Watchers

507 visits per day isn’t a lot for a blog, unless they’re from one particular entity:

The American Spectator is under the watchful eye of the Obama Administration. Since January 1, 2013, federal government has been on the spectator.org website 81,164 times, with the IRS, Department of Justice, and the Department of Homeland Security leading the way.

Btw, the above information isn’t from a post, but rather pops up on your screen (it may take five or ten seconds) when you visit the Spectator; click [X] to close the box.

  1. I’m sure that’s just routine scrutiny. Why else would the IRS or the Department of Justice be monitoring the average American? Or the president lie about something as simple as why one of his ambassadors was killed or where he was when that occurred?
Now, let us never speak about this ever again.

  2. I didn’t get the pop-up, for two reasons, I use Mozilla as my browser (Nightly, the 64 bit version for Win 7) set to stop all pop-ups, plus the add-on Ad Block Plus, likewise set to stop all pop-ups. (I’m also severely restrictive in my Mozilla cookies settings.) Between the two, it stops almost all pop-ups.
Also, I have the excellent Mozilla plug-in DoNotTrackMe, which prevents viewer tracking via scripting. For everyone’s info, DoNotTrackMe told me that the following entities unsuccessfully attempted to track me at American Spectator: Facebook Connect, Google Analytics, Google Adsense, Zedo, Quantcast, Chartbeat.
We know from the growing number of articles on this Obama regime unConstitutional internal espionage scandal that Facebook and Google are giving data to the Obama regime. However, I don’t know who the other entities are. Any info on these, anyone?

  3. TOR is another one that the watchers don’t like. Ghostery is fun, boy never realized how often Google tries to get access from site to site as you browse. Its like a bad dose of the clap. Considering that Google and Facebook both work hand in hand with the NSA, not sure why folks use them. I use Startpage for a search engine, it does not track your queries.

  4. Government spying on political enemies goes on here too – has for a long time. Talk to anyone who runs an effective anti-establishment web site – the fed lurkers are on it like vampires at a blood bank.
It’s time we got used to the idea that those who lie to us and steal from us are also spying on us as well. With all the back doors and tracking bots built into operating systems and software your computer and cell phone have become surveillance tools – big brother is a pathological snoop at the best of times but when he feels threatened look out.
    Orwell’s fiction hasbecome fact.

  5. So I wonder if O-dumber is looking at say KOS. Naaaa, it’s one of their fund rasing buddies. Never touch them.

  6. Congratulations! If you want to get really uppity, file a FOIA request based on that info and put up weekly/month status updates thereof. I don’t what you’d request, but I’m sure y’all are creative enough to come up with something that will irritate the snot right out of ’em.
