  1. Audry Hepburn – any relation to “Audry Hop Burn” the great craft brewed IPA? Digging up old Hollywood grave yards for inspiration is a sign the current culture is less than mediocre.

  2. Cutting edge this year is production quality in five years, home video in twenty. Humphrey Bogart will star in a feature film sometime in the next ten years, along side Marylin Munroe.
At that point we will know that Hollywood is utterly dead, and we can put up the headstone.

  3. viewing the clip I thought how utterly “plastic” they seamed back then. Read the article, and incredible how far “programing” has come. Real AI, just around the corner.

  4. Yawn. So I had to watch an ad first before I watched an ad of Audry Hepburn eating chocolates…? Did you miss the release of Avatar four years ago?

  5. They have certainly captured the luminous Audrey of the Fifties.
Hey, who needs all those petulant, ego-obsessed live actors with their inane notions when we can just summon up stars digitally?

  6. I really liked Audrey but did they have to reincarnate her as a gold digger and a thief
just to sell their chocolate ? I mean, the bus was delayed for 5 min. at the most. The first man pulls up in a Mercedes and gives her the eye, which is enough to evacuate the bus, steal the drivers hat and ride off with a potentially married man or even serial killer. Would she have done that if prince charming drove a beat up Renault and was 40 lbs overweight ? I suggest not, but am thoroughly enjoying turning a mole hill into a mountain. Actually I thought it was a great add. She could have at least offered the bus driver a little piece for swiping his hat. She did show the genetic markers of being a nymphomaniac and kleptomaniac. Better known as a f*cking thief. Did I mention great ad ?

  7. Great technology, but you just KNOW some day it’ll result in ,”Brokeback Mountain 2″, starring John Wayne and Bob Mitchum.

  8. Holy Cow,who crapped in your cereal this morning? Besides the fact that the technology is amazing, this is nothing more than a rendition of an old classic love/romance/whimsey theme. People on ads or even movies don’t always act like normal people. It’s called acting. And lets not forget it is a commercial too.

  9. Agree, T. C.
I wish I hadn’t read the comments. Where are the people who once knew how to appreciate beauty and grace, even in a commercial?

  10. OK, ok, I take it all back. I really liked Audrey and like I said, I enjoyed the ad. A good commercial is worthy of discussion (there are so few) and in that respect it looks like a complete success. Money well spent. I still think she should have offered the bus driver a piece of chocolate though:-) I mean, she did steal his hat, and Audrey was a lady with class. Damn…there I go again….just can’t help stirring the pot a little more. Fun.

  11. C’mon peterj, everyone knows that serial killers don’t drive Mercedes convertibles, (though megalomaniac dictators do prefer MB limousines).
It is a remarkable technical achievement. I’m bracing myself for the heirs to JFK, Pierre Trudeau and Martin Luther King jumping on the new gravy train that has been created.

  12. Just imagine justin debating the old man and taking up contrary positions. Saying he supports Alberta’s against the NEP. Little Hadrian in the background playing with Mattel mega blocks , justin saying no more takeover of Canadian companies

  13. I recall some time back that Hank jr did an overdub duet(music video) with his dad about thirty odd years after Hank Williams passed on in the backseat of his chauffeured Caddy on new years day 1953.
As for me, I fell in love with Audrey Hepburn as a young lad when she was at her career peak and the love affair has never left me. She is Class and even Jackie Kennedy, another classy lady would benefit from Miss Hepburn’s style when she entered the spotlight beside her oversexed husband JFK.
There are a lot of beautiful women out there from both past and present and some very accomplished ones but I can think of no other that has or had that certain flair that Miss Hepburn was blessed with.
As for Hollywood…well I’d have to say that what passes for modern film offerings doesn’t hold a candle to their past releases.
Someone said it years ago that Hollywood died when the accountants took over from the artists. Perhaps there’s a little truth in that!
