    The guy made the mistake of retaliating. Just like the ref that misses the cheap shot and sees the response, the cops saw him fighting the psychologically challenged woman. But do not worry, they were both released, so she is back on the street to randomly attack anew.
    There are some people that need to be removed from society for their own good. We used to have mental hospitals, asylums and sanitoriums. Now instead of putting psychologically ill in a relatively safe asylums, they are put into jails and prisons with the criminals. Or they fall through the cracks and die in the streets.

  5. Lot’s of fights downtown Calgary, I’ve witnessed many, got involved in one trying to break it up, never again. Mass Transit can be a very scary place. Expect and come prepared for anything, personally I carry a knife.

  8. As a trained neurophysiology tech in a former life I am quit sure that woman was having a Temporal lobe seizure and needs to see a neurologist. Individuals with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy can become very aggressive following a seizure. I experienced aggression on more than one occasion from individuals with this condition.

  9. A figure four wrist lock on the girl would have stopped her cold. After all, she left it there long enough. And it would have constituted reasonable force with no bruising or breakage. And when the police showed up, give them the video – case closed, and crazy incarcerated.

  10. As a Registered Neurophysiology tech I have seen a lot of seizures in my lifetime. I am quite sure this woman is having either a Frontal Or Temporal Lobe seizure. The aggressive behavior is not unusual after such an event. This person needs to see a Neurologist. I see she is being fined $500 for public fighting and so is the fellow she attacked .
    I once worked with a patient who had a seizure and fell on his Aunt during the episode. The poor sucker ended up in jail . You can imagine his confusion.

    Alberta just had a female worker killed by a bear on an oilsands job-site. Bears wandering all over, according to the MSM, and no thought of protecting workers. Proof the Loonies are in charge

  15. A woman of any race going nuts selects at random a man of any race and attacks him without provocation and the police don’t show up until after she has turned away and he has started a retaliatory attack and the police officers (of any race) will do just what you saw them do in that video.

  16. The story goes on to say that they BOTH got fine $500 for fighting in public. He will probably pay and she will not. She will continue to live without her meds until her life ends in a tragic, early death, possibly. It would be nice if he could get the charges dropped – probably won’t happen.

    I also try to avoid being arrested by police for assault. It is expensive, as I end up paying an attorney lots of money, possibly serving jail/prison time, being sued by crazy lady, and in the US, lose my gun rights. Along with being fired by my employer right f’n now. (FACT, It happened to a colleague, and in an at-will employment rule state, he was SOL).
    If the guy had broke her arm, decked her, or put her in an arm bar when she attacked him, that would be reasonable and therefore justifiable self-defense. After she stopped the attack, and WALKED AWAY his CHASING HER, retaliation and punching her is now assault by him.
    And what did the cops see? A man attacking a woman by the door. The cops put them both in cuffs and hauled them away. Surprised she was cuffed, but I bet the local cops know her as a crazy. Luckily he did not get tazed, shot or suffocated by a pig-pile of cops all yelling “Stop Rsisting!” as they punch and kick him as they dislocate his shoulder, elbow and wrist while cuffing him. Which happens in the US way too often (street justice).
    You accused Rita and I of partisanship when we stated facts. I saw how the US Community Mental Health Act, progressives and the ACLU gutted our mental health system. When people like Mayor Guiliani tried to get NYC homeless into treatment in the 90’s, the ACLU blocked NYC from committing them.
    When a family member had an episode last year, the nearest open mental health hospital bed was 300 miles away. The other 3-5 facilities were full. Luckily there was an open bed. After Obamacare gets going, there won’t be. But the care will be free, and worth every penny.

  20. I think the person filming the psychotic bitch was friends with her and knew the attack was going to take places ala “chill she is just possessed” because who really just films people randomly with their phones for no reason.
    I got attacked once on the C-Train, defended myself and knocked the other guy out and left at the next station. The last thing I wanted to do was be hauled in by transit cops for minding my own business and protecting myself.
    Regarding how police conduct themselves. My parents taught me, always be polite to Police, show them respect, but don’t think for a minute you can trust them.

  21. rd’s assessment is correct. She walked away, so -under the law- the man is not entitled to go after her.
    Reality, obviously he’s going to go smack her head, she just delivered an unprovoked attack on him and might be going to go start on somebody else. No matter, she needed a kicking. That’s Reality.
    But the law is not reality. The law is a game made up by @ssh0les to keep you and I under their thumbs. You can’t win, so don’t play.
    The important take-home from this is the cops are not on your side. They are there to hand out fines and generally stomp the living h3ll out of anybody they don’t like the looks of.
    Plan accordingly.
    My plan is not to be on the same subway car (or airplane!) as an obvious lunatic. I observe the people in my car, and if they look funny I change trains. Its nerve wracking and tiring, but I have yet to be caught napping like that guy in the video was.
    I avoid the problem by driving everywhere. Mass transit sucks. Airplanes suck even more, some of the lunatics are wearing uniforms.
    I fully approve Robert of Ottawa’s rolled up magazine. It is a trick I’ve used to good effect myself. It helps a lot if you -practice- with it too. The very best thing about it is you can’t be arrested for having a magazine in your possession, particularly when you UNROLL IT before the cops get there.
    Lying down on the floor and moaning in pain will also help your chances at avoiding getting put in the hospital by the cops. They’re looking for an excuse to bust you up. Don’t give them one.

  22. The person videoing this event states clearly on her Facebook page that she’d observed the girl acting strangely, and then she recorded her. She was questioned after the event by the city bylaw officers, who saw the recording.
    Nobody else mentioned this event possibly being staged, nor that she was a friend, nor that she was possibly, “a creep”. She did have her phone on though, creepy behavior?
    People very commonly have their phones out on the trains, as it’s not so exciting after the 100th or so time taking the same trip home. Everyone seems to be a video-ographer these days.
    Also note that the transit police are always on the trains somewhere. I see them everyday.
    I don’t think the guy that was attacked was correct in biding his time, waiting until the girl had walked away. If he’d stood his ground, perhaps only responding with 1:1 punches back at the girl, he’d have a case for simply defending himself and not be charged with fighting.
    Yes I know it was a girl he’d be punching. Women are equal, for the most part.

    I don’t take any public transit anymore. Its my bottom of the barrel hell hath frozen over last resort and as for flying, I’m happy I get the luxury of private jet travel through my employer.
    Incidentally, A retired cop once told me the worst of the department either get assigned to the airport.

  26. Well, they did save a lot of money by shutting down the nut houses and pretending these “special” people can cope with everyday life. They even get their own day to celebrate mental illness (Oct.10) although I’m not sure what they’re celebrating. Frontal Lobotomies were quite common in the 50’s and very effective against aggression. Ahhh, the good ‘ol days, when common sense ruled and fudge packing was still a noble profession.

  33. Yeah, it’s called a solar plexis shot. It momentarily paralyses the diaphragm….leaving the subject totally vulnerable, helpless for further attention (recommended)…the subjects on recovery usually shift into real berserk mode.
    Easy deployed…..a minor feint to the face leaves the target area exposed. It works on everything from LEOs, to martial artists and especially on bar-room thugs.

    It can take a minute or two to process….
    It’s easy to defend or retaliate if ya know what’s happenin’…..not so easy if’n ya don’t.
    That’s why they make us lock up our firearms there and our ammo there…..
    In most cases of successful self defence…..you are deemed to have premeditated….
    It’s not so much as ya can’t win….it’s ya lose even if’n ya win….
