40 Replies to “Because Nothing Says “Anti-Bullying” Like A Raised Fist”

  1. Yet another diversion of focus to something that the limp-wristed left want you to focus on other than what is going on.
They should be cited for littering.

  2. Blue Power; rah
What they’re really saying is that I am weak, but with a mob behind me…

  3. Is there anything that “bullying” doesn’t apply to?
I’d feel quite different about bullying, perhaps support this idea even, if I could apply it to the government of the day. The one that mandates how almost all aspects of our lives are lived.

  4. Yes, the vast majority of movements who use raised fists as a symbol are anti-liberty Marxist organizations.
We should remember, however, the Georgian youth movement “Kmara” – whose symbol was a raised fist – helped to bring Mikheil Saakashvilli to power in the “Rose Revolution” of 2007-08.

  5. I’d rather live with Wahhabis than the anti-bullying bullies. And I’ve lived with Wahhabis.

  6. I know right! Get this: my workplace recently ordered these t-shirts for EVERYONE in our company, so that they can take a picture of all of us wearing the thing. I raised two issues, 1. Anti-bullying is currently the most likely way for me to lose my freedom of speech and 2. The fist thing. Now I’m the a**hole. If you oppose this crusade in any way, everyone loses their s**t in a way I have never seen.

  7. I’m pro-bullying. It taught me how to fight back and not cower in the corner like a pussy. The general public are simple minded idiots that latch on to any movement that doesn’t require them to think or question their motives. It’s groupthink and it’s far more evil & sinister then the “bullying they’re fighting against.

  8. Gotta agree with Dave, one of life’s lessons is to stand up for yourself when some jackwagon is picking on you.
I’m about confused about the message. The Marxist fist, which is a violent symbol doesn’t jibe with
“You promise to stand up, in a non-violent manner, for those who are victims of bullying and unable or afraid to stand up for themselves”
More cognitive dissonance from the Lefties?

  9. You guys don’t get what these people are calling “bullying”. It’s not physical bullying someone, no that’s easy to put a stop to. They’re talking about what we used to call “teasing”. Now if you aren’t one of the in crowd you’re a victim of “bullying”.

  10. It’s not physical bullying someone, no that’s easy to put a stop to.
And how are we accomplishing that?

  11. Pretty hard to stop it when it is being taught in the schools.the biggest bullies of all are unions and the teachers union is the worst of the lot.

  12. Surly you’re not suggesting that the unions are prone to “physical bullying”?

  13. The “anti-bullying” kick that is now in vogue is nothing more than an attempt by the left to brand everyone that isn’t aligned with them as a “bully”. You could see it in the absolutely nonsensical blather that Harper was “bullying” Trudeau. The typical ruse of the left…..play victim.

  14. I hope you raised your fist and told them you aren’t going to wear their shirt no matter how much they bully you.

  15. So the lefties have stolen another word – bully. It now means whatever they want it to mean. It no longer means the visceral fear you had as a 10-year-old as you were going home from school and the bully might intercept and hurt you.
It now means that any expression of opinion could be bullying; notwithstanding that the real bully may still be waiting for you at the edge of the schoolyard. The bullies are now the in-crowd that may not accept you, not the thug that wants to beat you, after all the thug is deserving of lefty protection.
    Lefties are so conflicted.

  16. It’s the new racist, another way to legitimize one’s critics. ie. BULLY: A conservative winning an argument with a liberal. see also: SHUT UP

  17. We need to have SDA troll LAS charged with cyber bullying and have the government take his computer away.
As with LAS, ALL other online Liberal Al Qaeda, Gay rights, Feminist, and paedophile supporters need to be arrested for cyber bullying the general population on a daily basis.

  18. Haven’t these pathetic, misguided useless idiots been trying to tackle bullying for at least a decade now? And haven’t they made it worse in many ways, instead of putting even a little dent in the “problem”? How can such a large group of people be so blind , gullible and safe from consequence?

  19. When the Star and the CBC et al hound Rob Ford and make up lies about him, is that bullying, or is that some new aspect of journalism?
Because it almost seems like bullying, as defined by them….
How about Wafergate, was making up bald faced lies about Harper bullying, or is that some form of journalism we unwashed wouldn’t understand?
Or mocking Stockwell Day for his religious beliefs, was that bullying by the media?
If they want to find the ever elusive root causes of ‘bullying’, why don’t the idiots in the media just look in the mirror sometime?
Well, look in the mirror without preening and becoming sexually aroused by their own image that is….
Maybe kids learn that bullying is ok from watching the meatheads in the media do it.

