Re EBD comment – Too often we expect to get information from our media but we are instead served with crude, shallow humor. This, I believe is/was one of those times. Edmontonians and northern Albertans are agast at the destruction in the south part of the province (Fort Mcmurray, as well) and feel for those that have obviously lost everything. How can one start over if you are retired or just approaching retirement? How can one help your family or friend that is faced with no home and an uncertain future and must attempt to rebuild from the bottom? This is no time, not just a poor time for sarcasm or humor, NO TIME for someone’s tasteless commentary. I quit the Post years ago because of the pitiful attempts at humor by their cartoonists. (I love humor but the constant ridicule of the politicians – our leaders, is tiring, and boring.) In other media the Colberts et al have a huge effect on their followers and they accept no boundaries.
The Selleys and the Colberts should both back off. Maybe Selley would be better off in some other employ, like maybe renovations. The Post surley would be better off and the readers better served.
