The lethal “100-year, record-smashing” spring cold and snow spreading across Europe over the past month has for the most part been avoided like the plague by Germany’s mainstream media. The silence over the record cold and frost, which has killed thousands and cost billions, has been ear-ringing.
Yet some leading dailies are breaking ranks, and have begun to examine the phenomenon critically and openly.

  1. Be glad we live in Canada where the government is one of the very few in the western world to reject CAGW. Gaia is pissed off and Britain is going to feel the full wrath of Gaia. Just wonder if the few starving survivors are going to be any smarter than the population that headed like lemmings through a one way door into the freezer.
    Be prepared for the watermelons to call for even more drastic cuts to CO2 output and more carbon taxes as they require more and more sacrifices to their false angry god. Gaia doesn’t tolerate fools at all and under her watch only those who are attuned to objective reality survive.
    At least there will be more room on the world for future generations and the lucky watermelons will just freeze to death once the majority of the population clues in on how they’ve been lied to. We should move now and pass legislation to prohibit any UK watermelons from emigrating to Canada — they should face the wrath of their people at home.

  5. Here in south central Iowa we have reached or exceeded the average high for the day in question twice so far this month. Assuming that the chance of reaching or exceeding the average high for a day is 50% in any given day, there’s a 1 in 190,000 chance of this happening by sheer randomness. I skidded off the road on the global warming while driving to a client’s office Monday last week. Both I and my car were undamaged, but it really didn’t do much for my day.

  8. According to the translated article it seems like the oceans might be delaying the cooling.

The delay could be well explained by the buffering effect of the water masses in the oceans.”
    That’s an interesting twist, wasn’t it Michael Mann who scientifically noted the “travesty” that more warming has not been seen and thought that the oceans could be delaying the warming?

The Germans, for all their brilliant economic strategies, and for no discernible rational reason, have managed to become dependent on France and Russia for energy. I’m not a fan of government programs, but Canada should start one that relocates moonbats to Europe where the policies they advocate for have been enacted.
    BTW has anyone else heard the phrase “bureaucratic democracy”? A frothing left winger threw a tantrum at me, claiming that Canada (and Israel) are failing in their obligations to be one, or something. At first I thought it was just a slip of the tongue, but something tells me it’s not. Thinking back to my conversations with left wingers while Harper had a minority, left wingers tended to be just fine with that situation. I now think this was because they really do prefer the seat of power as a permanent bureaucracy.

    As far as the Die Welt article breaking ranks with the ice age article is concerned, the paper will most likely feel the wrath of the government as facts that interfere with the left’s agenda are unacceptable.
    It is interesting though that more and more dissent to the AGW religion is being published. At the same time, as the Daily Mail reports, the so-called conservative British government is still going ahead with imposing more painful unnecessary punitive carbon tax energy costs on their citizens.
    Harper may be more of a centrist than most of us here hoped, but at least he has not imposed national carbon taxes as Commissar Mulcair and the Liberals would like to do.

Silly bunts, it’s not about “glow-ball warming” anymore, the alarmists switched modes to “climate change”, so that any aberrant weather can be blamed on mankind (particularly middle class suburban North American consumptive patterns). It’s not about “industry” belching out CO2 anymore – now that North America is deindustrialized and China is industrializing, the last remnant of private wealth in the west left to “redistribute” lies in the savings, assets and productivity of the shrinking middle class. Linking bad weather (climate change) to common consumer patterns allows the pols to directly attack middle class wealth.
    This is why after a giant snow storm in late spring they an point the finger at energy consumers and say “we told you so” pay us tax to make it “normal”(warmer). We can already see where this is going with rapacious sycophant pols milking this new hysteria to levy “climate” (weather) regulatory taxes in manufacturers who have energy-intensive processes. Gone are the days of pretense over GHG emission being an “industrial” problem, the new kleptocrat meme is all about bad weather being caused by energy consumption – individual energy consumers – middle class householders.
    So turn those thermostats down to 10, walk to work at the commune, pull your produce to market in ox carts and generally prepare for 3rd world living conditions because they got it right.

It was so massive and violent, it flung huge amounts of dust into the upper atmosphere to reduce the amount of sunlight reaching the earth’s surface. Thus it was colder than normal. But the earth was already cool because the Little Ice Age, during which a prolonged solar minimum had already lowered solar radiation, was still underway. Tambora made a bad situation worse.
    Contrary to the warmist nonsense peddled by the likes of those old frauds Suzuki and Gore, Canada has more to fear from global cooling than it does from warming. A cooler planet would shorten our growing season and remove more northerly parts of the Prairies, where crops are now grown, from food production.

    Canada does have a carbon tax. A two percentage point reduction in GST by PMSH is a welcome reduction of carbon tax.

  23. And on Global TV ‘s news hour last night,the feature item was a “tar sands” bashing rant which mentioned how “Harper government” was not doing enough to alleviate climate change. The point was repeated ad nauseum and every left-wing “expert” they could dredge up was on to spew more of the same.
    The war against the AGW/CC lunatics is far from over, especially as the MSM acts as though “the science is settled”.
    Fortunately,I’m not a violent man,or I would have discharged the shotgun into the Global broadcast on my TV last night.
    This time every year, I hope and pray for another massive blizzard to hit the East to force the MSM bastards to show the hundreds of vehicles off the road on Ontario freeways.

    Yes, they pulled out of the Kyoto Protocols citing that they ‘didn’t achieve their stated goals’, but the Harper government mandated ethanol in my gasoline and the banning of incandescent light bulbs puts the lie to any practical claim to ‘rejection’ of CAGW.
    One of Britain’s leading Warmists publicly concluded a few years back that English children would soon have no first hand acquaintance with snow.
    This would be the time for some of the ‘leading dailies’ to be mocking that individual and any who had agreed with him.

Climate wedgies cover the cloudy days, rainy snowy days cold winters warm summers and all the real real scary things that frighten the cash out of, normal street idiots, media idiots, and your idiot politicians. When we allow the taxpayers money to be stolen by these climate wedgie interlopers we can only blame the left and the misinformed, which is one and the same, for many years now fools continue to buy newspapers and watch Hollywoodie garbage about scary climate wedgie scenarios all while filling the pockets of the thieves, time for push back, think of the roads, hospitals, medical research, schools, and hundreds of other useful things that could have been funded with all that stolen cash.     It’s supposed to be ‘thee driver’ of global temperature increase.
    That’s why the government is supposed to be justified in blowing huge amounts of money, borrowed at interest in our names, on extremely expensive alternate energy solutions that are not a viable alternative to CO2 producing carbon sources.

    They attributed it to Global Warming

    It’s a hoot that Germans have concerns about their reputations after that nastiness they perpetrated twice in the 20th century which cost somewhere around 70-75 million lives.

  34. So the Jew Killers pulled out of research on the oil sands. I suspect their research was pointing to there being no difference between the oil produced at Fort McMurray and any other heavy oil and that didn’t fit the agenda of the Master Race grovelling in their superiority.

  37. Well, I was tipped off to the target audience of the piece when the writer talked about ‘tar sands’ this and ‘tar sands’ that …the only time the term ‘oil sands’ was used was in a quote from Alberta’s Environment Minister Diana McQueen.
    I think this was a calculated move on the part of Germany as a reaction to PM-Harper’s rebuff to Merkle’s bailout overtures.
    I think in return, Prime Minister Harper should make a public speech inviting Europe’s entrepreneurs and brain trust to come emigrate to Canada as a lifeboat to flee the drowning man known as Europe.
