  1. Much more here on the environmental debacle of shredding perfectly good vehicles. Don’t miss the comments.
Not only an environmental debacle, but an economic one. “Cash for Clunkers” took hundreds of thousands of perfectly serviceable vehicles out of the hands of the poor — who can’t afford new cars.
Which, of course, was a feature and not a bug. Cars are bad, so any program that discourages people from driving and forces them to public transportation (that dream of liberal utopia) is okay.

  2. a lot of the idiots who voted for Obumbles shot themselves in the foot, and are totally unawares of the fact!!

  3. The environment and affordable transportation for the 99% are of no importance. What matters is that Gov’t Motors sold cars and that taxpayer money was wasted. A very successful program.

  4. They took all those cars,(the # seems to vary),and never recycled them? Good grief. The price for the scrap alone would have paid for the program! Oh damn.Wait. Gubermint and business. The only combination that can take a who&&house(goggle mustang ranch) and bankrupt it! Just think about that for 1 sec…..bankrupt a cathouse?? If it comes from the gubermint, the UN,the EU,or any other local level….kill it on the spot.

  5. “a lot of the idiots who voted for Obumbles shot themselves in the foot, and are totally unawares of the fact!!”
Only missed by about 5 feet (on average). Pity!

  6. I was trying to explain that issue to a friend about a month ago.
This article explains the stupidity perfectly.
Very frustrating isn’t it that this is not front page news huh?
    Now I’m mad…… sigh

  7. “Stimulate” an investment by killing used car dealerships and the Salvage Industry.
    Well played, GMC.
Happened on Clinton s watch, BTW.

  8. Another fact that was hidden before the election. Every idea that a leftist has is total poison for society. All their “green” programs and ideas are ill conceived and not thought through. Only good for making lefties feel good and have no basis in reality.

  9. Fixed.
No charge, no subsidy required. Gave a Lady free advice in Church today, no charge. Not bragging, except for the Church part. Been a few years. like 20.
Never liked singing, without at least getting a few Pints of beer bought. Just a habit of mine, from my bar days.
