  1. WMD were sold to Saddam by the CIA and he used it on the Iranians. Does anyone believed that he used it all? Perhaps he had some left? “That” is what the inspectors were looking for, along with any sign he was producing WMD. Moreover, years ago, I was talking with a two tour Marine buddy whose platoon were ordered to guard a cache of weapons they found underground. It was the size of three football fields. Every night 9 and 10 year old kids would sneak in and steal whatever they could which they would hand over for IED purposes. The Marines chose not to shoot the kids, because they were kids. My point is, even the kids “stayed away from the barrels in the very back” because even they knew it was chemical or biological WMDs. The problem, was Bush had already admitted on air that they didn’t find any. It was better to let that issue fade then to suddenly declare “victory” after the fact like he did on the aircraft carrier, in front of the world. So they let the WMD issue drop. What Saddam lacked, was a delivery system for those barrels of toxin. But make no mistake, he had WMD. And it had German writing on the barrels, English, French and if I recall, Russian too.

If you’re buying into myths that old, I cannot assign any value to the rest of your comment.

  3. And yet all of this will have no effect. Iraq used war gas against its own Kurds. Nothing makes any difference to the left.
Perhaps when the Iranian Navy fires a ship-to-shore missile with a nuclear warhead into San Francisco or New York, that will have an effect on the left.
    Maybe.

  4. Bush made the victory speech in 2003. Also, my friend “After the 1990-1991 Persian Gulf War, the United Nations located and destroyed large quantities of Iraqi chemical weapons and related equipment and materials throughout the early 1990s, with varying degrees of Iraqi cooperation and obstruction”
So the WMD discussion is a 20 year old discussion anyhow. So leftie, keep you blinders on to anything that isn’t 7minutes old. P.S. Two and a half men starts in a couple minutes. Wouldn’t want you to miss it. And remember to put your helmet back on.

  5. Ok so the website tells me there’s 5 comments posted here but when I access it there’s nothing.
    Something gone wrong?

  6. This speech was echoed by various Clinton administration officials throughout 1998. Berger, Albright, Cohen … all warned about Saddam’s refusal to cooperate with UNSCOM and the dangers of Iraq’s WMD programs.
Then 1998 came to a close with Clinton’s Dec. 16 speech to the nation. In that speech he explained why he had authorized an air strike against Iraq. He made it crystal clear he believed that Iraq still had WMD and WMD programs and that both posed a threat to the Middle East, the US, the world. He warned that without UNSCOM inspections, Iraq would begin to rebuild its WMD programs within months.
A few days later, Iraq announced that the inspections “regime” had come to an end.

BAGHDAD (AP) — “Britain will help the Iraqi government dispose of what’s left of deposed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein’s chemical weapons, still stored in two bunkers in north of Baghdad, the British embassy in Baghdad announced Monday.
The British Defence Ministry will start training Iraqi technical and medical workers this year, an embassy statement said. The teams will work to safely destroy remnants of munitions and chemical warfare agents left over from Saddam’s regime. He was overthrown in 2003 following an American-led invasion.
Saddam stored the chemical weapons near population centers so that he could access them quickly, despite the danger to his civilian population.”
No weapons? Just what, then, are these troops doing?

Play nice with the other kids. 🙂 Not everyone knows that the Aircraft carrier personnel put up that sign for their mission, that it had nothing to do with Bush.
