The Government The Deserve

Uh oh.

I learned on twitter this morning that the Ohio State University newspaper seems really pissed about this whole paying for health care at a young age thing.
Check the stories on that page.

Whoda thunk that 20 year old college kids would be pissed having to spend their beer money on something other than beer?

  1. The irony is delicious. Mobilize the youth vote, then screw them with a lifelong health tax they probably won’t need for 20 years. Do they or don’t they appear at the polls next time? This looks a lot like an unintended consequence – to alienate or lose this voter bloc.

  2. I wouldn’t expect to see them at the polls in 2014 or maybe even after that. Stupidity tends to be hard to fix. Just laugh at them when they cry that they will never be able to pay for anything.

  3. Since there was no link to check out the paper I tried going to uweekly directly, only to find all sites are down. Coincidence ?

  4. They have a problem with all the healthy young folks that they expect to pay the toll for everyone else. Why would anyone with a brain pay bugger all. Just go underground and stop paying any type of taxes what so ever. In the USA they depend on people to volunteer to pay and they don’t have any existing “hunt & prosecute” of the millions that “will” refuse to pay. Americans are not that stupid
Obamacare is DOA because they failed to hide the real cost to those that don’t need it. If only those that want free care are self enrolled the cost will not be sustainable.
They would have been better to just increase the roles of Medicaid. Medicaid is paid by those that have Insurance, which pay double for their health care (ABC had a report, this week, on the insane Hospital billing policy. Why is ABC that stupid that they didn’t know how the system has worked for >40 years)
BTW: How is it that Pelosi gets her Health care from the Mayo Clinic and all legitimate Medicare participants have to go to community clinics ?
    JMHO,

  5. Only 18 trillion in debit to go.
Then another 200 Trillion give or take a few bucks in unfunded liabilities.
    Now that’s allot of beer!

  6. But, but, they will get their transgender *ex changes for free. Won’t they?
    Serves the tards right.

  7. Don’t forget the benefits of prenatal care for men and prostrate exams for women too. It’s all part of the “superior” package. That should cover future LBGT issues along with the secks changes.

  8. I was absolutely fascinated by the front page. Who could have believed such a thing was possible? And at an (relatively, anyway) Eastern university? I’m sure there are going to be huge repercussions with the usual liberal/statists going bonkers over the sheer audacity of it.
I’m referring, of course, to the “Free Beer Delivery” advertisement. What were you thinking of?

  9. ObamaCare is proceeding as planned, the Trojan Horse for single payer. While all of us are enjoying our moment of schadenfreud, making merry, smirking at the naiive fools who voted for it and saying I told you so, the trap door is about to open letting out the saboteurs who will open the main gates of the city for the final battle.
Within ObamaCare’s deliberate Byzantine labyrinth of thousands of pages of legalese is single payer. Knowing full well that the very youth they claim need to pay for the system to work would never sign up in numbers sufficient to make the system sustainable, the insurance companies were guaranteed to be kept whole as the intermediaries to administer healthcare in the US. The US Treasury will write checks to the insurance companies indefinitely to cover any losses and thus guarantees the insurance companies a profit, not unlike a heavily regulated public utility. Since the insurance companies are merely the pass through, in effect, the whole US medical system is funded principally from one source: The US Treasury, aka, single payer.
Since everyone is complaining they are paying too much and more than ever before, the solution is obvious: Subsidize the people who were supposedly marked to support the boondoggle via the US Treasury.
Why did the Democrats in 2010 pass such a fraud using a party line vote? Why didn’t they just pass single payer in the first place since they had the votes? They had to prove to everyone via the carefully framed strawman argument that it was politically impossible to insure everyone using the market place and thus discredit capitalism. Now do you understand?
Obama flubbed the timing and messaging for the transition to single payer and that’s why liberals are angry with his incompetence. He failed to deliver the message, his one and only job as being the messenger.
Never mind that it was liberals who sabotaged the economy with their laws and regulations and their cronies at the State level insurance commissions created the situation of the uninsured in the first place via restrictive regulations that drove out choice and competition – all under the guise of protecting the consumer. We can’t have self sufficient people, otherwise what do we need moral and intellectual superiors for to tell us what to do?

  10. Obama is not leader – he’s reader.
A graduate of the Saul Alinsky school and highly skilled in the Hegelian dialectic.
Single payer is the unstated but ultimate goal of the PTB, everything we’re hearing now is simply setting the table. It will give the state a defendable excuse for meddling in virtually every aspect of every American’s daily life. In some direct or indirect way Obamacare will eventually impact everyone’s individual spiritual, mental or physical health – and not in good way (as defined by the state of course).

  11. What is really important about this is that Ohio is a key state in every Presidential election in recent history. As goes Ohio so goes which party takes the Oval Office. If students at Ohio Universities actually learn what Obamacare really is about and understand the cost to them it could bode very well for Republicans. But I’m not holding my breath.
