At least the Egyptian protestors aren’t easily fooled. They can easily see through Obozo’s support for islamofascists unlike the MSM. If Obozo was truly supporting democracy in Egypt, he’d throw his support behind the protesters who are demanding a secular Egypt. That’s likely all it would take for the Egyptian army to move in and “restore order”. There are a lot of people in Egypt who are suddenly realizing that the muslim brotherhood is taking them on a one way route into total economic collapse.
Then there’s the puzzling aspect of Obozo declaring war on Libya without the approval of congress. This was another example of where the islamofascists took over a country which was far more secular before the takeover. In Syria, the best approach is a hands off one where the two sides pound the crap out of each other and are both weakened in the process. While Assad is a dictator who governs based on the Saddam Hussein model of keeping islamofascists under control, Syria is a secular state at the moment. The Al qaeda rebels who are fighting Assad are determined to make Syria yet another islamofascist state with the rigid application of sharia law. I thought we were at war with this group?
Syria has been in the Russian sphere of influence for decades and US involvement in Syria would mean directly coming into conflict with Russia. Russia holds all the cards when it comes to dealing with NATO as it can simply cut off fuel shipments to Europe and let the Euroweenies freeze in the dark. The European NATO countries have shown themselves to be spectacularly militarily ineffective in Libya given that they’ve been defunding their militaries and building bird blenders instead. The Russian military has been steadily improving as a result of European dependence on Russian natural gas and oil. The situation in Syria isn’t worth the life of a single US soldier nor is the situation in Egypt. The US embassy may be attacked in Egypt and my suggestion would be for the marines to hand over all of the Obozo picked diplomats in exchange for leaving the country.
In a matchup between Putin and Obozo, Putin is several orders of magnitude more competent. Putin hasn’t had much to do with Chechnya as the first Russian invasion of Chechnya was carried out by Boris Yeltsin. It was a typical brute force operation where the Russians used artillery to flatten every building in Grozny. A better Russian military then finished the job in the 2nd Chechan war. The Russians are probably kicking themselves for letting the Chechans return from exile after Stalin warehoused them in Siberia during WWII.
Obozo is looking like the primary enemy as his policies spread islamofascism through previously secular countries. Any US intervention in Syria would be an utter disaster and it’s far far more productive to have Al Qaeda killing off Iranian “volunteers” and Assads forces killing off more islamofascists. In many ways a win-win situation should the war go on for long enough and eliminate a good fraction of the islamofascist fanatics on both sides.

People are making a big mistake writing off Obama as weak intellectually. I think he has a very clear idea of what he wants to accomplish. I also think he represents a group direction not an individual one. He is smart enough to realize that change takes time and cannot be accomplished other than by incremental moves.
The biggest challenge facing America and the world will be as Obama’s time as president draws to a close. Who he supports as his successor will speak volumes to what long term goals are. I highly doubt Obama will endorse a Clinton presidency. I suspect that he will do everything to ensure a selection of his secret group.
