How Dare She Swim Against The Current!

What else do you expect from the denizens of Hogtown? Sophie Cunningham deserves applause, not boos, for speaking out against the risk of getting plastered onto the floor by a player who might be 50 percent bigger than her.

Sophie Cunningham tried to laugh off the boos that dogged her at Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday night.

Cunningham said in an interview with ESPN on July 21 that WNBA players shouldn’t have to play against “biological men,” referring to transgender women.

  1. Sophie is awesome.

Caitlin Clark, not so much; I lost most of my respect for her when she did that grovelling performance/apology ‘honoring’ the black female pioneers of the WNBA. It didn’t work…they still hate her.

  2. Well looks like the drama is working for them. If it wasn’t for the controversy (fueled by the media and the league), nobody would be paying attention to this high school level b-ball. At least they have progressed from losing their wigs or having rubber dildos thrown on the court.

  3. From the CP article…
“There are currently no transgender women in the WNBA or playing NCAA women’s basketball. There are fewer than 10 openly transgender people among the 500,000 student-athletes competing across all NCAA sports.”
Fewer than ten openly trans people among the 500K athletes in the NCAA.
One is too damn many, thank you kindly.
That entire article was just one long lesbo tongue bath dripping with condescension at the thought anyone would not cheer for chicks with dicks.

    1. Buzz, the Canads Press is co-run by the Totonto Starcand the Globe and Mail. So one should expect the same woke slop as from those left-wing newspapers.

  4. (((One fan carried a trans pride flag over to the pro-Cunningham supporters and faced them, holding their flag up, before continuing to the exits.)))

I suggest a SDA contest. Design your own trans pride flag.

    Here’s mine:

Any other flag on the planet that’s already established would serve the purpose. It can be a checkered flag from a car race. It could be the offical flag of Mexico. It could be the Olympic flag. It could even be those flags they put out just when they open up a new housing development.

BUT, the message is this. You emphatically insist that it is the “trans-pride flag” thus pretending that it is something that it is not.

  5. I’d rather listen to alley cats fornicate than watch MEN’S basketball.
So women’s B-ball is on a level with taunting alligators with my dangly bits.

    1. When the NBA started their ‘take a knee’ bullshit, I permanently turned them off. Looking for another source of basketball I switched to NCAA. Yeah, that lasted a coupla games before the kneeing bullshit started &, again, I turned them off. Switched to WNBA, it took one game for the kneeing bullshit to hit. Turned them off permanently, too.

      Now they can all FOAD.

      1. “Now they can all FOAD.”

I would have done the same, DB, if I watched any of that.

As it stands, the only team sport I watch is hockey…and I haven’t seen a puck drop in years now because I refuse to tune in until all the ‘land acknowledgement’ and diversity BS is done. Missed a few quick first period goals…oh well…

  6. “Cunningham said in an interview with ESPN on July 21 that WNBA players shouldn’t have to play against “biological men,” referring to transgender women.”

There’s no such thing as transgender women. Call them what they are – men pretending to be women.

  7. I lost interest in basketball after Michael Jordan retired. I figured there’s never gonna be anybody like him again, so every game will just be a disappointment to watch. And as for“King James”, well, he’s an ass.

For the record though, I love watching all the shorts on YouTube of America’s Sweetheart Sophie Cunningham.
