From a letter to the editor at The Independent (UK):
There is a longstanding tradition of naming extreme weather events such as hurricanes and typhoons. Perhaps the time has come for scientists to give them more relevant titles and name them after the malicious pundits, politicians and media whose actions have prevented the world from taking the necessary steps to fight this worsening catastrophe faced by the whole of humanity.

The eco-nuts’ “opinions” are like pitchforks. Don’t ever forget it.
Update: The comments thread is now working.

We’ll get all those evil people who deny climate science just as soon as climate science becomes scientific. How’s that, Davey?
Opinions such as those expressed in those letters are one of the reasons it may be prudent to own firearms.
…and ammo. Lots of ammo.
That’s my thought, too, whenever I read these “You’re going to pay“-type comments from the greenies.
Would this include the current record streak of a running 4-year period wherein a Cat4 Hurricane has not hit the US mainland? Or perhaps he is referring to the current lowest incidents of tornados in four decades?
Dam, dam, dam, I’m so sorry. Those pesky little facts do not support the acceptable dialog and are therefore language non grata. My bad….
A spokesman for Dr. Suzuki, said that he did not mean the statement to be taken literally.
“He’s not advocating locking people up, but he is pulling his hair out.”
If Dr. Suzuki is pulling his hair out,he should be locked up under the Mental Health act.
Then:
““What I would challenge you to do is to put a lot of effort into trying to see whether there’s a legal way of throwing our so-called leaders into jail because what they’re doing is a criminal act” . . . ”

Now:
“A spokesman for Dr. Suzuki, said that he did not mean the statement to be taken literally.
“He’s not advocating locking people up . . . “.

See, he’s not really advocating for it.
He’s more, like, calling for a very intensive study of any way with which it might be done. With maybe a nice instruction manual at the end.
(Doesn’t this implicitly convey his agreement that, if the science actually turns out to be what he stridently and insultingly denies it to be, it would be he who should be tried and convicted and jailed?)
I just saw a weather channel video, they were discussing the latest ice/snow storm to hit the south.
They kept mentioning PAX. I kept wondering what some airport had to do with the storm. Then they mentioned storm Pax. Ah…they sounded like a bunch of wienies.
