that demands his property be confiscated. As dog fanciers and purebred dogs owners, we should be very concerned about these reactions. We above all people should defend the rights of our fellow citizens to be stupid, ignorant, or hold viewpoints at odds with society because we very well could be targeted next.
Wait. We already are.

  1. Sterling, ah yes, good to see one of these lefties get eaten by their own:-)))))
    Oh yah, one of those lefty Joos who tend to disproportionately vote for idiots like obumbles.

  2. Every idiotic cause has its champions. Not that long ago they were ignored or given little more than lip service, but as we continue to worship political correctness with the ultimate goal being socialist nirvana and conformity it seems that even the dumbest causes are to be applauded as noble ventures for the good of humanity. Only groupthink is now permitted and personal opinions are to be shunned as they might impact some victim….somewhere, which would undoubtedly hurt someones feelings. Sterling was entitled to his opinion as were the others mentioned and dog breeders are entitled to their labor of love just as realists are entitled to to call out the global warming scam for the idiocy it is. Except for the part where we are bucking the groupthink. We are well down that slippery slope where everyone is minding other people’s business and the wingnuts without a life of their own dominate the mainstream media. More and more we are learning the 1984 was not a novel, it was a look at the future and that future is now. We can still think what we like but better keep our mouth shut because free speech is already too far down that slippery slope to be salvaged.

  3. The only peaceful remedy; A tax on do-gooders designed to wake them up or drive them out of your community.
    Or open carry and the old code.
    The fact that none of our politicians respect or champion property rights, bodes ill for all property owners.
    The SPCA are fools and bandits, but they feel so good about their do-gooding.
    Animals(The disney version) are better than men.

  4. The writer Susi is right. What is going on today is like feeding the alligator or like watching Hitler and Lenin go after first one group and then another until finally he went after you and your freedoms.
    “More and more we are learning the 1984 was not a novel,…”. Oh, that is so true, and it came like a thief in the night while we were sleeping a little at a time.
    Sterling is a moron for saying what he did, but sometime soon they will come after me for saying I go to church.

  5. “soon they will come after me for saying I go to church.”
    Not far fetched anymore. I guess it depends if you are going to the church that’s approved by the masters of political correctness. Atheism and gay pride events seem to have a higher approval rating than Christianity with the left.

  6. Since the subject of “property rights” has been broached…. I suspect most Canadians do not know that “property rights” are not enshrined in our Canadian Constitution..
    I AM Joe Molnar, and I would willingly make an attempt to get those “rights” enshrined by collecting signatures all across Canada, so that the Harper Government would have to pay attention to MILLIONS of Canadians demanding those “rights” be enshrined……
    Here is the petition, below
    //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////PETITION TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS
    IN PARLIAMENT ASSEMBLED
    We, the undersigned citizens of Canada draw the attention of the House to the following: THAT : as individual Citizens of Canada WE do NOT enjoy the protection of “PROPERTY RIGHTS” within the Constitution of Canada ! hence, THE LAW of Canada!
    THEREFORE: Your petitioners call upon Parliament to forthwith, incorporate and entrench FOREVER , individual “PROPERTY RIGHTS” INTO THE CONSTITUTION OF CANADA well as amending OR ABOLISHING THE Canadian Senate!!
    ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
    But I need amodest camper on loan for the duration of my walk, I cannot afford one on my fixed income, so I need a multi-millionaire (who believes in my mission) to provide a place (modest camper) to shower, eat and sleep,during my walk collecting those millions of Canadian signatures………… for “PROPERTY RIGHTS” IN CANADIAN LAW!
