Laughing at Islam seems to be a worse insult and offense than killing Muslims. Iraq, Afghanistan, and the other Islamic basket cases accomplished little but cost us the loss of too many good soldiers. Perhaps the West would have been further ahead if we had just cranked-up the Cartoons and comedy routines. It certainly would have come across as more hostile than welfare and accommodation (dhimmitude). Don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream leftist TV comedy personalities to go down that road.

Al Qaeda should lighten up.
Our (the West) losses in Iraq and Afghanistan are not so much a measure of Muslim fighting ability but rather the insanity of naive western(UN) Rules of Engagement.

The article indicates that Muslims could be diametrically opposed in outlook — from savages like Al Qaeda/Shebab to this brave journalist.
He certainly had more courage than the average Western journalist.
Violence by religious fanatics in Muslim countries is primarily the work of Wahhabis and like minded folks (e.g. Deobandis in Pakistan, Khomaniacs in the Shiite Crescent). They don’t do it for God, but for power. Islam is just a cloak they employ to hide behind.
We need to make “Islamic Humour Day” a thing now. August 1st every year.