  20. For a group who sees itself as the victims of bullying, the LBGT ‘community’ has become that which it purports to be against, thanks in part to the hyper political teachers’ unions.
That raised fist kind of says it ALL.
    This is an intimidation strategy.

  21. The current re-definition campaign means Bullying = Hurt Feelings
Therefore a Hurt Feelings Tribunal can defend you and extort money from whomever is teasing you.
Sounds about right, er…I mean sounds about Left.

  22. Stan….Your theory only applies to TV ads using the words of a politician as we’ve already seen from the MSM. Bullying can only come from someone on the “right” spectrum of the political landscape. Please refrain from inserting logic or facts into any conversation pertaining to this subject. Thank you. Have a nice day:)

  23. Tae kwon do. That is what I have to say.
Also, how NOT bullied will a bullied kid feel now that he has been made the object of attention? You might as well put a target sign on his back. Or teach him tae kwon do (see first point).
But this was never about bullying to begin with, lest we kid ourselves.
How can huskies, one of the cuddliest of the dog species, be a rape symbol? Stupid paranoid freaks have the power again!

  24. All comments to the site are moderated so they’re just looking for politically correct forms of hurt feelings. Doubt I’ll see my way of dealing with bullies appear on the site even though it utilized a fist in the same configuration that they’re displaying used to transfer energy to a bullies jaw.

  25. Yo! maz2
Montreal’s polyglot east end in my youth, we “allophones,” that’d be us non-francos/non-anglos- just “them furriners/les autres,” learned quickly that many, not all, of the French tough guys were devote practitioners of the religious cult of YFM~YFMG! “You fight me ~ you fight my gang.”
Lawrence Martin’s “Old Street-fighter,” Jean Chretien, through his behaviour reveals the true nature of this band of cheese eating surrender monkey machismo. Without RCMP security detail, Jean would have turned de tail and run away.
With no security detail at hand when 24 Sussex was invaded, who fought off the intruder? Well it wasn’t the police, and it most definitely was not Johnny. Nah!
The hero[oine] that night was petite Aline. Armed with nothing more that a bit of Innuit soapstone.
    “Street fighter man?” Myarsenic!!

  26. – and nothing says hypocritical clusterfug like another dystopian “progressive” crusade. This anti bullying meme is a way to introduce children to authoritarian sterilization of inter-personal relationships. Like all leftard authoritarianism it will get away from its intended purpose and create another childhood tyranny to be experienced in the public school gulag system. The blue fist is so Freudian – it is a telling symbol of “progressivist” way – force. In this case stopping the abusive use of force with abusive use of state force.
As others here have noted, “bullying” is a statist code/trigger word for arbitrary intervention of authority – it will soon be applied to silence and oppress anyone who strays/dissents from the shining path of progressivist statist enlightenment. A new tyranny in the making.

  27. Some observations from my decades spent teaching in a public school – the people and ideologies spearheading these campaigns are the ones who have contributed so very much to the problem. For years, students who abused other students were simply hauled into the principal’s office (and after a number of years of that, the school division’s psychologist’s office), where they were talked to about their feelings, about how hard done by they were, and some jargon about making better choices. Then the cycle repeated itself. There was rarely any punishment or consequence that mattered, and no intimation that the student had done anything “wrong”. No one ever hinted that the root cause of bullying was the bully. (Sounds like a terrorist discussion.) Now these same experts want to have assemblies, posters, slogans, and t-shirts. However, jargon in these forms will be no more effective than the jargon they have been using for the past 30 years. A self-centered individual who can spout jargon will still behave like a self-centered person. Until we are willing to confront the actual people doing wrong (not just “inappropriate”) deeds, all the jargon in the world only makes the jargon-meisters feel better about themselves. It’s not fun dishing out consequences, and Lord knows any teacher trying to do so will suffer the fury of parents, students, and administrators. Our educational leaders are smart enough to learn the latest catchwords and jargon, but not wise enough to step back and look at how the system is doing under their leadership. Unfortunately, our parents, media memes, and legal systems are taking their cues from current educational ideology. The tragic story of this girl aside, (and it is tragic, regardless of how it has been spun) we do have a terrible problem with this young generation, and I believe that much of the fault lies with the people who are now going to save us all.

  28. Don’t forget about the chief anti bullier who bullied Christian kids and verbally abused them. Dan Savage is a serious bully, yet preaches the leftist tripe but in reality is a hypocrit.

  29. Just get some blue paint, and add a raised middle finger to the first, for the group photo. If the company tries to discipline you, complain to the HRC that you have been bullied.

  30. The old Iron Fist-nice catch. Quite the contradiction-bully prevention through intimidation.
