The American Left thinks that Jimmy Carter is a fine old boy. Not everyone in Venezuela is as supportive:
Please, desist from your trip: you have absolutely no credibility in Venezuela.
Your last actions in Venezuela have had disastrous results for the democracy here. When these became obvious you remained strangely silent for years, and only suddenly you wake up again.
I can assure you that half of the country has no respect nor credibility for you and the other half thinks you are a mere fool that they can use and discard as needed.
I think that not only you should desist from your trip, but should never mention us again. You have cursed us enough as it is. We will appreciate your future silence since nothing good ever comes from your statements on Venezuela. Worry not, I am sure we will find more worthy mediators.

It’s hard to comment about an old fool.
Only the most diehard mentally ill liberals can see this special peanut as having any value to society. Watch now after this he’ll be joining Piers Morgan and Yanukovych on Justin Turdeau’s campaign management team.
Scary thing is that they might win.
I bet people wonder why he is often mentioned as the worst president in US history. At least with Obama, that label is gone.
Americas “Joe Clark” that Jimmy Carter is. Way to stupid, to understand that him and Clark are way to stupid. Neither fool could lead a one man parade. A perfect fit for the lefttie liberal ilk.
He has to do something for attention.
Thanks to the Zero, he has lost his title of most useless president ever.
I wonder if he’ll get a bigger tax break if takes Sean Penn along.
BTW, where is Madonna’s ex boy toy these days, possibly cleaning up house after the civil war blew through?
Carter could be useful. They should ask for his advice and then do the exact opposite.
Carter is, as far as we know, the only American President – and very probably the only human person – ever to have lost a throwdown to a bunny rabbit.
It’s worth noting that Daniel Duquenal is closer to the Democrats in the USA than the Republicans, (he’s virtually sworn to never support the Republicans) it’s the tyranny of the chavistas that he’s always fought against.
None of the english speaking bloggers from Venezuela outside of the chavistas, have supported Jimmy Carter in any way, it’s as though the Castros from Cuba had kept him on retainer…
Did Jimmy escape from the Whispering Georgia Pines Nursing Home again?
Jimmay come on back,
we need you to monitor the Monopoly competition. .
Unfortunately for Canada, we have a 21st century version of Jimmy Carter. Like JC, JT admires “Papa” Fidel (as he called him as a boy) and the communist Chinese way of “getting things done”. I haven’t heard any praise (yet) for Chavez and his successor, but it would not surprise me. And if Venezuela were a real concern to the current US administration, they could crush it economically by approving the Keystone XL pipeline.
Carter was another guy who came out of no where to be President, & left us the Iranian problem.
The MSM was his pet too for most of his lousy Presidency.Trying to hide or make light of his endless screw ups.
If any one is interested on how life was under him. Just watch a Barney Miller episode.
The TV show reflected the malaise of the time.
Carter, extending the legacy of his presidency, continues to spread misery around the world.
Just looking at a compendum of various rankings of US presidents. Recent Democrats are absolute heroes while Nixon, who ended the Democrat’s War in Vietnam, normalized relations with China and pushed the SALT Treaties with Russia is trashed. It took the Republicans many years to heal the world from Kennedy’s brinkmanship caused by bad judgement.

Well said.
Carter should stick to picking peanuts.
Why is it that the people never become engaged in the political process until their freedoms have largely been taken away by either totally corrupt or radical leftist politicians? Venezuelans and Ukrainians seem to have woken up. Canadians not yet, as it appears that the polls favour a return to, in the person of Trudeau, of a leader that will drastically either further in-debt us, raise our taxes, as well as take away more freedoms. Americans have not yet woken up either.
Ken (Kulak) >
Agreed 100% Ken.
The thing I just can’t get my head around is why so many people can’t be bothered with the basic minimal maintenance of their society to protect their own freedoms.
