  1. My wife and her niece have left this morning for Texas to visit her nephew. He loves Texas and Bill Whittle is right on. Her nephew has lots of guns and uses them to kill the odd rattler that comes to his pool or as his wife of Mexican background has done to warn incoming strangers off their land. Their biggest worry as we see in Calgary and Edmonton is incoming liberals that will do to their state or province what they have done to where they came from.

  2. “I can’t believe they let you do that”
    Says it all really.
What is not permitted is FORBIDDEN.
Time for a tax on all do-gooders,hall monitors and other useless state lovers.
    An interesting observation, property rights.
Personal property rights will never be supported by career kleptocrats.
Property rights and contract law are the two most vital conditions for individual freedom from state sanctioned theft.
Notice how silent all our politicians are on these topics?
Perhaps it is time to have liberals sign a pledge of behaviour or turn them back to the desolate economic wastelands they are fleeing.
Their “superior wisdom” created these blights, let them harvest the seed they sowed.

  3. “the biggest worry we see is…” is bang on. People that come to areas that are prospering because the area is prospering should not vote for several elections. If they don’t acclimatize to the views of the prosperous area then their votes will inevitably cause the prosperous zone to drown and fail. Which then raises the question of how voting power should be split.
Universal franchise is doomed in the long term by LIV who poison the well. I favour a multiple choice test on each provincial/federal ballot. Take five or six total issues. The party or individuals running between all of them develop 2 or 3 total responses and determine which response best fits them. Each ballot has 3 of the agreed upon questions (in random order). If you disagree with your candidate on two out of three issues then your vote for them is nullified. It’s not perfect, but it’s the simplest way I’ve heard of to keep the truly clueless from deciding the fate of the nation. What other ideas does the group think would work?

    Exactly!
The leave their own little sh*tpile because there’s no work and no hope, to create the same damned sh*tpile in their new homes.
    Parasites!

  5. Had that very thing happen on Texada Island in BC. some years ago. People moved to Texada to make it like the place they didn’t like and as a result, left. I’m not sure that Texada didn’t recognize the threat and nip it in the bud.

  6. For some reason folks seem to like being told what to do and how to do it. Strange that, especially coming from a person that has a hard time being told what to do UNLESS the person doing the telling ACTUALLY KNOWS MORE ABOUT IT THAN I DO. Seems many of the tellers really haven’t got a clue, just feel they have the authority.

  7. California = Ontario.
Only difference is that California, as crazy as it is, can still use pesticides.

  8. Bill whittle’s commentary is a throwback to everything that was right with the country. Nice country we had there. Pity that something happened to it. Activists never quit and there are still many freedoms that must be removed. Rest assured that there is no shortage of bureaucrats working tirelessly to make sure we lose them. For our own good of course, or that favorite stand by,…….think of the children. Bet you can still play with real lawn darts in Texas or (heaven forbid) ride a bicycle without a helmet. Texas is not immune to losing freedom in small increments which always lead to bigger increments.

Though many are logical please note restrictions on the size of grill one can cook on. That’s always how it starts and some bureaucrat is very proud of imposing that on the citizens. Next thing you know you have New York in Texas:
“Checky the FDNY website for the rules. No propane grills allowed in three family plus homes, charcoal must be 10′ from any combustible material and you must have water available (faucet & hose or in buckets, at least 4 gallons). Electric grills are okay if you have an outdoor outlet installed. If it’s a co-op you’d better have board approval. NYC is full of people who will call 911 or 311 on the slightest provocation, and if the FDNY come to extinguish an illegal barbecue, be prepared for a big fine.”
Nice State you had there,………shame something happened to it.

  9. Property rights and freedoms are the enemy of all the King Johns and Sheriffs of Nottingham.

  10. The problem is that most politicians are spineless idiots who will do anything to appease whiners and busy bodies with no regard for consequences. Both successful pols and successful activist groups learn the symbiotic rituals early on and use it to full effect.
Until something gives. Like dried up resource (money)or natural death. OR if they meet a vigorous opposition.
So … if you want to stop them before time runs out … be the squeaky wheel.

  11. Socialist state: You can only do what is explicitly allowed.
Libertarian state: You can do anything not explicitly forbidden.

  12. Bill Whittle should play the SunnewsTV documentary on the High River Raids by the R.C.M.P., it would show what happens to constitutional rights, once possession of a firearm is made a criminal offence.
Even peaceful, law-abiding small town folk are now victims of government molestation.
Here in Canada, so many have surrendered their Canadian heritage of freedom.
Someday Texans may, in remembrance of the Alamo, invade California and liberate it, so Californians can live as Americans in the land of the free, once again.
But who will liberate Canadians, so we may live in the freedom and enjoy the rights that our ancestors fought, bled and died to defend?
It won’t be Ontario, which though it is a failed state, the Liberal Party still leads in the polls.
Western Canada, via balance of transfer payments, are now subsidizing both Quebec and Ontario’s political corruption thus hiding the degree of corruption from both provinces voters.

  13. The best way to deal with idiotic bureaucratic regulations is to simply ignore them, or point out their idiocy. People are too timid now and not as willing to stand up to moronic statists as they once would have.
WRT the “cancer causing” chemicals sign required in California, I’d demand that every single vegetable, piece of fruit and any product containing potassium have a prominent warning displayed on it about the dangers of cancer as the result from ingesting K40. This is a radioactive isotope and one can easily pick up the radiation from a bottle of KCl with a Geiger counter. I’m sure the state can be sued for failing to abide by its own legislation and what is needed is a group to sue the state. I once got asked if I had any radioactive materials on me when I boarded a flight and answered that I had a considerable amount of K40 with me. I also answer that when it comes to liquids and gels I normally transport about 200 lb worth in my person but if that’s too much, I’d be happy to piss on the statist robots shoes to decrease the amount of liquid I’m bringing on board the aircraft.

  14. …The leave their own little sh*tpile because there’s no work and no hope, to create the same damned sh*tpile in their new homes…
sounds just like what is happening in our countries via Islamification…no different. And it is those same spinless lib progressive POS that accomodate the Islasmists as make stupid inane rules & regulations we are all currently suffering under.
