  1. We can only imagine how difficult it must be for people like Redford to decouple from the trough.
    OINK OINK BABY.

  2. I suppose having a mental breakdown of some sort due to losing most of your privileges and having to drive your daughter everywhere instead of having her take gov’t aircraft is a valid reason.
If she’s not representing anyone in her constituency due to all the Dr. visits, that’d be reason enough to ask someone (like maybe the current temporary Premier?) to have their representative replaced.
    Fair question…
I’m not even angry about her air jaunts. It’s the spending of her entire gov’t that’s sinking us. It’s the existence of the current gov’t air fleet, not her personal use of it that grinds me up. She’s only spent a few thousands on her and her daughter, maybe it’s $200,000. ? Didn’t PM. Chretien refer to this as “small town cheap”?
It’s the province’s taxpayers that are stuck with multi billion dollar deficits because of her government’s choices.

  3. ” Premier Dave Hancock said he wasn’t concerned about Redford’s lack of attendance in the house. ”
Somewhere in Alberta, Danielle Smith is smiling, then laughing, and then smiling again.

  4. Hancock and Redford are pals and Hancock ain’t gonna run for Premier.
Remember that earlier thread about the UN Human Rights Expert Rashida Manjoo?
That was Alison Redford’s exact same role when she was with the UN. Exact same job.

  5. “UN. Exact same job”
In other words she’s never worked a day in her life, but still feels entitled. Just knowing she worked for the UN should have disqualified her as anything useful. Voters are such slow learners.

  6. Well, the folks in her riding whom elected her are certainly getting what they deserve. Although the argument could be made that her absence serves Alberta far better than her presence.

  7. She certainly was a poor fit for the job. After Klein left the party was taken over by it’s red rump.

  8. What else would you expect but a fully entitled prehensile UN kleptocrat?
Putting her on the back bench is NOT good enough – and the flap made about her spending is a diversion from her real crimes/agenda – read the way the Alberta land titles act and other land use statute was altered as her first acts of office – Bill C36 IS UN agenda 21 land grab – Albertans now have a latent co-ownership of their property with the government, and the government has final authority on its dispensation – check it out –

  9. Theft is theft and should be dealt with accordingly. A kindness would be simply forcing her to repay all money spent illegitimately, loss of pension but no criminal charges. IMHO the criminal charges should be laid.
I suspect the same thing is going on inside the CPC. I remember when the Federal budget was well under $100 billion a year. Now it is far above $200 billion. I am so swamped with government services that I don’t know which to pick. Ya, right!

  10. Fully agree. I had written the “never worked a day in her life” line in my original post but figured ankle biters would come back at me and state she had run a lemonade stand as a little girl or some such pap, so I deleted that part before posting.
That Redford was the top policy advisor for PM Joe Clark should have disqualified her in Albertan’s minds, but I guess collective amnesia prevented them from remembering that Joe only lasted 6 months as PM because his policy was to govern as though he had a majority.(Red Tory estranged from reality)

  11. Hancock has just confirmed that Redford is just the tip of the iceberg.
What’s that saying? The fish rots from its head.
When’s that leadership vote again? Let’s have the election before the end of the year before this gang steals everything that isn’t nailed down.

  12. The comments at the link are certainly NOT complimentary to Redford.
This UN one-world-government trough hog has done the people of Alberta a huge favor by pissing them off so much the next entitled politician will think twice before trying to steal taxpayer’s money.
Let her collect EI while she’s off work, like everyone else. She might be enlightened by having to live on $400 bucks a week for a while.

  13. Rumour has it that she is slinging drinks in the ‘after hours bar’ for retired MLA’s. Tips are supposed to be good.
About as much chance of criminal charges here as there was with the Liebel brown bag exchanges back in Queerbec. There should be mass protests infront of the legislature in Edmonton but somehow I doubt that happens either.

  14. Hancock’s hall pass for princess
Bet Raj Sherman woes the day he left the PC’s
    ….move along

  15. I believe this can be best described by the analogy of children in the sandbox, “if you won’t let me make up the rules for the game then I’m not going to play with you.”
