Rising Threat of International War
With the Western economies turning down and no hope in hell no surviving the pension crisis, war is needed to escape the broken economic promises. This is a sad statement to even have to make. But the majority are just a herd of sheep and cannot see past the rear-end of the lamb in front of them.
Pax Romana did not bring peace. Nor did ‘integration’ bring comfort and security. Enviable living brought cohesiveness of purpose. When conformity (uniform purpose) no longer breeds advancement it will be abandoned.

Profound Rob. When you realize that the US and French revolutions were won by less than 10% of the population (the rest in a mish mash of expedient sympathies which they held only to escape self endangerment or wealth loss) you can see how only a small number of motivated/organized patriots can overthrow a parasitic, oppressive ruling elite – It’s a mistake the political elite will never allow again – thus they intimidate/indoctrinate the sheep more thoroughly and keep patriots preoccupied fighting amongst themselves over petty partisan distractions.
Without the distraction of the phony left right paradigm and the realization that the only distinction in governing types is self governance (freedom) or tyranny (authoritarian crony oligarchic governance) it becomes apparent who the real enemies of mankind are – it isn’t your fellow tax slaves who have been pressure-fed statist koolade – it is those serving/disguising the koolade and plundering those under its influence.

Robert is right (whether he’s from Ottawa or not). The writer of this piece is close to illiterate, and the quality of his “arguments” is a reflection of his ability to reason. Which is too bad, because the world really is a dangerous place today, and people ought to realize it. But this isn’t serious analysis and can’t be taken seriously.
Crutical?

Don’t be too quick to dismiss the message. War is the last resort but greatest economic driver for any country that’s in a economic death spiral, but with the potential to win. Resets all obligations, full employment, eliminates all entitlements and replaces public entitlement expectations with gratitude for basic soup kitchens. With the proper setup it revitalizes national pride and with the right enemy, our own political elite will once again bask in the glory of being perceived as valuable leaders in times of hardship. All based on the presumption that we win and that we have the proper strawman for a enemy. A few million dead is a small price to pay on either side as long as the end result is accomplished. Just think, debt free with more than 100 trillion in unfunded liabilities wiped clean. Think of a grateful nation of sheep applauding the fact they won and the losers begging for small mercies for generations to come. Just food for thought and nukes are a wild card but war has always been good business for the winners. Somewhere in government circles there are people weighing the options. The temptation must be enormous when all the alternatives show a superpower going off the economic cliff. Time will tell, but I’m inclined to believe Orwell’s 1984 was never fiction. It was a true vision of the future.

Silly article. I loved his line that “economic power is mightier than the sword.” Yeah good one. Anyone who thinks they can detect a “cycle” that predicts wars, markets or human behaviour in general is kidding themselves. Who could have predicted 9-11 10 years before it happened, and the resultant war? Wars are caused by a lot of things, yes with economics at the core. Japan knew they were the economic inferior of the US, but attacked anyway. Some say alliances cause war; maybe they do. Then again it could be argued NATO kept the world out of nuclear war.
Anyone who bases investment decisions on crystal ball poppycock like this deserves to lose their money.
